Way to NecroPost Tony!
Where did you dig this thread up from?

A couple of times lately I have had CoH go "Not Responding" and go to a black screen, change to a white screen, then the game continues! This has happened 3 times since i13 came out. I want to point out, the message "Drivers not Responding" did not occur, when the screen went black I opened the Task Manager and it said CoH was not responding, I saw the screen go white and I waited for the "Drivers not Responding" message. I never got that message, and my video came back. SURPRISE!
Has anyone else seen CoH start working again after stopping?
BTW, some people have reported that underclocking their video card by a small amount stopped the "Drivers not Responding" crashes. [these crashes are caused by timing issues, change the timing and the crashes can disappear] -
I was debating trying for the second Hess, but I wanted Toy Collector so much!
I think too many people had Candy Canes on their mind Thursday. -
Winter's Gift IO, I want to be able to choose what level it is.
Since the Unique Slow Resist becomes inactive if you exemplar more than 3 levels below its level I do not want a level 50 version of it. -
Starcloud, I've played through these new arcs just yesterday and I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about here:

Finally, remember you're telling a story, not setting out to frustrate the players. City of Heroes has a very cooperative relationship between the developers and the player base. The antagonistic style of several of these missions is out of place in the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
I enjoyed the arcs, some spawns were top heavy and close, but more a challenge than a disaster.
Also:

Please review the way ambushes happen in missions. They do not suddenly spawn around the PC, but rather start at a distance and move to the PC. Further, they come in waves rather than all at once.
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't see this happen when I ran, your experience may have been a bug. -
I did both sets of contacts in Cimerora, having done the Sister Airlia arc first, the Daedalus arc made sense to me.

More troublesome, I don't really get WHAT's happening here. Why is Arachnos in Cimerora?
[/ QUOTE ]
I did enjoy both sets of arcs, but the villain arcs I found to be more enjoyable. I think that the reason that I felt more involved with the villain arcs was because I was actively seeking new goals whereas in the hero arcs I'm reacting to someone elses plots and machinations.
Only other comment I have on the Cimerora missions, Daedalus is unnecessary as a pet in the one mission. I would recommend removing him from that mission. (Mission is "Restore the Tabula Scutum") -
I haven't gotten my shield tank to even 20 yet, so the only feedback I feel comfortable giving is this:
My character looks ludicrous with that dorky run animation (sorry BaBs), I look like I need baby powder cause I'm chaffing badly in some very uncomfortable places!
I feel better now for getting that off my chest.
The character in question is a Shield/Stone Melee Tank, when I'm running around with the shield and the stone mallet in hand I look OK. When I'm running around w/o the mallet, the right arm is held stiffly in a vertical position. The run animation just looks awkward to me. (Maybe if the right arm was bent a little more at the elbow it might be more visually appealing. *shrug*) -

Well I was amused...

Thank you Hal!
It was that high pitched noise that was bugging me, with it gone I'm a very happy pyromaniac.

I can't stand the sound of Greater Fire Sword, I tried to silence it myself and only ended up frustrated. Anyone know which ogg it is?

Ok... here's Pretty Strong's description. See what you think:
The barbs started young. Your name is Pretty? Should be Ugly! Your name is Strong? Should be Wimp! The playground is a cruel place, and Pretty Strong endured slushies in her hair, daily wedgies, stolen lunches, and other inhumane abuses too vile to relate in an ESRB rated T game description.
Nevertheless, Pretty earned her first beauty pageant title at the tender age of 6. The headlines read, Pretty Pretty. By 16 she was a veteran and winner of 15 contests. But she wasnt done. The weight training began and it wasnt long before she was representing her country in both the Miss Universe pageant and the Olympics as a weight lifter.
With gorgeous looks and a savant level skill on kazoo, she won the former. With a decent clean and jerk and a powerful snatch she won gold in the latter. She had finally lived up to her name.
But childhood wounds have a way of lingering. Vindictiveness has a way of corrupting. And Pretty Strong has a score to settle with you and the rest of the world.

Love it!

I have a 50 dominator on my account yet I cannot start an epic villain AT. Why is this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Log onto your level 50 villain, then quit to the login screen. Log back in and you should be able to create a VEAT.
Enjoy. -
Hawk, the Coralax will ambush you if you run in the river or right at the shore. You don't see them above water unless they're ambushing someone, at least that was my experience in Red River.
And I found quite a few of them too! -

What does the Real Numbers windoid show for minions and pets, out of curiousity?
[/ QUOTE ]
It shows what powers they have. If you click one of the powers in their list, it expands to show all of its detailed information too.

We're not worthy! We're not worthy!

Brad, YOU might not be worthy, but quite a few of us are.
At least I am.
(I'm also excited and anxiously awaiting I12, when is it!)

I've got Swift from the Fitness pool, and it claims to be able to take any Enhancements from the "Enhance Running Speed, Enhance Flying Speed" categories. I have in the past slotted basic "Invention: something" IOs into the first power from a power pool, so why can I not place "Quickfoot: Run" into this power? Is it "working as intended" that this power cannot take sets?
[/ QUOTE ]
There were problems with the Stealth IO's, so no IO sets in Swift.
[ QUOTE ]
I've also noticed that Assault from the Leadership pool doesn't list any "Allowed Enhancement Sets Categories". All the other powers I took, though, from those same pools and from Leaping and Body Mastery, allow me to put IO sets in them if I want.
[/ QUOTE ]
Assault only takes Recharge Reduction and Endurance Reduction Enhancements, there are no IO sets of those types. -
I have a couple pre-ten year olds in my friends list.
Their typing skills are poor but they play better than some (a lot) of the people I've teamed with.

Natsuki for your outstanding work on testing Procs and writing an excellent introductory guide on Procs I think they should award you a new Forum Title.
I was thinking The Proc-tologist
What?
It was just a thought. -
Great work Mike, your fans a waiting for your sequels.
(I am only providing feedback to the author, I would never bump a thread for no reason.)

Mike, I read the Training Day chapters you have posted on the Stars of Paragon website. Very good read, thank you.
For those lazy people out there here's the link, go to Message Board, then Your Fiction (on the bottom).
Stars of Paragon
I brought this series to the attention of friends of mine who do NOT play CoH and they enjoyed immensely; one of them wants to upgrade her computer now so she can try the game out!
Good work Mike. -
I thought Douglas Shuler's comic was great, then I checked out his gallery and that was fantastic!
Doug, keep on making that great art, I'll be checking you website regularly.
(BTW I am not Doug, nor am I related to him in any way)

I voted 3 1/2 stars only because of the lag and DCs that Wentworths brought us. Thankfully the DCs seem to be under control, I haven't DC'd from WW in the last 2 weeks, but the intermittent mapserves and the framerate drops near WW still plague us.
If not for those problems I'ld have given I9 4 stars (even considered giving it 5 stars but the piston boots didn't look good on my toon)

I had a bizarre occurence with a Safeguard and I didn't see this item listed in Safeguard posts.
Here's your question: Has anybody tried to go on a Safeguard Mission but ended up on a different Safeguard map?
I was doing my first Safeguard in KR w/ a level 10 tank and when I jumped in the Paddy Wagon I arrived in KINGS ROW.
I wasn't stopping the bank robbery in AP like I thought, I was stopping a bank robbery in KR!
The mission was scaled properly (everything CONed white or yellow) so I didn't bug it. It occured to me afterwards that this seemed wrong. Don't all Safeguards take you to a different zone than the zone that you received the mission in?
Has this happened to anyone else or am I just "special"?
