I havent had a chance to do the Apex TF yet, but the Tin Mage one was enjoyable. Except for Bobcat hitting me for 5000+ damage at the end, there.

I'd probably break down and start developing software in my (now abundant) free time.

If people want to have an evil illusion controller, they can do this. If people want to have an evil illusion dominator, not so much. I understand your point, but the archetypes that proliferation may apply to aren't the same, so there is still an incentive in my eyes to proliferate powersets.

Why not? My brute was in a good place before the alpha slot, but piling on more recharge certainly doesn't hurt.
-
Well the thing is that fire melee benefits from fury more than it does for crits, so I'm pretty sure FM and DM are a lot closer for brutes.
-
Yeah, now that side-switching has been added, I feel that ouroboros can be made more like RWZ. The only issue I could imagine is making the zone dialog alignment-specific for the exit portal, but even then it seems pretty simple.

I'm pretty sure he's going stone armor, not fire, so fire melee would probably be a better fit/

What level is your brute? What's the build like? Defense-based secondaries are usually a bit... trying in the lower levels.

I took a WP/Ice to 50 and, while the AoE damage is decent, getting to 38 felt like an eternity. I've considered re-rolling as SD/Ice quite often. (edit: because it bolsters single target damage a bit with AoO, and adds more AoE damage in shield charge)

I remember reading Castle mentioning that the spines set essentially has several different secondary effects: slows/-recharge, toxic DoT, immobilize, etc. I get the feeling that the set would probably be "normalized" (looked at very carefully) before it gets ported to another AT.

House Fire (nothing tricky there)

Change placate to the original version bane spiders got: 20s recharge. -
I'm personally planning on leveraging recharge with both energize and shadow meld on my spines/elec.
Shadow meld, man. -
Sometimes, yes. I started a pact with a friend, for example: Helter Smelter and The Oresman. Too good to pass up, even if the power set choices turn out to fall a little flat.

Call me crazy, but I would either add a moderate amount of ranged defense to energy cloak, or a small +max hp to entropy shield to round out its mitigation just a little bit. Oh also, it's ENERGY aura. It should be strong against ENERGY.
Anyway, it has its moments. There are just more pitfalls than with other sets, in my opinion. -
This is pretty simple and I've always wondered why it's not in the game already...
By queuing a power (lets call it X) as another (named Y) is currently activating, the player will see a little red overlay on power X's icon showing that it will be next to cast.
Say instead of choosing power Y next, they decide to use inspiration Z. There will be no visual cue that the inspiration is about to be used as soon as the power is finished, yet it will be. My suggestion is to have a similar sort of overlay as an indicator that a player has an inspiration queued up. I feel this will add a bit more consistency to the UI and maybe even prevent a little unneeded button mashing when a player is unsure of what will happen next.
That's it, thanks for reading. -

I thought it would've been shortening the recharge on placate. -
Email an Awaken to yourself. Next time somebody's in a pinch (including you) you'll have one available. If it gets deleted... 250 inf lost, oh well.

Assuming that special cases such as metallic textures are handled differently, I'd say #1.
Things such as the original patterns for tights are noticeably lower resolution, and I can't imagine any reason to use one over a newer, cleaned-up version. Plus, there would be a TON of items in those lists, right? Might be a bit much if all the older pieces had duplicates. -
Oh! I need to get my tank out of praetoria before the justice round.
-
I'll join the spines/ice crowd, I've been wishing for the combination since power proliferation was first discussed. Plus with customization, you can make spines look MORE like bananas. I'll probably make a spines/ice something named Bananas Froster.
...and then make one with a name that I can live with. -
I chose /fire to bolster my aoe capabilities, and I don't know... there was something appealing about dealing damage in 3 different types when fiery embrace is up.
-
I was eviscerate, wasn't it? The devs felt the double-flip animation was "too much" for a set with powers that prevent you from jumping at all. And honestly, it looked really goofy.

Pardon me if it's the wrong place to ask but...
