Quote:Naturally, but I've got a French global friend now, and I have a Canadian friend who will correct anything funky I say.Careful with that. The language french people speak in MMOs is a mangled mess of textspeak, broken english and, yes, sometimes a little bit of french thrown in for good measure.
-
J'ai visité les serveurs français! I'm gonna hang out on the French servers until I know enough French to type confidently without Google Translate. Haha.
-
I can change those, too, if that does sound better. :P I'm not capable of rephrasing the last translation you posted to make use of it, though (seeing as how I'm not even 100% certain about what's being said here, haha).

Well, you can disable Incarnate Abilities by using the "disable Epic powers" option.

I believe it acts as two separate chances for 2-mag stun when domination is active. If I'm right, that means there's a 43.75% chance of at least a 2-mag stun being applied to a given enemy, and there's a 6.25% chance of the stun being 4-mag.
Psychic Scream only does 28.43 damage per animation second, while Psychic Shockwave does 35.86. That aspect is about all I care about in my attacks, since I usually have enough attacks and recharge rate to never miss a beat. -

It is indeed on Beta. I'm sure we'll like it, whatever it is! Big patches mean big changes or additions. :P
I should quit editing every single post I make 4+ times. -
It'd be a really wise move if the developers made a few temp powers and auto-granted them to all characters on the test servers: a power that grants XP, a power that grants shards, a power that grants influence, etc. It seems like it'd be relatively effective to develop it internally as a booster pack, since those are given to all accounts on Test/Beta already. Additionally, post a complete change log for the beta testers. A few changes like this would significantly increase the quality of short-term testing, which is all you'll get from most volunteers.

Yup, no mistake here. I like it MUCH better than scrolling through an endless list of conversion possibilities.
-
So, um, it doesn't give you a pop-up to select what you want it to convert into? Have you not even tried it?
-
It's probably because they messed with prohibited mode flags in the patch--they supposedly enabled temp travel powers. So you should be able to use your Raptor Pack in the trials instead.
-
Both of the chatterboxes have to die and despawn for that mission to fail, though. :P

What Star_Darke said. I tried claiming 350m inf. from an email when I had over 1.7 billion and it disappeared from the email, then it made that dialog pop up on every market or email transaction I tried to make until I bid a few hundred million on something. I even tried logging out and back in on various characters in the interim, but in the end, I had to make room for the thing I tried to claim, and then it worked fine.

Quote:It used a second thread for graphics rendering a long time ago, didn't it?If you noticed the CPU bump post i20 its probably because the game now utilizes "multicore" systems, so if you have a dual/quad/hex core processor the game can tap into them now.
I have a dualcore and noticed the spike in cpu usage right away after launching i20 coh, I kinda wish I could turn it off, my computer is 5+ years old, and after a few hours of playing will sometimes die(turn itself off with no error) now. I'm not the best with processor&ram info, but the high cpu seems to cause coh's ram usage to rise too, making me run with less things open to prevent pcdeath lately lol. /unloadgfx used to help sometimes, but now I try it so often my ram use goes down 5-10% when I hit enter, then climbs right back to where it was as it re-renders everything in view.
However, CoH doesn't make any attempt, as far as I can tell, to throttle CPU usage. As such, it should always appear as using most of your CPU when in the foreground. I kinda wish they would put a Kernel Sleep() in the game loops so I could see how little of the CPU it actually uses, myself. -
I personally would go Radial for any Judgement power. Pretty much all Core Judgement powers do the same damage, including a 20% chance for about 37% more damage. With the exception of Pyronic's extra damage, the only difference between the Core ones is the location or max targets, and none of the Core ones have any cool secondary effects.

I agree with most of the posts here. Collapse memorized recipes, rearrange the salvage tabs, name/describe powers/recipes/effects more consistently, make SG bases co-op, make status protection clickies usable while mezzed, fix lag, make the LFG system and search actually useful, fix the incredibly annoying useful salvage deletion prompt, eliminate need to be in the same zone to start a trial, spread out the Powers window, and move unwanted contacts to the inactive tab.
If City of Heroes is updated to allow some sort of build importing for respecs/leveling up, I'll see to it personally that Mids' will be able to generate these exports. :P (It would be so awesome if I could paste in my build when I first make a character, and then my powers and slots would automatically be selected whenever I hit the trainer.)
Fix the detailed power info for some powers and tweak it for others. A lot of the time, you see things like "15% defense to fire" and "15% defense to lethal" and the same thing for each effect type. These could be grouped, although this is a more minor complaint than the fact that some powers just don't show any info at all, or show incorrect/incomplete info (for example, Tough when used by a Mastermind).
Allow us to zoom in and out more. Zoom in more on the map, zoom out more both on the map and with respect to your character. I often find myself wanting to see a much larger portion of the area I'm playing in, like an RTS...
Like with so many other prompts that I haven't seen in forever... *cough*... add the option to hide the prompt that appears every time I attempt to exit a co-op zone on my rogue/vigilante characters.
Fix tab targeting. Fix click targeting. Fix clicking hero zone door people. Fix what seems to be uniquely my issue where holding some movement key will cause the game to think my cursor is an extra two hundred pixels in the direction of attempted movement.
Don't hide the chat window during loading and cutscenes. You know what people like to do when they're waiting for something to load? Anything but stare at a loading screen. It also sucks getting a tell and knowing that you can't reply to it for some time, or getting cut off in the middle of typing a message. -
I love it even more when clicking selects something behind me. Or, for that matter, when clicking while holding down a movement key acts like my cursor is a couple hundred pixels away from where it is.

Quote:Actually, it's moreso "shouldn't be disabled" assuming Mids' has the proper ModesProhibited flags set on all its temporary powers, and if it is set right, my list should be quite accurate.IT's "shouldn't" in the sense of he was guessing rather than making a judgment

Jaunt Initializer is a teleport. (See also: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/jaunt )

I'm not seeing a Phase Shift temp power in my list.

Quote:Temporary powers that most likely shouldn't be disabled in Incarnate trials:Some temp powers gained through missions are available during iTrials.
I only know about teh ones which I have. IDK about all of them
Alignment powers
Analyst's Teleporter
Recovery Increase day job
Dimensional Grounding Ray
Power of Black Scorpion/Captain Mako/Ghost Widow/Scirocco/the Hamidon/the Thorn
Ouroboros Portals
Winter Event debt protection
Safeguard/Mayhem Mission success temps (not raided/confiscated powers)
Nictus Transformation
5th Column Uniform
Midnight Visage
Pseudo-Item-of-Power temps
Booster-purchased temporary powers
LKT-1700 Rocket Pack
Sky Raider Flight Pack
Stealth Suit
Web Grenade
Stun Grenade
Jaunt Initializer
...That said, I for one appreciate that the devs split most temporary powers off from, especially, travel temps. It feels good being able to use my Ninja Run in the trials since I basically paid for it. :P -
Quote:You're right, Agge, that is pretty funny. (Say hello to the Titan Network programmers! http://www.cohtitan.com/about) But yeah, the devs are just low on programmer power. Producers think it's more worth it to keep them working on new content rather than the hundreds of fixes and improvements they could be making.Do you program at all? If you did, maybe, just maybe, you would be able to understand the most basic principle I was describing.

Okay, so how about the line I didn't attempt to translate? :P
* "Craft * components" will assume that you intend to earn the given type component the hard way. The Items Remaining list will include the crafting requirements rather than treating the component as a basic unit, even when it is possible to obtain the component directly (as with Notice of the Well).
