**snorts** You quoted a post that was not aimed at you nor mentioned you in any way. You might want to edit that.

Quote:Nah, I just don't see significant amounts here. And it's usually by people I'd probably not want to play with, anyway. And when I saw his list of "political problems", I wouldn't call any of that politics anyway. People having preferences and such, even to the point of "whiny entitlement" isn't politics at all, unless you stretch the word until it's near-meaningless. "Here's what we've got going...want in?" isn't political in the least. They're either in or they're out. Anything more you have to allow to happen.
Hyperstrike labels:
Ah! An idealist!
I hear you're crunchy and great with ketchup!
Politics is kinda like an STD. You can make an effort to avoid them, but they're gunning for you all the same. -
Quote:Eh, a group this size, you're bound to run into a Puritan or two.
Hyperstrike wants more inclusion:
What's with the mealy-mouthed PC "almost" here?

I'm digging the new Posi quite a bit (did it three times in the last couple of days), but I hadn't taken a shot at the new story arcs yet.
The pretty and shiny is good, even if I can only use it to take pictures or run back demos (I can't play with UM on with my weak computer).
Enjoy the new sounds.
The other stuff is good, too, but is more convenient rather than "OH YEAH!" to me. -

The reputation system is the 2nd dumbest thing I've seen the mods do here on the boards in the last 2 years.Quote:LiquidX adds on:
You should have been here when he had the equally idiotic "Star" system. -
On my main from I6, I have 30 left, but I tend to spend them like they're about to become valueless.

Warkupo has an easy one:
I think the better question is likely what is Lady Ga Ga's secret identity?
I have to admire the woman's PR work, though. Her music is pretty bland, standard pop. None of us would have ever heard of her if she didn't have a loopy name and dress weird. -
Eh, all I interpret it as is a CYA move. Anything beyond that is speculation with no basis.
-
Heh, if we use a broad enough definition of "pervert", I'd bet we could include almost everyone.
-
I don't know when exactly they shut them down, but I certainly remember checking them at least as late as I7. Beyond that, probably, too, but I don't specifically remember.

Bah, you are so Rule 34ed! What if server merging gets someone all HAWT, huh? Huh?
And, yeah, GG, I'm not sure which particular kink you're talking about, but I'm definitely a perv to many. -
Quote:There's only "politics" involved if you allow it.
EvilRyu twitches:
Its not as easy as you make it out to be. There is so much politics involved with it that most of the time I just dont bother.
Quote:Being the leader is such a headache because of that. For the most part the only teams I will form will be TF/SF teams because then I dont have to worry about filling the slot for that person that just left that said "SG calling" but dont have a SG to begin with.
BTW, you do know what that "SG call" really means, right? It means...I want to keep playing, just not with this &^$%# team. -
As the others said, it can be fun or a nightmare, depending on who you're hooking up with. Best to start out just bashing friends and move up to the more structured Arena "leagues" after you get the hang of it. But, you'll find that your powers work a WHOLE lot different in PvP than PvE (dumbest thing the devs ever did), so you might want to read up on some of those differences at some time or another.

I think Fusion was looking for "yes/no" without any details, and got that answer so now is "don't tell me more".

I had the same movement problems and removing ATI's hotkey poller did nothing for me. However, using that as a clue, I found that my keyboard had another hotkey program attached called Microsoft Intellitype, which allows you to custom-make hotkeys on your keyboard. Once I deleted that (couldn't find a way to temporarily disable it, so I just dumped it entirely), it's been smooth sailing. Definitely something going on conflicting with keyboards.
EDIT: **looks up** OK, guess it wasn't just me. -
Didn't they kind of become useless anyway, once people stopped all the street hunting? I was under the impression that they did not record what happened in instances. Was I mistaken?
I'd like to have them come back with more useful information, more like a help file than a contest of sorts. -
Quote:I believe the article states what they think it means, but I also believe their logic is very far in error.
Kheldarn doubts veracity:
I don't believe a word of that article. -
Awwwww, who's a cute little skull-faced, dark-miasma, black and red-suited vengeance killer? You are, that who!

Quote:Doh! I totally misread what you wrote and thought you were talking about the Posi pack.
IanTheM1 needs to get me coffee:
One of the new I17 recipes is for a temporary jetpack. Not exactly that useful compared to the Vendor, since it's a drop, but you might be able to get it for a bit cheaper. -
Quote:I blame Boxxy.
PC_guy wants to know:
why do people think this is a good idea?
Plus I prefer dry-rub BBQ myself... -
Quote:No, it's an actual temp power, not a temp power recipe. Only temp power recipes can be sold. You can't sell these.
Kryhavoc thinks wrong:
There is also a Jetpack temp power that dops now, as well. When the market goes back up, there may be some available to bid on, as well. -
Quote:I'd never just use an anti-virus alone, anyway. One should also have stuff like Spybot, Ad-Aware and MalBytes.
AwesomusPrime notes:
If you're using 64 bit windows you will not get a virus. What you are worried about is spyware/malware and anything purporting itself to be an anti-virus doesn't necessarily watch for those. Believe me, one of my jobs is doing virus removals at a major PC retailer and most of the time the person whose machine I'm working on has AVG on it, and is riddled with malware.
Very few actual virus' work in the 64 bit environment, almost all malware does. Make sure whatever you settle on has a decent malware component. Last I looked into it, antivir and MSE came up on tops for malware, with antivir being preferred.
I use MSE. The others have paid versions. You're not going to give away what someone will pay you for. I don't trust the free version of anything that has a paid version to give me 100%. Similar arguments could be made for MSE I know, but at the end of the day I'm still not paying for protections.
Also MSE cannot be easily turned off as it kind of... integrates with windows. That means I won't forget to turn it back on. -
