  1. They hired Statesman back to design the Mo badges for the Lambda and this new trial.

All we need in the next trial is a badge for all 24 league members clicking 24 separate glowies at spread out locations, within 1 second of each other.

Or a badge for all league members clicking the green butoon to start a trial, before the clock gets to 55 seconds.

I've not even bothered with MoLambda, since I hate any badge that requires me to rely on other players to not be stupid. I've always considered the badges rewards for individual effort.

    Thanks, Devs!

I've seen a few new character on Champ running around using that aura as dripping blood. Two cenobites, a monster and of some sort and blender-type robot thing.

This is even better though. I keep forgetting about the AE possibilities when new packs come out. If only the Devs let us have more than three arcs

I think the "ripped out his skeleton" misunderstanding comes from mis-reading these scenes.

Wolverine has been reduced to a single drop of blood and regenerated back into a full person from that state.

Originally, Wolverine was conceived to be a mutant Wolverine who had become mostly-human. He was going to be a human-torch style hothead braggard, with a quiet and creepy vampire sister who would balance out his wolfman character. Fortunately this never happened, though his mutation has always implied he is incredibly feral and always no more than two steps away from devolving into a subhuman monster.

The movie adamantium bullet was terrible because it meant that unless Wolverine's adamantium can regenerate, he spent the entire X-men trilogy with a vulnerable "bone only" patch on his skull, and a bullet rolling around inside it. You can be really geeky and point out that the weak spot wasn't visible in Wolverine's X-Men 1 x-rays.

I thought the costume looked like Tali as well

    Master of Lambda

You crazy man, wait until the Devs wake up and make it easier, then do it

    "I HAVE THE PATENTTTT!"

    Anywho...hmm some names:

    Maljudgement
    Exit Wound
    The Rook
    Last Rite
    The Shepard
    Postal
    Contractor
    Consequence
    Impartial
    Last Shadow ( )
    Tensile
    Marshal Court
    Adjourned
    Modus
    Ettiquette

No idea if they're taken. Just random stuff.

    Joking, joking!
  7. You should add points on the graph to show the launches of Conan, CO, STO, DCUO, Rift and (just for the lulz) APB.

That might add more context, each of those games took a section of my global friend list with it.

    Except APB of course.

  9. Personally I would love the new zone to simply be a "lightside" version of Grandville. That would save the Devs a tonne of time, just needing to re-texture and upgrade the graphics on Grandville to remake it as a Preatorian counterpart of the Primal version.

The only other place of Praetorian Earth not overwhelmed by Hamidon - a perfect, peaceful and totally naive society led by Captain Nice Fishy and White Crab, being infiltrated by evil Praetorians controlled by Emperor Cole. The tangle can be replaced by pretty Christmas lights and the gutter can be filled with chocolate rivers.

    ...I went too far

    WOW THANKS!
Sadly this probably means the new zone, stories and enemies we'll be getting in Issue 21 won't be Steampunk-based, since they would have saved the costumes/temp powers to coincide with that release.
  11. Growth powers would work fine in a controlled environment. If the mission map was designed for it and the powers were plot-based so that part of the scaling was achieved by making enemy NPCs smaller (or making them MUCH bigger and the player much smaller) it wouldn't be difficult to accomplish.

It would work in the same way that the plot-based chape changing powers in DCUO work. Not a true powerset, just some events that affect you during missions in a special arc.

The Devs are recruiting to fix PvP and bases ......

  14. Yay welcome back, other DM.

I still owe you 2 hours, but I kinda paid it forward by not asking for 2 hours from the person I bought this year

I heard the "events" were caused by Praetorians invading the wrong alternate universe. Siege and Nightstar now have your bank details

Just because Marvel has a character based on said mythological character does not mean that Marvel own full rights to it. IIRC Marvel only have a copyright on their versions appearance and concepts they've added.
Any names, locations and concepts from mythology are fair game for anyone to use. This should be reflected in the filter.
One of the top badge hunters in the game (at one point, the absolute top) was Archangel Irene. She was forced to change her name to Seraph Irene because of the Archangel name, despite the fact that Archangels have been around for, well...forever. I'm not even going ot get into how Marvel lost the copyright to the Archangel character years ago when it lapsed and they didn't renew.

Any chance the AE changes have something to do with development of a new MMO?

    New zone?!

Anyone else remember when creating a new zone was something the Devs did during their lunch hour between developing entire new ATs, storylines and enemy groups?

Still I'll be the first to cheer if those launch pads in Port Oakes, etc finally get completed and send us somewhere. Those construction workers are officially slower than the ones working on the olympic village near my house
  17. No longer possible to do it in one go either. You now need to go three times.

    Bleh.

This is going to be one of those badges where after a year the Devs realise that besides the 100 or so players who got it early while it was bugged, no one is bothering, then they'll change the requirements.

Antacid is the worst, IMO. The requirements for that badge should simply be that you do not use any acids during the battle. The idea that you need to collect all acid, zero grenades, then still win while not using any of the acids, seems plain ridiculous. I would rather the Master Badge be for zero deaths than for antacid plus the other two on three separate runs, since zero deaths would actually be *easier*.
  18. I've been on a few runs now where no one bothers with acid or turrets, but I've not seen Marauder defeated without use of grenades yet. Were you very reactive-heavy on this run or did you bring along a bunch of debuffers?

I was thinking dark/psi/nrg characters would also help for higher damage, as would pets (MM or otherwise) to prevent Mar from one-shotting key players.

    Any other insights?

I think I'm missing the good 'ol temp power solution to problems like this. Say what you want about cheating, but there's nothing quite as laugh out loud funny as dropping preposterous numbers of nukes, Shivans and HVAS on an NPC who absolutely MUST be killed for a badge.
  19. I remember you

Welcome back. Time to get GoreRax to level 50 yes?
  20. Everyone should bring along a genuine new player to blow their mind with the quantities of cash being thrown around.

I think prices this year will be at least doubled. In some cases, multiplied by 5 or more.
  21. There's some weird quality to the ITF that just makes it more fun than the other TFs. Personally I think it's the big outdoor maps, level range and reward rates.

Besides this, I used to love the Cap SF back when it could be duoed and offered a decent reward.

Finally, I have so many memories of the LRSF (good and bad) that it's got to be in the top three. Teaming with the Blackguards where they'd voice the cut scenes on vent and play music during the final battle are some of my fave CoX experiences.
  22. I don't recommend trying to run a SG with three leaders. It's the worst number.

Inevitably, one of the three leaders logs in feeling happy and enthusiastic, only to discover the other two have had a big argument, stolen half the loot each, kicked each other's friends and smashed the base to bits.
  23. A new member once joined and stole all our stuff. Ages ago though, back when the most valuable items were Hami-Os. He took about £5m worth of enhancements and everyone was angry then blame started getting tossed around.

I tracked him down, realised he was just some young kid and the conversation went something like this:

Me: Hey, so do you like superhero movies?
    Him: Yeah.
    Me: Like Spider-man?
    Him: Sure. He's cool.
Me: So like, you think Spider-man is cool, but what do you think he would say if he heard about you stealing my stuff? It's not the sort of thing he would think is good, is it? If you wanna be a good person then erm, should'nt you give that stuff back?
Him: Meh. I guess. *gives stuff back*
    Me: Thanks!

He then also gave back a bunch of stuff stolen from Elf's base too. Was kinda sweet really.
  24. Grab ReDorthy for LRSF, I think she still needs it. Think Cutlass needs it too. Even after the big Master badge weekend and Amily's other LRSF/Cuda run, there are still a few badge hunters who really need these.

I can come along for Cuda, since it's literally the only badge I still need before I20 appears. Not really had a fair shot at yet either.
