Ok, since Test is down this gives me the opportunity to reflect on my limited experiences.
Power Customization: Awesome. Defied all my expectations with the breadth of options. The new Spines are clinically ill. Being able to turn off power effects for various toggles is very nice. We can all bid a fond farewell to pink pom-poms of doom. RWZ raids are gonna be sicknasty (in a good way).
New Difficulty Options: Unbelievably stupendous, grandiose and in all other respects incredible. Running 8-man missions solo is so incomparably outstanding I'm going to need to consult a thesaurus to replenish my badly depleted repertoire of superlatives. -
Another great guide. Also, your avatar, I approve. I lent that game to my brother and never got it back.

Quote:Absolutely right. And if there weren't enough complaints about 'market manipulators' (LOL), hoo boy, there'll be coming out of the woodwork when they can't get cheap items from the legitimate markets and balk at the prices (no caps) black marketeers charge. He means it would move to a black market (no caps) meaning trade between players outside of the normal WW/BM channels not The Black Market (with caps) the physical market in game for villians. If you have a price cap on the market then for any item where the natural sale price (i.e. the price it is now with no cap) is higher than the cap then the supply of them on the market will almost instantly drop. This is because there will be significantly more people willing to pay that price for them than there are items available. So for any player wanting to actually purchase one of these items they have the option of placing a capped bid on the market and waiting in line with large numbers of other users in the hope that someone will eventually list one or purchasing it off market (on the "black market" [no caps]). Purchasing on the black market will generally result in paying a higher price since it's harder to get competing bids.

Quote:Purple prices will go down after I16 is released. Trust me.how about raising the cap on infamy/influence, since it is capped at 2 billion, reason ---we have several purple sets that cost over 1 billion and when you are trying to fully purple out a character you would have to keep asking for help to transferr or logg in another account, my suggestion is to raise cap to 10 billion,i know it may sound like alot but to the die-hard gamers most would understand i hope, what do you all think???

I can think of a few bad ones.
"AFK cops at door"
"Ever been to a Turkish prison?"
"Hey $target! What's the opposite of Christopher Walken? Christopher Reeves!" -
That sounds like an excellent idea and I wholeheartedly approve.

"Hey Posi!"
"*sigh* Yes BaBs?"
"You're in the beta, right?"
"Can't tell you."
"Aww, c'mon! Can you at least tell if power customization WORKS?"
"Guess we'll see in open beta, won't we?"
"Don't give me that crap! I spent more than a year keeping it quiet! I want to know it came out right!"
"Dude, chill. We patched twice this week. Open beta should start soon."
"Damnit... Hey Castle! What's up buddy?"
"Rule #1 of Closed Beta: do not talk about Closed Beta."
"But I-"
"RULE #2 OF CLOSED BETA: DO NOT TALK ABOUT CLOSED BETA."
"Awwwww... Hey pohsyb! How's life?"
"LALALA IN MY BOX CAN'T HEAR YOU."
"Now I'm wishing I really had quit." -

Quote:Tier 9 Godmode powers are frowned upon, I believe. The standard RWZ challenge involves a single character taking on a RWZ spawn that has at least 3 bosses and is +4 (so that usually means level 54 baddies). These are the basic RWZ challenge rules (sorry if I missed some):
-No inspirations allowed
-No temp. powers allowed
-No click accolades (auto accolades are fine)
-All aggro must be on the player at all times.
-Spawn must contain three (3) boss level critters
-Spawn must be +4 (so that means level 54)
There is some debate about corner pulls, but I think they're fine. Also, I described the RWZ challenge most people brag about. However, you can make it harder or easier on yourself at will. For example, you could fight a +3 spawn, you could pull or you could even do it next to a Pylon (for a crazy challenge).
Someone please correct me if I missed anything. -

My first was Requiem, from the To Save A Thousand Worlds arc, on my DM/SD. Beat him the same day that toon hit 50.

I would chalk it up to luck.

Silas, any plans to cover Storm Summoning?

Fantastic guide. I mean it. I've avoided playing support toons for the entire time I've been subscribed, but you just might convince me to roll one.

I took on Infernal last night with my DM/SD. I died the first time, but on the second attempt I managed to separate him from the rest of his minions and took him down. Also took on Shadowhunter, who was a chore. I tried Nightstar, but hoo boy, that's gonna take some doing.

Only recently have I gotten into the AV soloing game with my DM/SD, but building that character and exploring the upper echelons of Scrapper capabilities has been quite a journey. The knowledge provided here has been invaluable and I still visit these forums from time to time just to bask in the accumulated knowledge.
My hat's off to the Scrapper community for keeping things interesting. -
