Quote:My Stone/Storm rocked the house. You can get some attack power in your APP(I chose Fire for the 4-elements). The BAF is horrendously slow for xp; especially if there is a separate adds team you are not on(XP is divied by team and not league for some stupid reason). My scrappers tend to get only 6% of Jugdement per Run of the BAFStarted working on my 4th level 50 for incarnate trials with mixed unlocking results. I found that with Lambda I am unlocking Interface at 30-40% per run which I thought was awesome. Then I tried a BAF and got 7% of Judgement unlocked. How can a controller do better for unlock exp in BAF? I am a stone/storm controller. I am laying down my debuffs and using pets but as far as direct damage goes as a controller I seem pretty weak at 50 in the trials. Still trying to unlock my tier 3 alpha. Any advice?
Not having any level shift will make the trials much harder for you. Getting your Notice of the Well is a surefire way to upgrade from Uncommon to Rare Alpha(as Rare drop are--well--Rare in the trials). -
The Mindwashed Lieutenants are completely immune to all Knockback, Knockup and Knockdown effects. No amount of slotting will change that.

Quote:less than 1%.Here is my question, what do you think the % chance of a PUG made up of shifted and completely unshifted characters of various AT's has of getting EITHER of the MO badges (no acids or no 'nades) is? I would put my vote at around 5% or less. You?
BAF badges are kinda fun to try for. Lambda is a chore to try, and fails at the drop of a hat. It's not at all intuitive what not to do. It seems that even damaging one of the guards of the shipments cost you the badges. I've never seen PuG Lambda's try for any of Mo badges short of Synchronized. -
Quote:That's right. They did say new Lore trees are indeed coming pre-i21:I believe they have said that we're going to be getting new powers to slot in the currently unlocked slots before we get any new slot unlocks. I don't off hand remember where I saw them say that though. Probably in one of the recent u-stream chats.
Arachnos
Nemesis
Carnival of Shadows
(and something generic/non-faction)
There were also hints that new Judgement trees were coming(but not when). -

Powers:
I've been wanting a customizable Granite Armor for a long time. It was a troublesome power for Back Alley when customization came out, and he was looking into it before his departure. (I realize this likely doesn't fall into Sprites or Auras, I just wanted to get it out there).
Hasten and Super Speed are two powers I wish has a cleaner effect. Something like a momentary gleam when Hasten first fires, but doesn't stay around(Sort of a 'moment frozen in time').
I've never been all that fond of the "Disc of Light" we run on with. It would be freaky-awesome with a blur effect(much as Synapse has); perhaps a diminished version to cut down on the inevitable lag.
Sprint(and its various versions) still leave its 'dirt trail' on any surface, and occasionlly in flight if you fly too close to the ground with a Sprint power on. If there was a way to diminish its effect or lose the dirt trail entirely. Sprinting has never been a superpower, and i think less is more in its case.
Emotes:
Phoenix/Fire Costume change! I've love cce Evillaugh, but would love a more heroic version
I love EmperorSteele's "Pillar of Light" idea. That's a must have!
I have a few characters who have their helmets on/off for two costumes. A "reach for mask/helmet" cc emote would rock. (okay, okay, not FX, but still nifty)
Since the animal pack, I thought a "spirit animal" emote would be sweet. A ghostly animal totem appears above the character just before the costume change. -

I once had the privilege of attempting to navigate the maze of Mr. Hassenfifer, Mr. Hasselhof--, Mr Rabbit's wondrous Maze. I dare say it's gotten far more complex from the last time those years ago. Welcome to the wonders of Infinity!

Quote:...so the short answer is the devs are just lazy? I am not buying that. If every other MMO under the sun can do this I dont see what is holding back the devs.
Every other MMO is not City of Heroes. By design it is not. Raising the cap makes it a grind-fest to hit the next cap. Older content becomes obsolete and abandoned. In my personal experience folks can't wait to get to 50. Raise it to 60? It will be chewed through in a week--maybe a few days. It's an ***-load of work for something that will hardly matter in the long run. Their energy is best spent adding more worthwhile(and by this I mean fun) content.

Quote:I've wanted to make a gun-slinging two-gun since they teased us with Thug Masterminds. They awarded our patience(or lack of), with a very flashy gun-fu set. To their credit they didn't pump it up to much--it's cool without outshining the sets that came before.Like everyone else, I was excited for Dual Pistols was announced. Boy, have I lost enthusiasm. I had a DP corruptor that I deleted (and I NEVER delete toons) and I have a DP blaster that I pushed to get to 35, and he has sat ever since.
It's not that I think it is a terrible set, but I just wonder why I would play him. Animation is slow (flashy, but slow). I don't feel like I do all that damage (could just be me, I am not backing it up with numbers), but comparing my DP to so many other sets, it seems that I am underpowered.
So what are the reasons that you have enjoyed DP? Help me see the light!
I entered into DP knowing I wasn't going to do as much damage. Bullets do Lethal damage--a highly resisted damage type(granted in a game of 'bulletproof' heroes). To mitigate this, they created Swap Ammo to add different types to your arsenal. Still, most of your damage is still lethal, and Aim was a casualty of this new mechanic--less damage already. (However, all DP attacks are base 1.10 accuracy--I can devote more slots to damage and less to accuracy.)
Knowing less damage, I make a Natural Origin Blaster. "Non-super" from the start, I felt awesome being a regular dude who worked there way into the big leagues. I've always been a fan of the 'under-hero'; the dude with a bow or rifle who you think has little business fighting alongside Captain Crunchy's Muscles of Doom™ or Iron Dude's Nuke of Incalculable Destruction™. Yet just by being the guy who steps up anyway. The one who is there to take that critical shot while the enemy hammer away on the 'worthier' heroes. The one who makes all the difference just by being that one extra guy who is in the fight.
(and investing in as many pool powers for Defense and slotting IO's for it doesn't hurt either)

I'm still waiting for the ability to flashback to Mayhem/Safeguard missions.

Quote:I gave up on AE a long time ago. You never know when any random English word was copyrighted and would invalidate your arc.I'm guessing it's supposed to be Nightmare
That, and farmers one-starring my arc for "terrible farm, lol"
I make arcs for a good story, and that seems to not be what AE is used for. -

I just logged in, and discovered I have "Lucky" and "The Constant". No 'splasher' for either.

Quote:I often take Acrobatic on my characters who do not have Mez Protection. It's the only Pool power to grant Hold Protection. I slot heavily for Mez Resistance, and Acrobatics offers a good chunk for Hold resistance as well as the Protection.First off, I take this power on almost all of my characters. I like the hold and knockback protection. Second, I have never really got into IO Set slotting (I play very casually - but am starting to play more again).
I recently looked at a build for Rad/Rad Defender that was recommended in a guide and the build did not include Acrobatics.
That got me thinking, do most of you take this power? Or do you rely on status resistance from set bonuses?
Am I correct that status protection keeps the status effect from happening, while resistance reduces the time of the effect? If you do not have hold protection on a Rad/Rad, wont a hold being applied to you drop all of your toggles? -
Quote:While I sometimes find tips in TFs, it's very rare. When I do it's only every one.Shouldn't matter -- you can still receive Tips from TFs and Trials (I got some today, as a matter of fact).
Lambda and BAF; I have never found tips during those.
AE? To my knowledge no tips will drop there; as it is only designed to drop tickets. Dev's Choice might, but only if set to drop normal rewards.
