So I'm in Sharkhead Isle doing these mish'es for Dean MacArthur. I end up doing the "Steal the Jewels and bring out Ajax" mish. Well, as I was in the mish, I saw my other double. They ran out of the mish as I was chasing them..lol. Now I am doing a mish called "Track Down Your Clone".

I can guess this is one of the new story arcs that was added for i17. I have to say seeing my Doppelganer was kind of spooky. So, for those of you who have done this mish, will I eventually have to fight my double? If so, that's going to be weird stuff...but hopefully lots of fun..

Reading the information posted on these boards, including the patch notes, can be incredibly helpful.

Well, so is having surprises too
Like some people like to go to a movie totally spoiled, and other like to go spoiler free - it just depends which way of doing it you enjoy the most, and which gives you the most entertainment - which is kinda the point of movies and games

Nope. I don't want to know what happens. I will make an effort not to read this thread until I can finish that story arc which will probably be soon. I was basically making a comment on the fact I was not aware of there being a "clone" mish. Yes, I do try and read all the boards but sometimes I cannot find the time so a quick post usually does the trick.

Two words: MULTIPLE ENDINGS.

Dear god.

Yeah, I thought the same thing while playing them, I think they're a preview of how some of the moral slider missions are going to go myself.

Yes. I don't consider it 2 new arcs on each side. I consider it 1 new arc with 2 contacts.

@Fusion...

W/out a spoiler alert, all I can say is "I don't know..."
But the thought of two of you running around is kinda freaky if you ask me.
*best on your arc

-cheers.

You know, several people were complaining about Kelly Uqua's arc in another thread. Never having played it, I turned to paragonwiki. It seems to me like this arc might've been an early experiment - it seems to have two slightly different endings to the arc, depending on success or 'failure' in the last mission...

World Wide Red, from Crimson, was the only one in the beginning. You either succeeded or you didn't completely succeed. This game has come a loooong way.

The difference is that in order to do branching in the past, the content writers had to ask the coders to bake it into the coding each time it happened.

Now, the coders have created the tools where the content writers can created branching without having to get the programmers involved. Then can now branch many things depending a many variables (your PC's gender, their AT, what badges they have, previous choices made in a mission, etc...).

I wonder if we'll get branching options in the MA at some point, too. Could make for some interesting storytelling mechanics.

Not that anyone plays the MA anymore for purposes other than farming, but it's nice to pretend.
