Slow Resistance
IIRC Ice Armor has 100% slow resistance right off the bat. It negates slows completely
Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind seeing ice stalkers. I think that could be pretty sweet, even if they don't tweak it much.

It works like resistance/or more similarly, defense debuff resistance in that 100% would negate it.
There's a few defensive powersets that include powers that grant 20% or 40% slow resistance. By adding a Winter's Gift Unique and a few PVP sets, it would be possible to get 100% slow resistance.
Would this be like 100% damage resistance (where the effect is completely negated), or 100% status effect resistance (where the effect is halved)? Mids' doesn't show one, but is there a cap on slow resistance, and if so, does anyone know what it is? |
I'm sure not of the cap on it, but if it matches DDR it's 95%

Ice needs the Winter's Gift to get to 100%, at least I've always thought that it does on my Ice tank. Now I'm going to have to look.

As far as I know it's 100% as in no matter how many damn caltrops those Artemis chicks scatter I can move across them as if they aren't even there. Slows simply don't affect me at all. I think that resist also applies to recharge slows, so that nothing makes my attacks come back more slowly.
In the powers display it displays 100% in a teal color. Not sure if that indicates the cap or not.
Yeah I think it does. My fire/fire scrapper's fire resist is a diff color since I am capped.

If the number shows up as blue it means it is at the hard cap.
The only exception to that is hit points in your combat attributes window, it turns blue when you are at full health, but that isn't necessarily the hard cap for that AT. (though it does indicate you are at the current cap of your personal HP)

I don't know. Sounds pretty boring to me. Unless the ice is on a ramp when it starts melting, then they'd have something to chase.

I've used Ageless Destiny to cap debuff resists. Slow is 100%, DDR, ToHitDR are 95%.
The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.

I keep thinking about getting rid of Permafrost but I like having the slow resist. But I have never taken EA into account. I could possibly take Permafrost out then and still keep my 100% as long as I'm hitting EA and I keep Winter's gift. I may have to do some thinking...
