I got curious and looked it up. January 17th, 2006. I guess NOT "way before I joined". More like less than a month.

Yup! Had a few issues at first, but overall the OpenGL thing seems to have worked wonders for my underpowered machine.

True enough, although sometimes good stuff can be found. At least it's not in prose, so you don't have to read page upon page of how wonderful their character is (sadly, you do run into this a little).
Plus, y'know, Stephenie Meyer has made millions of dollars writing just god-awful Mary Sue fanfic, so never overestimate the taste of the populous.

I think about the longest I've let characters sit is about a year, as I usually do a sweeping log-in for anniversary badges. -

I ran the cape arc with a lvl 50 the other day and got a lvl 49 Accuracy TO as a reward when it was finished. Hooray! I just need two more so I can combine them and have it be green
By the way, at lvl 50, a lvl 49 TO gives you a 9% boost to accuracy. I think I'm going to slot Brawl with it.

I assume he's talking about the one you purchase with real money from the game. I could be wrong, though. Maybe the one you buy in Shadow Shard, though. I haven't seen that one, just heard about it.

I haven't seen anything anywhere about this.
Did non-combat veteran pets always do emotes when idle? I don't remember them doing so, but I never had them out very much except for my MA-only character whose mom requires it.
Past few days I've been playing him, I've noticed my clockwork doing "sit", "waiting" "juggleelectricity" and cycling through the three poses from the main character screens.
Is this new or am I just that unobservant? -

I've noticed two very odd things since I17 launched. First, is that enabling any of the ultra mode settings causes my connection to suffer. Turning on stencil shadows or water reflections increases my ping substantially and leads to increased lag spikes and rubberbanding.

Different timers, I believe, but I think all the "Jetpacks" (craftable, Shadow Shard purchased, Day Job and Posi) are the same as Raptor Pack.

The OP may have missed the "return home" portal due to the fact that it doesn't seem to appear until you get pretty close to it. Also it's been exhibiting some buggy behavior lately, mostly with repeating its animation and sound effects. -
Kings Row is for 5-10. Just watch your aggro and you'll be fine. Ron will have an icon showing where he is. If it's not there, go to your contacts list and click on him and he'll show.

I don't hoard much. Mostly just move it on through the market if I can't use it. Most of my characters' vaults are empty, and the ones that have anything there have some expensive orange salvage pieces I saved after getting drops for use later rather than having to buy them. Unless you're really going for "UBAR" stuff, influence is cheap and so are market prices by comparison.
