And it *IS* a bogus claim and it did NOT come from the devs. The devs simply pointed out what would be involved in the full set of turn/strafe/etc movements. Naysayers then take this and claim it can't be done any other way, completely ignoring the existence of the flypose emotes.

Stop walking, transition back to ready
Times 3 for each body type: male, female, and huge
Times 6 for the various 'modes' to both cover the different hand/arm positions and to properly transition back into the appropriate 'ready' stance when you stop walking: Ready, Combat Ready, Weapon Ready, Dual Ready (used by katana and archery as well), 'Shotgun' Ready, and Shield Ready
15-90 animations needed to do a 'walk button'. (Or 105 if we wanted to accomodate the two-handed club stance as well.)

Therefore, based on available info I would assume Red Skeleton is a new Dev Red Name who has only posted in the Closed Beta portion of the forums and probably was given a red name because he either worked on a) Power Customization b) the new Difficulty system or c) the new Server Queue function.
My money is on B. Possibly A. -

Foamy: you have the On My Goddess listings all wrong:
First, the series is up to vol 32
Second, the volumes with titles are no longer in print, just the smaller unflopped, untitled volumes
Third, the "titled" volumes also have a Volume 19/20 Sora Unchained -
Really? Because even in the games (such as JRPGs) where you can toggle whether the default speed is run or walk, I ALWAYS make sure the default is run and NEVER hit the button that toggles/slows you down to walk speed. In the majority of analog stick games I always go full speed run, unless there's a time where I will NEED to, such as thinh walkways/balance beams.
It may be a right, but it's something that's not really necessary. -

We DON'T need the ability to strafe, turn or go backwards.
We DON'T need to transition to power animations.
The flypose emote is just that, an EMOTE. If you turn, strafe, activate a power, whatever, it interrupts the emote. Walking could work the same way and it would be entirely sufficient.
And it's not a bogus claim if it came from the devs themselves. -

Like galaidiman said, BAB also mentioned that they they ould also have to set-up transition animations for each and every power animation in the game and do it for all 3 body skeletons. And that would take a lot of work for something that most people won't use.
So while strafing, turning, and backwards walking is a part of the reason we probably won't see a walking animation added, the transition to power animations a bigger reason why. -

I coulda swore I saw freedom and virtue grey on saturday night...
Regardless, I admit I didn't play as much as I usually do Double XP weekend, but that was partially due to being in a closed beta for a game (no, not Aion) that I was really digging. Did manage to get from 29 to 33 on my Energy Energy Blaster tho. -

1) they at first made it where the changed animation was generated client-side and would cycle through/change whenever you started moving after coming to a stop/hit back. But not everyone would see the same animation

The emotes were pretty much a compromise because they didn't have the time to implement the tech needed to make a permanent change to what pose/animation you used and everyone could see it. The animation customization sure sounds like it would be the tech needed. Assuming based on known info anyway.
Whether it will be applied to pool powers or how long after launch of power/animation customization is unknown at this time. -
My bad. I assumed mostly because we were talking Carnies and I figured by "ghosts" I figured you meant the fact that the rising blue stuff coming out of them upon defeat looks like a face (that looks like it's screaming).

I used photobucket for mine (tho mine is still the 80x80 from the old board restrictions) and had no problems at all. Even inculded the http:// part. I copy and pasted the direct link, put it in the correct field and viola.

I saw once where my avatar didn't show after I made a post, clicked on control panel to try to re-add it and saw the pic was still there. Then when I hit back to go back to the thread it was there.

Yeah. the Justice and Sinister costume pieces should be in the costume creator. You can either hunt for them in the drop gown menus or just click on the big bar at the top of the screen and select Justice or Sinister from the drop down menu.
Pieces should be in:
Chest (Tight, Baggy, Armored)
Shoulders
Gloves (1st drop down. 2 kinds regular and with pads/plate)
Pants (Tight, Baggy, Armored)
Boots (1st drop down, 2 kinds regular and with pads/plate) -
Huzzah for bronze color on th Mystic Fortune temp powers. will make it easier for quick check on teammates buff bar!
