i'll be there on Ultimate Damz
^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
After 28 months i WILL win one of these soon!!!!
I'll tell people in my sg who dont read the forums to pop along too(well the ones with worse cossies than mine at least
)
-
I agree 100% with _Chi_, any decent controller player should at the minimum be able to hold its own in a 1 on 1 situation. Team pvp i would argue they'r more usefull than a defender. I would rather an ill/anything controller than any defender on my team pvp (before you ask i do pvp a lot but mainly with sg members/friends/random people).
Spectral Terror, ice slick, earthquake, Wormhole, TK - - - - - All perfect ways to give your controller enough time to lay your debuffs down and start ownin him. And damage is rarely an issue especially with epicsI know plenty of good players who can outdamage most ATs DPS on their controllers, even my ill/rad/fire was able to out damage 2 scrappers at once.
And how the hell are blaster and regens overpowered? Regens are easy kills if you know how to counter them (granted iv faced some very good regens in the past whether they still pvp though i dont know, ultimateregen-ninja you still out there?), so stop whinin and making stupid idiotic posts like these because all youv achieved is making everyones view on you negative.
Always going to be someone better than you, thats why we have the kaizan ( i think its spelt like that? its late) effect, to be constantly improving!!!!
Now . . . . . im in the pvp mood -
I agree in the sense that controllers do need a boost but in what area would we be boosted to keep the game fair? If they increased our mag hold we would be able to hold most players in pvp in 1 shot which is extremely unbalanced.
The only thing i could say to keep it fair is to raise the base damage of controllers but lower the containment damage.
Iv only mainly got pve experience on my ill/rad i'll be honest but it is by far one of my strongest toons. Last few days iv been having competitions who can clear a certain map the quickest (the family mission) and i came out on top everytime.
Its like the description says "strongest and weakest of al ATs". Most of the time i feel unbeatable with my high dmg, heals, debuffs, buffs.
Can i ask what lvl and powers your controller have? The only powercombo that i can think of that might seem underpowered is perhaps Earth/Emp but then logic says thats a team based toon.
Ok i put in too much there but its early/late so im allowedControllers in the right hands are the most dangerous foe to face against, Ultimate Damz v DM/SR scrapper, Ultimate Damz wins 2 - 0. So its not totally underpowered
-
Im available for any pvp related stuff anytime tomoro, hopefully be some events up ^_^
-
How many veteran badges must you have to be able to apply?
-
i'll be there, love sirens pvp ^_^
Can bring either
Ultimate Damz (ill/rad controller)
Sonof-damz (MA/Sr scrapper)
Ghostof-damz (mind/ta controller)
Damz (Peacebringer)
Shadow Waster (warshade)
Guardian Damz (fire/ss tank)
Healer-damz (emp/nrg defender)
Will let you decide which will make for the most fun zonal pvp -
[ QUOTE ]
Temps aside, you won't be doing decent damage at low levels as an Ice/Earth troller. Both primaries are meant to offer more crowd control potential, not damage.
[/ QUOTE ]
ice i agree with but i found my earth troller was more than able to handle himself on the damage front. The only problem i had was against CoT's but apart from that, no probs at all. -
I can only comment on earth sorry but yeah i love fissure as it does decent dmg especially with containment
Also be sure to take earths embrace, you turn into a tankintroller then ^_^
For farming though i would have to say your choices are either fire or earth. Would have to wait until someone with fire experience comes along though sorry -
cheers all for the replies, will change my build shortly
the IO's were 2bh jst random ones chucked in, it was mostly the powers i was looking into
With the fire epic iv currently got earth mastery (mainly for the +hp which takes me to jst under 1700 i think), but i would like some form of damage and figured emp + fire ball would make for some heavy damage numbers.
I really dont want psi though because too many controllers have it and i want something to stand out a bit better.
On my current live build i found that enhancing the hold in blind wasnt really worth it since the entire mob is usually dead (or at the brink) before it wares off, so thats the reason i went mostly for the damage
Cheers for the advice anyway, will take it all into consideration ^_^ -
For all my low lvl trollers this is the attack chain i use:
Immob/hold/air superiority/sands of mu
I tend to find 1 on 1 that attack chain is more than enough at the low levels, even without the debuffs/buffs of your secondaries. Also the temp powers from the side missions in safeguards shouldnt be forgottenvery handy if you can get hold of a dmg temp power
-
Stalkers needed the ability to reach the stealth cap simply because there are too many ways now to avoid being killed.
Example my SR scrapper, will all toggles on he will most likely get AS'd but then after that i can safely say 8/10 times the next attack will miss and i can use the aid self (read earlier you saying about interupt heal - a lot of pvpers take this power and slot decrease interuption time in it, its well worth it) to get me back to full health before releasing a fear or knockdown power to give me enough time to finish him.
Stalkers are a pain to fight everyone will admit but if you took away their stealth cap/raised perception cap then you would be throwing away their only/main ability to pvp.
(btw iv faced stalkers who dont use hide for 1 on 1s so i know they got other abilities too).

This is the build i plan to use for my 50 when i get my next respec, any helps or tips will be greatly helpfull
Also this will be my main toon for influence/salvage collecting which means i'll be running solo most of the time on this

I can do it monday from 4:30pm onwards so if it hadnt started by then give me a /t on Shadow Waster.
Lvl 28 (probs 29 or 30 by monday) warshade for you -
If its on the sunday then i'll defo be up for it ^_^ times would be welcomed ^_^
-
i prefer the pvp battles in RV more than sirens. My troller actually stands a chance in there
-
We need "flyers" as such to control in a pvp zone!
Surely it wouldnt be THAT hard to do? You click on the "flyer" and then shape shift into that form, while shapshifted you gain access to say 6 new powers but unable to use your own.
Basically like the kheldians shapeshifting
I wouldnt want them powerful or anything though, just something to add the fun back into pvp
Edit: hehe actually in the morning when im sober and awake im going to make a detailed description in the suggestions -
[ QUOTE ]
Some of the reasons probably being that all the good stuff that makes Warshades monstrous are the buffs they get off mobs. Big mobs, lots of enemies = a sexy, vicious Warshade.
Now if you could get everyone in a PvP zone to kindly stand still and near each other so you could buff off em, problem solved.
[/ QUOTE ]
and thats why i want to test my WS against a mastermind -
So ummmm what was the topic about again?
-
lol i shouldv phrased it better, i meant that given the choice iv known people to choose a PB over a WS regardless of level.
Also that PBs are far more common than WSs reallyand yeah i just became a member of the doublemire - s/circle and i will admit i did doubt how awesome s/circle would be . . . . . now to get to 32
-
How come i hear so many bad things about warshades? in the peacebringers are the uber and that warshades are the suxor?!?! Just got my warshade to lvl 22 and omg . . . . . . it is by far my most powerfull character EVER!!!!
Level 22 and im farming mobs already and having full end/health right after it?!?! Iv just been street sweeping the 10+ mobs in striga and killing them all in like 2/3 hits!! How come a lot of people are very negative towards WSs?!?! Its so dam powerfull i just HAD to post something about it on these forums!
PBs might have a self heal, but wow they cant farm mobs like this ws can
*btw i might be in love with the ws*
/endhappyomgthispwnzs rant -
For zonal you cant really go wrong with:
Illusion/rad
Fire/rad
Mind/rad
Personally not a fan of kinetic in pvpThe only problem you'll find with the rad is that the start of the battle you'll have to be very mobile/nimble in order to stay alive long enough to get your debuffs out. Once theyr out you should win easy ^_^
-
Thanks all for the replies
Time to work the auction house again (or actually turn up to a hami raid lol).
-
Just a quick question, atm im thinking about doing a complete character revamp on my ill/rad troller, but iv come up against a brick wall on the phantom army slotting.
At the moment its something like
93% dmg
62% acc
30% end red
47% recharge red
I know im going to have to at least double the recharge in it but my question is this:
Is it worth slotting for acc/end red?
If it isnt i can solve my slotting problem easy. Oh and i know the figures on it look rubbish at the moment. Not enough influence to correct it yet -
Ummm im going to take this build as of the opinion thats the order your going to take the powers as you level.
If so then get blind at level 1!!! Blind + Spectral wounds will be your main/only souce of dmg output until level 18!!!
Im guessing your building a team support toon since your emp (not that emps cant solo . . .they just easier in teams), but without seeing slots i dont think there isnt anything that strikes out wrong
Although if you slot correctly you could possibly skip stamina for another power (hasten) since iv found illusion to be VERY endurance friendly compared to some of the other sets.
Otherwise nice build -
if someone uses inspirations after loosing . . . . beat them again!!!
If your a controller and they use a couple of breakfrees . . . . screw it!!! beat them anyway with raw power!!!!
correct me if im wrong but breafrees dont help against fear??? If so . . . . use fear!!!! ^_^ If not . . . . . ummmm then death isnt as bad as people make out to be
