Incarnate trials and the Controller

Started working on my 4th level 50 for incarnate trials with mixed unlocking results. I found that with Lambda I am unlocking Interface at 30-40% per run which I thought was awesome. Then I tried a BAF and got 7% of Judgement unlocked. How can a controller do better for unlock exp in BAF? I am a stone/storm controller. I am laying down my debuffs and using pets but as far as direct damage goes as a controller I seem pretty weak at 50 in the trials. Still trying to unlock my tier 3 alpha. Any advice?

It has been my experience that the BAF xp is much slower to acquire, troller or not, than the Lambda. Especially when the leader of the League decides he wants one team to handle the spawns while the other two teams deal with the AV's and I usually am on an AV team.

And all the efforts of your team will help generate XP so it doesn't matter whether you are a troller or not, as long as your team is actively taking out the mobs.

My Stone/Storm rocked the house. You can get some attack power in your APP(I chose Fire for the 4-elements). The BAF is horrendously slow for xp; especially if there is a separate adds team you are not on(XP is divied by team and not league for some stupid reason). My scrappers tend to get only 6% of Jugdement per Run of the BAF

Not having any level shift will make the trials much harder for you. Getting your Notice of the Well is a surefire way to upgrade from Uncommon to Rare Alpha(as Rare drop are--well--Rare in the trials).

One way to speed BAF exp if the group is willing to is to take a couple of run throughs on the AVs, rather than dropping them quickly. I had been getting slow exp on BAFs and thought I needed at least two more to unlock, then had a 'bad' run where we had to kill Nightstar and Siege twice, it made the trial that much longer, but more than doubled the exp. Now I wouldn't recommend this unless everyone knew it was the plan, but dragging out the kills can really add the unlock exp. It is a bit counter intuitive that you get more if you don't do as well, but that is the way it works.

In theory - you could get quite a lot of xp from a baf if you delay finishing off the avs in each stage. In practice unless you state your intention to form an XP run it isn't likely going to happen spontaniously. On one such XP run, one team (mine) got enough to finish off the last 25% of my judgment and the first 30% of lore. We didn't end up finishing the trial successfully, but it was well worth it IMO.

I would guess that this might be your problem in BAF. The experience is split out based on the damage your team does to mobs, so if one team gets put on adds in the last stage that team will rake in the experience and the AV teams will get very little. A good way to get around this is to send two people from each team to work on the adds (a high damage type and a control type from each team can usually handle them without much trouble) so that it's split fairly well across the league. I play an earth/rad troller myself and had no trouble getting xp from BAF as long as the teams were given 'fair' assignments.
