Quote:None. For example, what benefits, enhancements, etc. do I get for picking Science, Mutation, Magic, Technology, Natural?
Really. Origin is irrelevant for about 95% of gameplay. The only thing it changes is which stores you can get your DO/SO enhancements from and some of the text in dialogues.
Also, you get a really crappy "origin power." -

I still looked exactly the same as every other member of my class.Quote:Yeah, that's one of the things that drives me nuts in other games. You finally get a look you want - and you have to change it in a level or two because, well, the armor's no longer any good, or you finally have a weapon that'll do more than tickle whatever you're fighting...

Hope, few people seem to realize that it is possible to mix set IOs with commons in a power. Even fewer know that you can mix several sets together.

Quote:According to Paragonwiki, you are incorrect.Dechs,
Last I checked, they do not self-cap.
Although there is the possibility that they will 'fix' that in the future.

It is possible that Pwiki got this wrong, but I'm going to go with "not bloody likely, unless it's actually a bug and the SBEs are not WAI."
EDIT: This is from the paragon market in game:
Quote:The Eradication: +Accuracy/+Damage/+Recharge/+Endurance Enhancement is a RARE Enhancement designed for PBAoE Damage Powers. The effective level range is for Level 10 to 30 characters. This enhancement will scale with the user from Level 10 to 30. Once purchased, please log into the game with your PBAoE Damage character and "claim" it through the in-game email system. A part of a set, 5 of 6. -
Shameless self plug: What you really want is an MFing Warshade.

I know that's what you're thinking. As mentioned earlier, The MFing Warshade is not a build or even a certain play style. It is a state of mind. It is one that embraces the jack-of-all-trades nature of the beast and makes the most of it. It is one that never stops and never fears. It is one that can fit any role and sometimes all of them. It is one that, in its prime, causes the team to pause for a moment of reverence and think to themselves, "Wow, that is one MFing warshade."
At its height, The MFing Warshade will have 300% damage bonus, 85% resist all, well over 50% tohit bonus, three damage dealing pets in tow, a ranged AoE attack chain, and the ability to refill both bars more often than I blink. It can also perma stun ten targets, perma hold one, and even stun bosses in a single shot. It has mez protection with an 80% hitpoints bonus on demand. It can even shrug off defeat twice every five minutes. -
Quote:The optimal solution in my mind would be to have it a choice to the SG leader. So yeah, I'd consider totally nuking the currently existing bases a deal breaker for me. I'd love to see a way for others to take a more active hand in bases or to introduce more options, but not at the expense of all the people who have done this since bases were introduced.
"Would you like to upgrade this base to the new code? Just a warning, if you do, it gon' get nuked."
The problem is, that's likely an infeasible solution. This is either a whole hog overhaul or leave it alone. -
My blog has a guide for this kind of thing, and my bots/traps build.

Yes, please make the incarnate content even more trivial for my MM.

As it stands, you could split the set into two powers and get that recharge twice. 20% if they follow purple size for superior.

In my opinion, only beast and demon attacks are worth taking. All the others are basically inefficient uses of endurance. More info in my guide.

Kheldians may still have some issues, but survival is not one of them.
Regardless of your suggestion, you need to provide some evidence to show what problem it solves. I don't see the problem. -
Well this will save all my DA characters some time.
Sweet. -
Quote:That boy needs an MFing education.Yeah, I tend to run missions with my BF, and he always says "heal yourself" or "you're gonna die!" when I'm surrounded and dropping health fast (he's just 3 feet away - he can get quite loud about it...)
I don't think he realizes I'm just setting myself up to use Stygian Return for the invulnerabilty bonus. I also don't think he realizes his blaster's knockbacks don't really do much for me when I'm setting up an eclipse and mire. -
Even store bought erads should stop leveling at 30.

I'm still a big fan of Dark Armor, and especially on Stalkers.
From my guide:
Quote:Originally Posted by Supermassive Black HoleWhen you put Dark Armor on a Stalker, it becomes a special brand of awesome, but I need to back up and explain because a whole mess of things change for this archetype.
First, and perhaps obviously, you lose Death Shroud for Hide. Cloak of Darkness is also replaced by an auto power called Shadow Dweller. It still boosts defense, although not as much, but it's great for not having an endurance cost. Remember that you'll be stacking Hide as well. The last big change is how the control auras work; they will suppress while you are hidden. Until you take action to break hide, they will do nothing but consume endurance and immediately apply their effects once you do.
The control auras are what shine so well on a Stalker. In my experience, Stalkers have more trouble with a slew of minions than they do one really tough boss. The control auras allow you to ignore the minions and focus on the bosses in a group. Assassination Strike has particularly good synergy with Cloak of Fear because of the terrorize and to-hit debuff that affects an area around your assassination target. -
Yeah, I really don't want to lose my base.
I'm fine with rare base love if that's the price for keeping my base.
