    Are we *sure* that processing salvage counts?

    Mind you... it does take AGES just to do 1k...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    It does (or did before i11, not sure since then) count when converting base salvage to components.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    100% does, got 1 of the crafting badge while combinin the base salvage. Quick and easy way to get the badges, plus you may as well get the tempory buffs from them then also
  3. Yeah because villains soooooo cant sit on top of the hero hospital door in sirens picking off whoever they want.

    Theres a way to get to the others hospital in every zone. Bloody bay is my fav since the safest route is underground to it

    lol ok what is better to take inki aspect or orbiting death?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Once you reach the higher levels you can "tank" in human form by using inky aspect. If you click all your toggle shields on + inky, when you tp into the mob ALL the minions will be stunned and thus you'll only have the lieuts/bosses to worry about

    And to answer an earlier post you only really need stamina if you plan on going all human/mostly human imo. Stygian circle is up way too often to waste 3 power choices (however you will need it for EB/AV fights ).
  7. [ QUOTE ]
    Another shining example of the PvP community and their brilliant way of putting non PVPers right off ever trying. Why do you PvP? For glory? For the challenge it provides? For the ability to laugh and gloat when you beat someone? I'm guessing if it were for the challenge as opposed to the gloat factor, you'd be welcoming the new powersets and be in awed wonderment about what additional tactics you would need to employ to triumph! However, if the latter were true, you'd be worried that the new powersets might mean the gloat factor was lower because your chance of victory was lower as well. Given the tone of this post, I know which I side of the fence I'm putting my inf on.

    Fact of the matter remains. Wait until the powers are on test before crying wolf. Otherwise, the chance of anyone having any time, or any respect for such outbursts will be extremely low.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Totally agree with this. I LOVE the challenges that pvp brings.
    Me and a few supergroup/villaingroup members have already agreed to have a mass free4all in the teen levels Should be both manic and funny as hell ^_^
  8. Pvp = a warzone

    Warzone = ever changing battlefield/tactics

    New powersets = new tactics!!!!

    In a 1 v 1 situation are you saying that a /storm mm cant beat a psy/ blaster?
    That a earth/ dom + an /storm corrupt cant beat most hero duos? Please . . . . those combos when played right would cripple most teams.

    No perma chance of another BU if you slot it on BU sadly

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Thing is, as per Mid's, that enhancement grants a 20% ToHit with a 5% chance of activation. Is it worth a 20% ToHit if you already have FA?

    [/ QUOTE ]No, but the 100% +damage is nice

    Although personally, on the one scrapper I have that SIO it's in blinding feint instead.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Aha, didn't see that on Mid's but obviously that's better, still for me doesn't justify FA.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Got this on my MA/SR scrapper and i have no issues with missing when its not running so like you i could easily skip it.
    BUT (we all love this word really) i do plan on 6 slotting it (the set with the chance to build up, cant remember the name at mo) since the build up effect does become quite noticeable and the extra defence it gives me via set bonuses is VERY nice.

    I guess it all comes down to endurance management and attack chains. My attack chain is constant and endurance problems are non existant so it enables me to easily keep this power on all the time.

    Stupid long post almost over ( )but basically its worth the choice just for the defence set bonuses + the chance for build up. But i do have slots to spare regarding that statement.
  11. hehe yup plasma girl you was in our supergroups base (paragons hope). Hope you enjoyed the base visit/cossie contest though
  12. * Teleports
    * nice hospital
    * Supergroup meetings
    * Base parties
    * Putting in enhancements for lower levels to use (like to put in 1 rare IO enhancement a week)
    * Salvage storage
    * Buffs

    Bases in the last few months have become such an important fun factor for me personally. If you design them right and have a good supergroup, your base will be awesome and feel like a second home
  13. Warshade hater *pokes with stick*

    Choose a warshade!!!! Join us!!!!!!
  14. The only annoying power i REALLY hate seeing used on me is glue arrow. On my melee toons i may as well call it a day as soon as thats hit me

    Phase shift im ok way since while theyr "phased" it gives me time to heal myself up back to full and get a status effect power ready for when their health gets down to the "press phase shift power" level. I know of a few /elec brutes in sirens that phase shift a lot, and its always when they get to the certain level. As soon as i figured out where that level is . . . . it became much easier to defeat them

    I do prefer "old school" pvp though i will admit. Me and some people in my sg still have classic arena battles in which the person whos ranked highest at the time (pvp wise) gets put into a handicap match (say 2 on 1), keeps things interesting
  15. let PA/imps benefit from containment and everything will be perfect in my world
    No need to change this, lets the majority of us solo much easier when we cant find teams or just want to chill for a bit.

  17. Quick question people iv read a few of the guides for storm/elec and they all seem to differ and made me even more uncertain. So are there any powers that i should AVOID taking? Im going to be doing mostly solo/teams and im defo not going to take gale, but any other powers that should be low priority?
    Travel power wise im taking tp btw. Ty for any help on the subject also
  18. If its sunday put me in the reserves. (already got the badge so would only be doing it for prestige/aaaddrrrriiiaaannn moments)
  19. The main reason i chose an empath as my first main toon was because i liked the feeling of that when the team has bitten more than it can chew, a good empathy can save ANY team.

    A good example of this would be when in a mission we (a PUG btw) somehow managed to agro 3 seperate groups. Keeping the team alive was hard enough as it was but when they accidently "freed" two hostages in the midst of all this, another 2 groups joined the action. As you can imagine the group was takin heavy damage and everyones endurance was runnin low since the battle was going on forever
    However due to constant heals/cms/forts/RAs we won Yes the easier and more logical option wouldv been to retreat until it was safe again, but imo the game is about constant against the odds action and thats where having a good empathy comes into play. Find a good empathy, knock the difficulty up and just let rip into the enemy mobs.
    The only drawback about being an emp is that on "easy" missions you might be seen as leeching which then raises another problem.

    Do you build a pure "keeping the team alive/buffed" toon?

    or

    Do you build a toon that can add something to the attack force in the group?

    On a sidenote if my warshade was teamed with an emp, there would be nothing it couldnt handle
  20. EU_Damz

    Dodge?

    [ QUOTE ]
    If you really really have to skip a passive, skip Agile instead, ranged defense is important imo, but less important than AoE defense or Melee defense. I would take all SR passives, but if I had to skip one, Agile would be my choice.-

    [/ QUOTE ]

    agree with this, AoE toggles were the last ones in my list to take. You just encounter ranged/melee far too often to ignore those toggles.
  21. The only problem you'll face with SR is that you will dodge most attacks, however when you do get hit you take the full force of it.
    On my SR toon i didnt really feel powerfull until the later levels when you can start to slot the powers more effective.
    Basically lower levels you will struggle on a general basis . . . . however in the higher levels after youv done some slotting, iv gone some entire missions without even taking a single hit.
    Give it time and patience, i promise you that after a while you will feel unbeatable
    SR = the strongest AND the weakest secondary imo, but i'ld pick a good SR over a good regen anyday of the week
  22. Currently level 30 on the live servers so thought it would be best to start planning my finished build. Any thoughts and hints would be greatly appreciated since im still unsure about a few powers in the build.

    EDIT: As you can probs guess im trying to be in human form most of the time (hence why iv slotted for increased immob/holds).

  23. For solo play/single target damage the PB is by far the more efficient i find, due to some serious high single target attacks/self heals/build up.
    However the WS in teams . . . . . . well what can i say apart from iconic. Im slowly building my WS into a human only form WS and so far . . . im very impressed at just lvl 29.
    All shields + Inky Aspect on, TP into the middle of the huge mob = all minions automatically stunned (if your acc is good enough ), sunless mire, aoe/cone the lot of them and mop up the still stunned minions who moved out of range
    The only problem you might find with your WS is that while most of the time it does seem unbeatable and truely epic, it will defo seem like the ultimate squishy in small mob spawns The WS's strength lies in large mobs.
