The problem with reactivating accounts, then being on test is that reactivated accounts can't get onto test due to the delay in updating records about active accounts there.

I'll admit that some of the changes, especially EU side have hurt. I'll freely admit that there have been some poor decisions made. I'm in no way saying the game and world are perfect.

But I still enjoy this game (much more since we got loads of fun new content in issue 14) as an escape, and the general feel of bitterness on the boards gets to me.

The main problem I get at WW is the lag when shopping. I click things, they seem to have gone through normally, I move on, then find I've spent 1,000,000 on a level 10 Training Enhancement!

There is nothing, absolutely NOTHING the devs could do, that would stop the complaining. Even if there were detailed requests, and they supplied all of them, there'd be a "You just don't listen/understand!" line from some people.

Listening and even doing that which has been requested won't stop those that used to like the game, are now sick of it but don't want to admit it to themselves, and know where the forums are.

"I love the game (but I'm going to complain constantly)", seems awfully close to "I loved the game, but I'm tired of it and don't recognise the fact".

Another thing that would help would be if everyone was banned from the forums at work (including me, no exceptions). Constant access erodes the enthusiasm, and seems to add to the ennui that will inevitably arrive with anything if you are exposed to it for long enough.

Can I suggest if a Dev does turn up that we try our best to be happy, welcoming and witty? Whinging diatribes about how unfair it is being on the EU servers will not help, and will make us all look like selfish, self absorbed, pathetic children...

The Guild Wars freebie extras can only be claimed through the NCSoft Account site. They became available today, and this seems to be partly responsible for the trouble accessing accounts today.

Players are best at finding ways to exploit the system and abuse anything they are given.
If the players are given more stuff, whatever that stuff is, they will be able to exploit and abuse this stuff for short term gain. Sadly, the only way to avoid this is to GIVE THEM NOTHING.....EVER!

But I'd rather get new stuff to play with, and learn to cope with the abuse.

On a personal note, the MA has been a great bonus to me. It has reinvigorated my playing, allowed me to do things I've never even imagined I could in-game. I've made giant Moon-based Death Rays, joined the Space Marines and helped Dorothy find a her lost friends. The best missions are cinematic, in fact, they are more fun (to me) than watching superhero cinema. Sadly, the best of MA shines through only when soloing, so you have time to read all the storylines.

Nope, it's a bug that has appeared with issue 14, I'm afraid. I think, although this is my guesswork only, that it's related to the power suppression effect added for the quiet rooms in the MA buildings, and the autopower suppression that happens when you zone now.

I just got out a DVD to do this, then found I had one already for Issue 13. Close enough for me, and gratz to me for my forethought, planning and st00f!

I tried to buy it via Paypal, it borked and threw me back into the NCSoft page, so I tried again. I then had to relog into the system, to find I had 2 unclaimed "perks".


Good job I have 2 accounts.

I'm not a big fan of "clickie" mez protection. Having a tank with intermittent mez protection until 22 seems like a bad design choice.

And now, every time I get into a mission, I have to wait because I DON'T HAVE MEZ PROTECTION!

Honestly? If that's the way you see the game now, nothing I can say will change your mind. Looks like you have got sick of playing it, not just tired.

Mission selection!

You CAN select if someone's out of zone, but you sometimes CANNOT select a mission unless it is yours, it seems.

Yup, and the old standby: /bind p "beginchat /send "Channel Name" [$name:L$level $archetype] " now adds the "p" to the start of all messages.
