Not to mention the fact that Praetorian America was likely a bit less anti-Imperialism than Primal Earth. This is an America that elected Joseph McCarthy President, after all.
-
Tyrant's costume isn't red-white-and-blue, and the Praetorian Guard were the patriotic guard of the rulers of Rome, so I'm not sure how this is a problem with the idea.

My Thugs/Dark is one of my verified AV soloers. There's really not a special tactic you need; keep debuffs on the AV, make sure you're hitting its regen as much as possible (Twilight Grasp and Howling Twilight) and just keep plinking until you win.
-
I'm pretty sure he's a native EB, like Ballistas and some other enemies. My character that runs AVs solo got an EB too.

I'm going to be a little smug, as my "Praetorian" suggestion seems to be winning so far.

Regardless of whom casts it, the base to-hit will still be 75%. And it's affected by its own enhancements, not other enhancements.
The only real question is whether your global enhancements effect it, which is an answer I don't know (I've never seen a point in taking the power, personally.) -
Quote:I've failed more ITFs than I've succeeded. I've been on three mothership raids with my main character (the same one that keeps failing ITFs) and don't have enough merits for everything yet. The ITF generally takes my friends and I a couple hours to get through, and, when I bring my MMs, tends to end in failure rather than victory. You make it sound like completing an ITF or doing a couple of ship raids are horribly onerous, involved tasks that demand a huge chunk of your life to complete.
So, yes, they are. Can we agree that maybe that's too much trouble to go through for a plumed helmet now, please? -

Honestly, the day of or the day before the new Booster hits would be a logical time to release the new issue. That way, the patch that releases the issue and the patch that includes the Booster can come together, and you only need to do one patch for two things.

I hate that compromise. Make the unlocks account-wide and you might have a deal.

Quote:No they're not. Whatever NPC pieces you release, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do away with the god-forsaken "unlocking" mechanic. It's not fun, it's not special, it's not needed, and it doesn't garner you any favour with the community. Also, NPC costume pieces are more fun when you have to unlock them.
Unlocking costumes is one of the worst parts of this game. All costumes should be available to everyone from level 1, full stop. -
Quote:50s don't get patrol XP; thus, I would assume that this power would have no use for level 50 characters. If that is still the case, then you are getting 150% of the cash for each kill for the equivalent of two and a half levels of XP.
With one exception: 50s still accrue "Patrol XP" to pay off debt (if they have it), so this could be useful if you're running something really hard and accrue a bunch of debt; you could click the power to pay off your debt and thus not lose out on the bonus inf you'd lose paying off debt the normal way.
But like I said, since this is not something other players can't do in other ways, I think it's a fine Vet Reward. -
As one of the main representatives of the "Vet Rewards Suck" party, I'd like to voice my support for this vet power. It's a nice little bonus for vets, and nothing other players can't get with a little more work (or, in this case, a little more switching up of characters.) A very good balance balanced supremely well, Devs.

Quote:Just in case the other answers didn't make it absolutely clear to others reading this thread (they did a pretty good job, but in my line of work I've found you have to be absolutely explicit with some people), every character, whatever their Archetype* and whatever side of the game they started on, must complete one of the four Patron Arcs to unlock access to the Patron Power Pools. These arcs are reported to be able to be run by either a villain or a rogue; I've not heard any vigilantes report being able to start, run, or earn the badge (the badge is what unlocks the pools.)Why do we not get to choose from the Patron power pool? We instead, have been presented only with Epic power pool options. Is this working as intended?
Regardless of which arc you run, you will gain access to all four PPPs for your AT.
All characters, also regardless of AT** and alignment, gain access to the Ancillary Power Pools (aka Epic Pools) upon reaching level 41, with no other requirements.
* Offer not available to Hero Epic ATs, aka Kheldians, aka Peacebringers and Warshades.
** Offer not available to Epic ATs - neither Kheldians nor Villain Epic ATs (Widows and Soldiers of Arachnos) have access to APPs. -

FWIW, I can look at that "missing square" graph and tell, by eye, that the slope has changed.

Quote:Firefly and Snowflake auras are going to be released as free content coming with i19.Wait: firefly is not in there. Does this mean we're still not going to be able to put it on female characters, after this is released?
If you don't believe auras are a lot of work, you really don't have even a basic understanding of computer programming. I will guarantee, stake money on the fact, that an aura is a significantly larger time investment than a costume piece (though I will allow the caveat that animated costume pieces like the tails we now have might be more complex.) I'd be willing to bet that each emanation point for an aura is its own separate piece of work.
In other news: I would pay to be able to unlock costumes already in the game. If a booster was released that did nothing but unlock costume pieces we can already get, I would buy it the day it was released (or earlier, if possible). I think unlockables are anathema to this game.
If I were to use a single phrase to describe this game, it would be "Create the Hero you wish to be." Unlockables fly flagrantly in the face of this, by adding the caveat "eventually, with some hard work and pointless grinding."
I hate unlockable costumes. I hate the aura/cape missions. I hate having a lot of the best armour pieces locked behind that ancient Nictus. And I really don't care how much whining it creates from other people; I will be glad to part with some of my extra entertainment dollars to be able to avoid the things I hate in this game. -

Rachel, please stop making me agree with GG.
