Would you ask a Brute to turn on his armors? NO!
Buff people or play a DPS toon.
Nuffsaid. -
Hitler set Eva Braun on him,
State's weakness is his schnoodle. -
MMs really do need hench customization. Preferably with NPC groups.
-
This is a superhero game!
No. More. Asian. Bullhonkey! -
My SoAs:
Huntsman/Bane: Arbiter Blood
Crab: Techno-Arachnoid
Fortunada: Ivory Fortunada
All three have amazing costumes, and the Arbiter and Fortunada have incarnate themed descriptions to match the common arbiter and fortunada menus. -
My tag:
Level 25 Healer lft. (fire/regen scrapper) -
Best brute: Stone Melee/Fire Assault/Willpower/Shield.
-
I think it's a decent choice in your late fourties, if you're out of other choices.
-
I'm sorry, but the treat of a Care Bear SG scares me too much.
-
Set needs a big overhaul. I would rather the end costs stay the same, with a boost to survivability to match, rather than a reduction in end costs.
Rock armor should be the toughest, regardless of level. -
My perfect team is usually one that uses fun mechanics, like a bunch of ice/kin corrs speed buffing for perma-blizzard, or 7 kins and a granite brute/tank, seeing if they can get him to jump/run effectively.
I've never been much for min/maxing. -
I'd say go with a scrapper, and a high damage troller.
Maybe not the most powerful duo, but alot of fun, and neither feel like a support class. -
Quote:I've seen a few using different costumes and certain powersets to mimic such things.Hey everyone. I'm posting to get help for both myself and the rest of the playerbase. In the superpower genre there are certain staple types of characters. These include things like the speedster, the cosmic and the topic of this post, the shapeshifter. Despite their consistent use in comics and films these types of characters don't always translate well to the world of video games.
The shapeshifter is a staple that's difficult to imitate largely due to the fact that they can be anyone and anything. So I'm here to get the players' opinions on which archetypes and powersets best represent the shapeshifter (Excluding Kheldians of course since they're locked to particular bits of canon).
Get creative. -
I've found, depending on what you like fighting:
Lots of easy enemies: Elec/Nin.
Few Hard enemies: DM/Nin.
Dm/Nin is has so much utility, so much damage, it's really the perfect stalker. -
I have PPD Eclipse, my Kheldian, who would fit in great.
-
Every single one of my villians, and most of my heroes are based on canon groups.
Void Hunters:
Void Tracker (DM/Elec)
Nemesis:
Colonel Hohenzohller (AR/Dark)
Sky Raiders:
General Sykes (Fire/Traps)
Gold Brickers:
Prince Lityerses (Sonic/Kin)
Arachnos:
Arbiter Blood (Bane/Huntsman)
Ivory Fateweaver (Fortunata)
TechnoArachnoid (Crabspider)
Trolls:
Altoruk (Stone/WP)
Malta:
Paradox Gold Phios (DP/Cold)
Ghosts:
Crimson Vengence (BS/Dark)
Tsoo:
Copper Scorpion (Nin/Nin)
Vazhilok:
Doctor Gangrene (Necro/Poison)
Wraith Eidolon (Claws/Ea Brute)
Skulls:
Papa Tempest (Dark/Storm)
Mummyform (with sand colored blasts and storm):
Legacy Chain:
Phoenix of Inferno (BS/Fire)
PPD:
PPD Eclipse (Trishade)

I would really suggest Dual Corruptors, because they multiply each others force, where any other combo just adds on each other.
-
Quote:This, it's non-traditional.How experienced are both of you? Are you more interested in long-term or starting off strong?
Long-term, experienced players: I'd go with Fire/Sonic Corruptors or really X/Sonic Corruptors. 2x Dispersion Bubble, put the Hula-Hoop of Doom on each other, stand near each other, get into melee, and start chucking fireballs. Sonic will keep you alive. You get massive resists and mez protection. Fire does a lot of AoE damage and Rain of Fire and Fireball both work from "melee range". Cones aren't as effective point blank. -
What someone said up above about his own personal takes got me thinking about given the backstories, what costumes would I do?
STATESMAN
POSITRON
MANTICORE
BACK ALLEY BRAWLER
CITADEL
SYNAPSE (VENGBAIT)
It's my belief that most superheroes look best with the huge skeleton. -
This.
-
Here's the whole gang, shined up in new gear for the new decade!
From left to right: States, Babs, Synapse, Manticore, Numina
Ditto: Citadel, Sister Psyche, Positron (front&back) -
I believe it's because the Red Side archetypes are technically more balanced as far as self sufficientcy, except scrappers, being OPed, period.
