Would be a great house for the initial part of the Zombie Apocalypse. The hunker down portion. But after that not so sure. Although, how nice is it to be able to take a swim?
Also this site is easier to view than the yahoo pictures (you can see all the pictures at once instead of having to click next):

Edit:
I wonder if it is also chem or bio hardened? Any air recycling/filtering installed? Hmm... One wonders. -

After 7 years of playing I just repeatedly click doors (especially hospital doors, not sure why they are the worst) until I get through.
It has always been a pain. -
There is no mistreatment of said soldier. He is currently on his way to Levenworth (or is already there), and is being treated as per regulation.
What he did was a heinous crime against his country.
To even remotely think that this wikilinks ordeal is good for anything is absurd. There are people dead now because of it. Not possibly dead, really dead. People that risked their lives for whatever reason, to bring truth to light.
These kinds of secrets must be kept because there are evil people in this world, and one of the ways to guard against it is with clandestine activity.
The only people served by wikilinks are the enemies of the western world. People that want to bring destruction, death and harm. Assange is not a hero, he is an accomplice of evil men around the world that live only for the atrocities they commit. -
Quote:Absolutely.Which IMO, is totally useless.
Seriously, how often do yu ever see a league with lower than minimal standards to start a trial? I didn't think you could start one with less than minimal. How often does a league drop below that minimum standards during a raid? I know I've seen this work once for me the first day I20 went live. To me it's a useless feature.
Allow people to join if the league isn't full, that way people aren't left out to dry when it comes tot he raid content.
The DEVs should give us a toggle that can set the league to private. That way we can join in progress "pug" leagues, and people can have 'private' leagues.
For now I've all but given up on the turnstile. I've waited hours for the silly thing to work. -
I do remember there was some weird way people could kill themselves under Atlas. I thought it was something to do with falling, getting to 1 hp, and then some power crashing which basically killed you. So... you know, wasn't the fall that killed you...
-
I think we were safe from dieing from falls from the beginning. Pretty sure at the beginning it only took you to 1 hp. I believe that it was one of Jacks design philosophies, that heroes didn't die from falling. My memory could be wrong... but I've been here since CoH closed beta, and that is how I remember it.

Quote:It is a thematic issue. Role playing I guess. Character is in a Hero only SG, is an officer in said group. So, yes. Is a no go. I do understand that it is an easy task to accomplish, and that I could. Not complaining at all, just saying I chose not to follow that route with this character. Is it a role playing issue? I haven't done it, but what, you run twenty tip missions, two morality missions, a patron arc, twenty more tip missions, and two more morality missions, right? It takes a while, but if you like the character, you were presumably playing him. To me, unless there's a role playing issue, there's little difference in running those missions vs. running other content. And if you really hate it, you can set yourself on -1x1 and steamroll it.

Quote:Yah, I was refering to Soul Mastery. My Regen scrapper will not be going red side. So no Shadow Meld for me.Can we get Demonic? I thought we only got the patron powers for a trip through red side. Anyway, without Demonic or Void, at high recharge:
Shadow Meld -> Moment of Glory -> Shadow Meld -> Barrier -> Shadow Meld -> Moment of Glory -> Shadow Meld
Then you're down for a bit, but that's two whole minutes into the fight with a big defense buff the whole time and quite often a big resistance buff. And yeah, I'd be picking up Void too. Of course you probably won't just chain those like that, but rather use them situationally, but it's nice to know just how thorough the coverage can be.
Edit: I am very much looking forward to Barrier. That is going to be a nice addtion. -

Quote:Looks like a great chain for those on Red Side. Blue side doesn't have the ShadowMeld. You should have already built for recharge, if not, fix it. You're regen, Healing and Regen should be covered, as well as Recovery.
If you have MoG and Shadow Meld ... Adding Barrier will be silly good.
Shadow Meld -> MoG -> ShadowMeld -> Barrier -> Shadow Meld -> Void -> Shadow Meld -> MoG -> Shadow Meld -> Demonic -> Barrier -> Shadow Meld-> MoG -> Shadow Meld -> Void -> Shadow Meld -> .... Hold on 20 seconds and another one will come around. But really, if by now you're still so deep in the pile that you need it, you bit off way more than you have any right to complain about. -
I've done quite a number of BAF runs the last few days. All Mo (or attempts at). I have only ever gotten Uncommons. I might have gotten something when I got the Mo badge, if so I didn't see it.
The end reward table has always, for me, been an uncommon. I've been running a DM/Regen Scrapper. I have tier 4 alpha, and nothing else unlocked (still at 88%).
I do what all scrapper do. I go where I am supposed to and punch the crap out of things. Apparently I've not been punching enough to count as participating.
On a side note. My judgement slot. The first time I was in a BAF I got to 68%. Everytime sense I've gotten 4 - 5%. I've no idea what caused the difference. My guess is the first time I had a Fire/Fire Blaster on my team. I am guessing he had a lot of AOEs, and was doing tons of AOE damage. But as Arcana points out, I have no logs, and am only guessing. -
This story could end with purple carp melee monkeys and I don't think it could get any worse. Hard to even care where it is going.

Quote:I am quite tired of these kinds of comments. One of the functions of the forums is to provide feedback. Anyone paying their monthly fee is very much in their right to jump onto the forums and give their opinion. You don't have to agree with anybody who likes what you don't and they don't have to agree with you. People that hate the incarnates, the endgame content and/or the raids keep pussyfooting around trying to do logical somersaults to avoid the harsh, simple but obvious answer: If you don't like it, don't do it. There's your advice.
But to say to some one just voicing their opinion that they should just sit down and shut up if they don't like something you do is silly.
Look, I'm glad people like Issue 20. I don't begrudge anyone that likes raids or Praetoria this content. I am happy we have variety. My worry is that future issues will just be more of the same. And that, to me, is not what I want to be paying my monthly fee for.
I think it would be wrong to ignore any portion of the player base. Issue 20 isn't for me. That is fine. If Issue 21, 22, and so on are just more of the same then that becomes a point were they have decided to ignore a section of their player base.
I like some others are voicing our opinion, hoping that we get some consideration in future Issues. -
I am disappointed also Moo. It is easy to say "this isn't for you go do something else". And if it is just a one issue thing then I can almost agree with that.
My worry is that this is the trend of things to come. I worry that the next couple issues will be this same thing. And that I think it is worth worrying about. I pay my same monthly fee. And while I understand some like this, not everyone does. I do agree we should have variety, as long as that variety includes those that have no interest in raids. Future content should include those that prefer small teams. Those that like raids got them this issue.
Variety also would mean that future content isn't focused on Praetoria. I've had about enough of it. Something new now please. -
Bill, you seem to be reading my mind lately. I was going to post this. I want the chest symbols to show up in a box just like the SG symbol screen. Make it so you can use your mouse wheel to scroll through the box and then select the one you want.

Quote:Wow, very interesting. You can find him in Healix's missions, namely her story arc here:

Quote:Who is his Praetorian counterpart? What arc / level can I find him?Amen to that. One of the many reasons why Doc Vahzilok remains one of my favourite arch-villains. I loved meeting his Praetorian counterpart, no matter if it was only briefly.
And yeah, Cyrus Thompson was the man. So was Aaron Walker but Cyrus was there first. Makes me well up every time. -
I have logged onto my account and I haven't seen this new security stuff. Last time I logged on was when the Animal pack went live. Maybe I should go check this out.

I think one of the fundamental flaws of the base building editor is the fact that is can only be used by a small portion of the player base.
Yes, anyone can make a one man SG and earn prestige slowly over time. But realistically this is a feature that is enjoyed by only the SG elites. I have to wonder how many people have never even opened the base editor?
Had they made this feature secret base / lair / whatever. And made it so that everyone got there own. Then it might be different. You'd have a higher population of game players that actually care about this feature. -
I knew that before you started posting it all over. Yes, I know what the next two trials are. Doesn't change my mind or my hope that they come to their sense.

Quote:I've posted a few times too. I had to highlight a part of your post that struck me. That is dead on. It just seems contrary to what I perceive to be the game. It seems contrived. It doesn't seem like a comic story. It just feels like more of the horrid writing we've been getting since Issue 15 (Reichsman anyone?).I'm in the same boat with the OP, and I've posted a few times now similarly.
I was excited for Incarnate stuff - eager even.
But, now that it is here it feels wrong to me. It doesn't feel like CoX... and sadly is coloring my entire play experience from level 1 on a newbie, to my level 40 striving to win the good fight, and my level shifted incarnates. It is there, like a high pitched tone on a bad phone line. Logic is out the window, no matter how I've tried to get it back. At this point it is a gut response to what has been done so far...
Since it hit, I've played less and less. At this point I haven't even logged in for nearly three weeks.
No, I cannot say what I would do different. I like the structure (well, Lore is kinda silly) of the implementation. But is is linear, it doesn't allow any sort of choice/freedom. The game mechanic, IMO, has been poorly supported by story and narrative structure. And this grates and disappoints terribly.
It has actually gotten worse as I've filled my spare game time with Mass Effect and Dragon Age - shining examples of moving down the same path with choices.
Anyway, I've found the same thing. I am finding myself and my limited play time drawn away to other games. I just hope they come to their senses and change directions.
Quote:I think - well, fell - that this is still in some way a holdover from Incarnates initially being mentioned as an Epic AT. Epics do precisely that - you're a specific origin, with a specific storyline given by contacts specific to you. It can be done well (Khelds, going from current status to Kheldian history (Winslowe's Cosmotron) explaining why they're fighting the Nictus, to the Nictus plans for the Earth - and thwarting the same) to ... not so well (the VEAT storyline.)
As an actual EAT, the whole "Well" schtick would be perfect. Learn about it, get empowered by it, battle for or against it, find what's made it 'insane' and cure or stop it.
As a game system... not so much. It feels tacked on, it's running roughshod over our own character concepts, and it feels forced.
I know there are many kinds of players of this game. It seems to me those that object to the system are those that put the emphasis on their character concepts. Those that think it is great and fun, seem like the kind of player that hits the random button for a costume, and is more concerned with challenge and power progression. I recognize there may be players that fall a bit into both camps. But for the most part it seems that players that care about the concept of their character are just being ignored.
And this is the key element that feels wrong. From 1 - 50 we can make any character we want. If we need to hand wave or ignore a mission or two then no problem, especially since the entire game revolves around giving us the ability to make our character play and look like we want them to. Now come Incarnates and suddenly all that is gone. The worst example is of course the Lore ability. But that isn't the only offender. We could start with why our Natural origin martial artist or the tech savy inventor are suddenly getting powers from some watery tart. -
England was my first duty location when I was in the military. Spent 3 years there. One of the funniest things I heard was a young English lass telling a GI to "come by and knock me up in the morning".
Heh... didn't mean what he thought it meant.
