Quote:maybe if mr. fantastic, lexx luthor, tony stark, batman, Forge, cable, The Watcher, Apocolypse, and Mr sinister all came to paragon studio then maybe it could.I vaguely recall hearing somewhere that some old old MMO (older than CoH) once had its game engine replaced with something newer.
I mean, could that not happen here? Replace the old Cryptic engine with... what, a Paragon Engine? Something that could be backwards compatible with the old content, but allow for much easier and more powerful upgrades, changes and additions.
I have no idea how possible or feasible something like that could even be, though. -
lol yeah id almost forgotten that one. the age of way to easy to get soft cap def for all. Id never even touched those IO sets at the time and still dont really ever go for set def, more a global recharge guy myself. Now if they ever nerf LOTG 7.5 specials down to like 5% there will be hell to pay I tell you HELL!

Quote:To be fair ED was a cataclysm. It drove many away for a long time. Most I know in game are first year players, and most admit to breaking for as much as 2 years after ED.It's funny but way back when Enhancement Diversification (ED) was happening to this game I predicted eventually there would come a time when there would be plenty of players who wouldn't even know what it was let alone care about what the game was like -before- it happened. I suppose posts like these prove my point.
For some people ED was a truly apocalyptic event and many people were absolutely convinced it would ruin the game and/or cause the game to fail within months. Obviously since it happened over 6 years ago now none of the predictions of failure came true. While it's true a number of people did effectively rage-quit over it it certainly didn't spell the overall doom to the game all the naysayers assumed would happen.
ED was basically a "change" to the game that in a perfect world really should have been firmly in place when the game launched back in 2004. The game pre-ED was essentially broken because it allowed a degree of min/maxing that in hindsight would have actually prevented things like IOs and the Incarnate system from being added to the game in the future. Despite everyone's whining (and all puns aside) ED was actually a "good" thing for the overall health of this game.
It did help lead to a better age however. I love IOs and crafting and its largely a direct result of paragon studios efforts to bring back some of that super feeling lost to us in ED.
So although I do agree ED in the end became a good thing, at the time and how it was done( jack promising no major changes would come with COV and pvp,a nd ED was largely done to try and bring balance to ATs in pvp) lead to probably the worst blow to coh rep we ever had.
Ofcourse that major hit to our rep left with crypticso now we can go to CO forums and laugh at them all day long

Quote:Um techncially you are describing champions online, however if you go check it out you likely will see that although in theory it sounds better then our older game, it really isnt.Stuff I want in a super hero MMO, that just aren't feasible outside of a sequel:
-Total graphics overhaul to characters and environments. Fingers. Detail in faces. Non-static hair. We really can't do them without re-doing every animation in the game. If it comes down to that, you may as well be starting over. Same with ditching the old costume pieces and zone models.
-Destruction and environmental interaction. I want to punch people through walls. I want to rip a lamppost out of the ground and swing it at some one. I want collateral damage you'd expect from a super powered battle. I WANT TO THROW A CAR.
To do it right and not half-***, you'd have to redo every zone and map in the game, so again you may as well be starting over.
-A more flexible power and AT system. Deadpool, Ironman. You can't do characters like that who mix ranged and melee attacks. Even gadget guys like Batman, you're limited to their hand to hand capabilities only for the most part. Could be solved with Pool/Epic powers, if they were rolled them together and the devs created more of them and they were treated more like a Tertiary power set. But that's not likely from what I've seen.
-An extensive revamp to enemies AI and mission design. More elaborate missions that can be approached by a variety of play styles.
You get a mission that someone had been kidnapped and is being held in a warehouse.
Now:
You go to the mission door, click it. You enter into an instance of a stark warehouse map by the front door, all the enemies are standing around in neat little groups waiting for you to engage them one on one. The Boss is standing in the last room. The hostage stands there while you grind the boss down and then you lead the hostage out. End mission.
BORING.
What I'd rather see as an approach:
You go to the warehouse, gain entry via an unguarded skylight. Inside you sneak through the vents, making your way to the security room. You quietly take out the thug watching the security cameras and disable the alarms. From the security monitors you find out where the hostage is being kept. Then you make your way through the warehouse, avoiding detection or taking out anyone before they can alert others to your presence. You get to the boss, catch him unawares and fight them and the free the hostage.
Or, you could do the exact same mission with another approach:
You go to the warehouse and crash through the wall. Immediately the enemies start to swarm you amid alarms going off. You cut your way through the crowd and topple some machinery to block more from arriving. You free the hostage but the boss is trying to make a run for it in a delivery van. You block his exit, grab and flip the van onto it's roof and pull him out.
Now likely neither of those can be realized in an online MMO yet, but they should be what the devs aim for. The kind of complex and thrilling action you find in comics.
Guys standing around in static warehouses, waiting to be systematically defeated while you navigate a static maze of corridors (with occasional ambush) never screamed 'super hero action' to me. Neither do the current Trials, which are more like nonsensical dances; a series of hoops you must jump through to receive food pellets.
.
And some hopes like maybe one day pool powers being made more interesting and flexible to let us make more diverse concepts could happen. a pistol pool a sword pool etc could all hapen one day. and its clear with the other revamps to travel power pools we have had they are looking at those things and not just AT sets. -
Seriously? I dont see any real need for coh2 atm simply becuase we are murdering the rivals. CO is a poor wasteland of a joke. DCU has a very small niche fanbase that may last but I doubt it. Also NC Soft as our company is still working on GW2 atm so even though I dont think its a direct thing I doubt a company wants to dump funds into to many development projects atm.
Not to mention a good chunk of the cox pop I think is here because of our history here and all we have put into it. a full on new game rarely means any major data transfer and I dont exactly think many want a fresh start in a revamped paragon. so much as a fresh paragon for a revamped game. -
Lets see for me Hollows has and always will remain an ignore it zone. Once upon a time in the old days, its size made pretty much anything but a kheldian with inherent travel powers a major pITA to be there. And the arcs really to me are not anything that couldnt be found in any other more integrated region of the city. Maybe if they added a full under world caverns map connecting all of paragon with all routes intersecting in the hollows, making it an interesting travel hub for sub world characters i could get behind it more.
Faultline, bar none has been the best revamp of any part of first year COH to date imo. Zone, story,NPCs, and the tie in the new posi tf all made for a great early immersion in lore for all future new players.
striga. Loved it since day one and still do today. It fits perfectly with coh lore, is pretty much a major story zone for kheldians, and has the best end boss fight tf in classic comic book villain style ever. Yes I mean the battle on top of a giant death bot inside a hidden volcanoe lair. I mean seriously how great is that.
Croatoa. Good zone. I enjoyed it alot when it first came out though I rarely run through it all the way anymore. Any useful temps from it I flashback for regular though. Useful for more magical origin characters looking for an alternative to mu based occult magic lore.
I am really stoked by atlas parks visual revamp and curious to see what the rumored dark astoria changes will be like. -
Quote:I maybe misread your post here, but if your soloing on a defender you should be using an offender build, and those rarely have trouble soloing GMs let alone normal content. Perhaps look into the defender forums for builds designed to function like mage tanks. I honestly feel they are probably the single most effective solo AT in the game. the things I have seen them do oh my oh my. You want a real Hal Jordan class green lantern build it is definatly in the defender at sets. though maybe also consider ruptors. nice with blaster primary, and def primes as 2ndaries. Really borderline OP when you think about it.Regarding First Ward:
I loved the look and feel of it, and enjoyed the story arcs. The now-familiar ambushes, NO. But most everything else. Also, as a zone, it has great feel, and is as empty as Boomtown. Bummer. And as good as it is, it strikes me as more solo-type content, both from the writing/arcs and the lack of others to team with. Now that I've done it once, I'll probably not do it again because in our fast-fast content world, it's kind of a pain to get there.
I don't care about merits/rewards, so that aspect didn't affect me. I really, really liked the stories. But I play defenders on x0+0, and I had a hard time there, so I most likely won't be going back.
--NT -
I dont think I am being leetist or anything when I say story based content is mainly directed towards we who enjoy RP even if its only lightly. I am not saying it shouldnt have any meaning or be fun for others, just that when content is created with the story being the drive the dev team imo shouldnt have to be stressing over the reward per minute wowtard mentality which largely has no meaning here.
Why? because IF you want to focus on that type of play here you simply roll up a very specific farm build and go solo farm +4/8 man content whenever your itching for wealth.
Otherwise you play for.....FUN. Yep thats right. Fun as in enjoying the game for the mere sake of playing it is why you play coh each and every time.
So what do I think of First Ward?
Well from my handle you may guess Ive had a long time affinity for doc Vahz. My main TF leader on virtue is Demetrios Vasilikos, a character who in concept is a paragon protector with a DNA memory core made from a sample of doc vahz. The idea is the bodies advanced regeneration restored the mind to a pre madness state, and he is now much like a free doctor jekyll now driven to stop mr hyde.
So imagine how I felt meeting my alternate dimensional self, who though seemingly as monstrous as our worlds as the ghoul king( we have known this since GR so I hope that isnt a real spoiler by now), who is rather quite noble and honorble imo.
I wont get deeper into the story for fear of spoilers, but needless to say I had a very rich RP experiance there and my friends in the group as you can imagine found lots of fun ways to take it in thier view points. And more so I can go back via flashback even solo and re experiance a certain amount of the same satisfaction.
When I want merits I run TFs in a timely yet still fun for all fashion, when I want fun I play the game however I want to play it. I however dont want devs to have to worry so much on reward per time ratio for every new bit of content to the point it turns this game into a stale math based game like DDO has become. -
Quote:No, Corruptors are the perfect AT. Defender primaries as their secondary, and damage primaries. 'Nuff said.Quote:I find Brutes and Scrappers to generally be a bit too frail for me to really enjoy them.
Be it blanker,Offender, corr, or the many other sets that mix ranged dps with the ability to control mobs will always give a certain potential for things few melee builds can. -
Quote:I love how you assume its the other being ignorant. KB powers can bring an immense amount of helpt to a group. If a group scatters I just switch to hard hitting single target fire to gun them down in a blink. If you want to hit the big group first then be there first. People wrongly call it scrapperlock when its actually called WHo Is the better killer. dont expect others to hold back so you can get your perfect shot every time. That is no better a sense of team play then a leeroy.Ignorance is only an excuse once. Soon enough anyone with a lick of skill and intelligence will try to get the Energy Blaster to stop that, although they may not be entirely polite about it, that's what happens when knockback aggravates some people. Either way there ARE idiots who ignore the sentiment of the team after being informed about their knockback, and keep it up anyways. I don't like those people.
Being a good team player is about you adapting to whoever you have along, not asking them to hold back so you can feel more special.
When I need a good dosed drain psyche I dont go hey guys wait till I get a juicy mob on me. I run in to the heart of the mob without thought hitting DP and then my mix of pbaoe and targeted aoe then pick off stragglers. Rarely does the rest of the team even have a chance to attack the mob.
My only question to the blaster scattering mobs is why didnt the first shot wipe at least half of them out? -
I am not made of Glass, nor iron or stone. Even steel is to soft to feel upon my blasters skin. No I am made of Impervium and as hard as they come, is no sin. No little cannon am I to be lead around, fired off then left stuck in the muddy ground. No I am the real Tank armored and armed with mighty big guns, now out of my way lest you slow down my fun. Flee as fast as you like as I take my toll. What is it that you do they ask. I blast because thats how I roll.
-
also one needs to keep in mind this isnt marvel for example here any meta is rather loved by the general masses as a potential good guy in the making until they screw up. Even then cox sadly does like marvel seem to preach the oh if you have powers you always get another free pass to be good again like white queen or sabretooth has had one to many times.
one just cant even begin to strap on real world drama style views of the world when it comes to coxverse. -
Quote:your very out of the loop then about this little bit of cox lore called the secret identity act which protects ones rights to remain secret even if registering. However the original concept of a vigilante in coh was a unregistered super, one could now days infer anyone playing as a vigilante isnt even on the register.Given that superheroes in Paragon are all licensed and registered with the city, nobody, as I understand it, has a secret identity, at least according to the game lore.
Ofcourse some of us in the know are aware of how its really done, with that mind witch of the tyrant state using her power to keep tabs on all of earth at once. only those heroic souls at crey have the defense and plan to save the world from the grasp of meta scum. -
personally I feel its better if not every style of skin shares among all weapon types, helps keep some feeling abit special in thier own way.
After all there where no titan weapons existing when the fangs of ruluruu where fashioned into weapons
Staves I am hoping more for martial arts/magic ones mainly myself and maybe elemental themed as well. -
way way bad idea. Incarnate powers are already immense. Many who are not even worthy of them are attaining them far to often. Yes IMO if you cant solo trapdoor easily then you dont need to be an incarnate. Sorry but its a small standard. outside of the handful of incarnate trials the power is just over kill anyways and F2P accounts cant even access them at 50 so wanting even more power for being one seems way needy.
You should already be feeling so powerful from your build alone that when you first start on the path to incarnate it only feels like it has finally acknowledged what was already a fact that had waited to be recognized.
Those who have taken the path without being ready are shallow creatures similar to the tyrant state and his lackies. The path to true Power is not something that should be quick and easy. -
You dont sound very well versed in COX lore to be making suggestions like this I am sorry to say. For starters Jack the ripper predates the founding of the midnighters. Also He was over in england, and the midnighters are an american based organization.
I get what your saying, its always cool to have some special names to hunt but in COX most of those are tyoically big game as well as big name. -
Quote:And thats why we who Lore RP choose to do so. We want to give some of these unsung characters floating around in the lore more depth while also adding to the depth of the game. For example on my vet account( not the one I am posting from atmMender Silos.
Anyway, I always thought Bentley needed more story, too.) I have a character named T'Keron Valmaz. He is actually my oldest toon and only one left from my first year characters. When ever he runs certain TFs or content where you encounter infernal it gives me a bit of a chance to drop some banter with an npc and many times I get tells from members of the team afterwards saying how much more interactive I made the game feel.
If you have never tried to RP on virtue I encourage you to come check it out, we are not all cyber pervs in furry outfits( most of the time) And if you enjoy the coxverse then take some time to find a good lore concept, many will react positive to it.
Some other frineds I know who run LRP characters portray:
The Oracle from the itf
Cole Marcus plucked from time moments before drinking from the well.
Ghost Richter a vengeful spirit of stephen richter from praetoria.
Doctor duncan Silver aka Doctor Darkvine: ******* son of darkvine the fallen midnighter, and similar to my berkeley is seen as a hostage in a low lvl arc. -
well for the most part praetoria is just a new starting zone, so your older character though he can go there and explore( portal is in pocket D) and do some of thier outdoor events etc it wont give u alot. You need to start a new character in praetoria to get the most out of it by exploring the very well rendered new zones, and pretty well written story arcs with enough multiple paths it had most going alt crazy when it first launched.
btw gl on that MM i see alot get shelved in thier early 40s for some reason. -
Quote:yes that is what is called lrp or lore based role play. there are ofcourse rules in the EULA about using characters meant to imitate admin or devs, so one of the main things to keep in mind is if the npc name your considering is connected with a dev icon. For example one name I was warned by admin not to use was James Temblor SR. I had wanted to RP an alternate dimensional version of the original faultline. However James Temblor is just to closely tied with faultline an active DEV to be allowed. You actually claim that your character is the NPC from various missions? Is that a common practice?
Bentley Berkeley was a concept I fell in love with, because he is seen a few times in some of the oldest most interesting story arcs, has the interesting and fun to RP aspect of being one of the few called an IMMORTAL in cox lore while not being all powerful. Also being one of the original names found on the Midnight clubs charter all work to make him have alot of easy ins to approach him for casual RP.
i am far from alone and have encounterred enough over the years Id say feeling fairly safe that at least a 1000 players on virtue have adopted this style of RP. I run a number of them, 2 Lore SGs the Circle of Thorns(red side) and Crey GLobal Enterprises blue side. And know a number of others in various SGs including other crey based ones. Although I do have the toon count alphonse crey and rp a very different twist on crey and thier goals and function in the scheme of things.
Many also tend to adopt a practice of using a secret idtenty name so to speak while leveling if its a concept they feel being less then 50 wouldnt accuratly portray, or by taking the name are given the added challenge of having to level up that character rather quickly with no alt breaks to avoid a certain amount of mockery. Exceptions are typically alts of the same concept like secret identity alts or just exploring variants on equally appropriate power sets.
It can be alot of fun pouring through cox lore on Pwiki to find a name and concept that appeals to you enough to want to find a way to make a character out of it.
One of my earliest is the name I use here on the forums. The concept of demetrios Vasilikos is not exactly what some expect. He isnt meant to be Doc Vahz in disguise for example nor him from an alternate earth like the newly seen one in praetoria during the arcs there( though its increased my own toons recognition a fair bit funny enough))
No Demetry is an advance paragon protector made by Crey. After failing to capture doc vahz or his research they took a somewhat different route and used samples of his blood aquired during a failed attempt to capture him to make a DNA memory core. They placed this into thier latest and most advanced paragon protector clone slug to date. The body developed incredible regenerative properties almost immediatly, and within days the mind fully developed and restored to a pre madness state lacking the chemical imbalances that lead to the original's own fall to insanity.
Its pretty much like managing to steal jekyll out of hyde and give him his own super powers.
those are just a few of my own lore based concepts but there are many more out there.
For example a friend of mine when time manip and beam rifle came out felt inspired enough to create a character named Simon R. Leeds meant to be an alternate version of one of our greatest villains from his youth who had in his dimension discovered Ourobros like tech almost immediatly and went on a very different direction in life more like the oh so popular doctr who.
Ill give you a clue his name is an anagram for the villainsSometimes lore based RPers become a character sometimes we just use it as inspiration to create a totally new one of our own. the main goal is to just be as much a part of the world we play in as possible so when we encounter each other it makes for a smoother melding of rp ideas. Thanks to alternate dimensions, clones, and time travel even when you have the occasional encounter with another ""you "" so to speak there are a number of ways to use it to just further a fun random rp encounter.

Greetings my fellow blasters. I am from virtue where I bear the beastly burden of blasting away as Bentley berkeley, a lore based RP character of the magic origin using the psi/ment/force mastery sets.
Ive been an off and on player since year one, and played nearly every blaster combo prior to the release of psi ment at least into the upper 30s, many pre IOs which admittedly may effect my views compared to other more IOd up variations of those old comboes.
I say this so when I say each blaster, maybe more so then any other AT, is a unique individual who will succeed, falter, or fail based on the player and how they play and that alone.
I also have to mention that though imo anyone who tries to play a blaster using anothers build as posted on the forums will never be truly effective with a blaster.
Blasters can be just as diverse as any other AT if made and played right. My own blaster has frequently recieved tells in the middle of action from some of the best brutes, tanks, and scrappers ive ever seen on the server saying such compliments as Wow you outtank me. How do you outtank me, How do you manage to endure so mcuh aggro, how do you self heal so effectively without the heal pool. And frankly many others beyond count. I have taken other psi ments under my wing who I first met hearing them say how gimp thier combo was, and after running with me was desperate to learn my art with the powers.
Some sets are focussed heavily on dmg and imo that is why so many then end up feeling inferior. THere are caps in this game, and they exist for good reason. This is why when someone building a blaster focusses so heavily on the DMG aspect they end up feeling so weak end game.
Every AT is better when you take them out of the box and push beyond thier pre defined roles. THis is one of the biggest strengths of COX over other MMO. I also feel to many use builds that are only VIABLE at lvl 50 with perfect IOs. That is a major flaw also imo. If you need to tweek a build while leveling up or even major overhaul at 50 that is no sin nor shameful in the least. However when you do your respec you should be keeping exemping in mind and be ready to replay certain milestones of content at various level ranges to re test your new build IMO. A build that often seems flawless at 50 can be filled with many hidden ones or be alot less optimal end game then people actually think. A build that can tear through all content 1-50 is alot less likely to feel any real threat even at 50+.
Not to say my own blaster CANT die, its a very active playstyle build and if I lag, lose focus, or just am playing sloppy he drops in effectivness equally and that is infact one of the fun things about his playstyle. If I am not bringing my A game niether is my build.
So blasters find those blaster sets that are right for YOU and YOU ALONE! Experiment with them, ALL OF THEM, until you can really taste thier potential and power and decide for yourself. Do not let forum builds or fotm trends influence you even though they can be beneficial to study for observational purposes.
remember being a BLASTER is not just ranged DPS its about ending the threat of the enemy with all your tools. Blapping was something I once aspired to until I relized that made me just half a blaster. Now I am a real tank. I take a beating and deal dmg from afar or run right over the little guys in my way. thats right the real tank is a blaster or as i call them Point Blankers.
Dont hide behind a guy with a sword take on your foes POINT BLANK. No I dont have a character by that name on virtue but if there is one i want to murder him and assume that identityexcept i love being bentley berkeley and dont need to make another blaster after him
-
Dear OP if you truly are a member of the COX community then you should be familiar with the long standing tradition of the thread for each server where people put up names they have let go so others may use them. Although no hard rule exist, for nearly as long as this game has been around its been seen as good form to let go of that which you no longer wish to be known as.
Your tone at first seemed to paint you as one who cared about the game and its players, but over the course of several posts has not done well for your own image, and players are right to speak of requesting a ban against you here on these forums as your goals seem to be quite contrary to the nature of COX's community which even recently on a popular web series that looks at older MMOs going FTP, gained this game very high praise with such comments as a friendly, helpful, and SELFLESS community not hung up on the owning one upmanship so common in other MMOs.
If behavior like yours is allowed to become widespread then soon the long and beloved community attitude of putting up names they have lost interest in for others to pick up will dry up as thieves steal them to resale.
To That End I must ask my fellow heroic and villainous forumites to stand with me and start a /signed against using the forums to post SALES of character names. We have a long established tradition that fills this need and now its endanger of being exploited by those lacking in good gamemanship(sportsmanship for gamers) ethics. Please DEVs be our heroes now when we need you!

Im probably going to come off like a real prik but I am just going to try and be honest.
Being from virtue I am all to used to the concept vs functionality arguments. And in my defense when I run TFs which is everyday when I play, I am not picky about any ATs....except the kheldians. Warshades I tend to be more open about because with little effort or costs they can spec to be tp stealthers at very low lvls. Be assured if your a shade on virtue and asked to join a tf it is expected you can fully stealth by lvl 14. If you cant your a piker shade.
The reason/problem is simple a good blaster can out dps and out tank either form at the same time. A good tank can to. And if a scrapper recruits you its only because of your utility potential.
and then there is the whole human form thing. A well made human form is power beyond the ken of mortal men. You meet alot who try to recreate the function and form of the icon that is the man of steel. Most use tanks or brutes, occasionally scrappers but imo all fail to live up to his standard.
Now a peace bringer in human form with the right pools, and IO sets with a team to further buff him. Now that is superman in this game.
Just food for thought when considering a kheldian. If your going to be in a team do you want to be subpar dmg and subpar tank at your whim, or a Power beyong all others. -
funny thing is I only feel SJ is superior to MA and SS for one AT and that is stalker where the set just feels like it was done right compared to many other stalker conversions of powers.
I infact think a SJ/ninjitsu stalker was exactly what they where mainly focussing on when they designed the set.
my old MA/shield scrapper I cant see as at all inferior to some of the new SJ/shields ive worked with, infact the only one of my melee characters using the old sets that does feel abit obsolete is my MA/ninja stalker, but my SS brute and my brothers SS tank both feel far to mighty to even begin thinking about recreating them as SJs for some small flavor change.
Sorry op but I think your just abit to in the thrall of FOTM new and shiny still. 2 or 3 years from now SJ will be just another melee set unless they do go with the its a pay for power set so it should be better style, we can only wait and see. -
Recently during abit of random RP with a fellow older virtue RPer I found out that apparently a Setting to disable seeing other players characters names floating above thier head is abit of a secret and was suggested by said other player to start a thread here to help spread the knowledge
The setting allows you to disable seeing other players names flaoting above thier heads except for when you mouse over them. This adds a huge amount of immerssion to the game.
For example when hanging out in an area like AP I dont see a few dozen blue names I just see people. some cald in tights and some not. It really adds another level of RP when in civvie clothes and hanging out in a place like pocket D as well. I find it helps make me more inclined to ask for a name and introduce myself in greeting. It alss makes it feel I guess the world would be more comfortable adopting the use of whatever name they give when i dont see another contrary name floating above thier heads.
The fact is I wish the setting was more like a toggle where it didnt just make it so I dont see everyone elses but wish it disabled mine to others as well so I wasnt automatically exposed.
Anyways I am not trying to say everyone should HAVE to play like this, just suggesting that those who enjoy RP and feeling more IN the world we play on. -
For my toons it would have to be my psi/ment/force blaster. His build is hard to breakdown the why of it working as I have shared it with no few friends over the years but all have found it hard to still do what I do with it.
I dont fear going in solo in pretty much anything. No mob type scares me or possess tricks I cant counter. About the only thing that can get me killed in a +4X8 is if I am actually in a team and thus play intentionally sloppy just to let the rest feel useful.
With the further advantage of having multiple incarnate powers to switch between as needed I can go against control heavy foes while running clarion or switch to something abit more fun like ageless to also make sure no sapper alive can burn through that and a big mob fueled drain pscyhe.
I really dont think there is a one AT or power combo to rule them all. Some comboes are abit sub par but the list of those is far shorter then the list of truly effective builds.
BTW one thing i never saw anyone really bring up here was doing exemp play. To me a true do it all build can do exemped content to. I love for example on my psi ment going and doing the old posi tf via flashback solo set for between 6-8 men typically. Thats a tf so hard so many couldnt get it done that they had to make the new one.
