  1. Nope. Considering he has badges that are now impossible to get, I can't imagine ever rerolling him.

Sure, enemies in DA will drop threads and incarnate XP. Also, incarnate components upon story arc completion.

No. The solo option will be slower than the team option. This is by design.

    GOOD CoH Writing

I really liked Johnny Sonata's arc "Devil May Care", especially Johnny's dialogue after you finish his last mission.

Bankrupt governments tend to do a poor job of providing welfare.

And speaking of tangents, I think Lulipop is on drugs.
  7. What side do you pick more than others?

    Blue

What play style do you prefer?

Whatever deals the most damage in the least time.

What power set(s) do you favor?

I have a special place in my heart for Shield Defense.

What zones do you like the most?

FF for the scenery, RWZ for the convenience.

Do you usually play as a male or female (word of hatred) ''toon''?

    Both.

    Views on Role Playing?

    Not in my backyard.

    Servers?

    Tights!

David, thank you for taking the time to solicit ideas from the playerbase.

In terms of tights, I'd be happy with anything that I can color white and not have it resemble bodypaint. That goes for all the 'tights with skin' patterns as well.
  10. I used a few Membranes on some builds, but this change doesn't royally screw me over, nor does it make me want to play my SD characters less. This situation feels much like the BotZ nerf; we'll change our builds and move on with our lives.

I think The Letter Writer's antagonistic attitude towards Ouroboros, noted here:

    Quote:
When the time is right, I will make myself known. You will either be at my side, tearing down the enclave or you will be buried under its ruins as it falls into the sea.
...effectively rules out that it's the big blue guy standing in Ouroboros.

    Also:

    Quote:
Again, be cautious of those you speak to about this; the Menders are aware of my existence, but not my time or location and they would not take kindly to you associating with me.
    ..and:

I say this to you because I hope, when the time comes, you will aid me against Ouroboros and the Coming Storm.

  15. Shield Defense/Shield Defense

Somehow I'd finagle in enough +Rech to get a Shield Charge->Shield Charge->Shield Charge->Shield Charge attack chain.

  17. My main character and my forum namesake is the character I've logged more hours on than any other. I don't play him as much these days, due to being fully T4'd and having a build I'm happy with, but he's like a nice suit: I bring him out for special occasions.

The problem with the developers giving even the vaguest hints of their long range plans is that people will latch onto their comments and hold them as immutable truths. When those plans inevitably change to face the realities of development, the forums become thoroughly inimical to rational thought.

This has happened multiple times in the past and the lesson is always the same: giving out no information is always better than giving out information that is not 100% accurate, because the playerbase can and will nail the developers to the wall when the uncertainties manifest into ugly truths.
  19. Any webcomic thread should mention MS Paint Adventures. In truth, only the first page of the first adventure was done in MS Paint (everything since has been done in Photoshop or Flash). The current story, Homestuck, is over 4,000 pages long with a word count rapidly approaching that of War and Peace. Although there's no nudity there is a fair amount of swearing, violence, and Con-Air references.

It gets lauded in these forums, left and right, as one of the most fun TFs in the game, irrespective of any rewards that may come with it, but I just don't get it. I found it to be a boring slogfest with everyone on the team dying over and over on nearly every mission. You might say, well, that team didn't know what it was doing, but my contention is that there should never be game content that is fun only after you've done it enough times to have mastered it (a common criticism I have towards the iTrials as well, btw). Because a lot of us will never bother with tedious content after the first time through it.
Sounds like it was just a terrible team with terrible players.

  22. I hate that threads like this continue to pop up, with the same people saying the same things over and over again without any new arguments, attempting to create the impression that their opinions are more widely held than they actually are.
