EM is the way to get kills easily in RV, the others find it much harder, true -
About slotting:
I would add a couple of rech at least to radiant aura.
Fire cages far too slotted, you will want it mainly to create quick containment, and its base duration and recharge is very good. 2 acc and save the rest of the slots (maybe add 1 endrdx if you spare slots).
Hot feet, if possible, 3 endrdx 3 dmg.
Take off 2 slots from mutation, 1 recharge is pretty good already.
Lingering Rad is not autohit. Any reason why you haven't slotted for acc there? 2 acc 3 rech (+1 endrdx if spare slots).
Guess 1 endrdx in stamina was a typo.
I'd add at least 1 more acc in imps now that they have been nerfed. Actually mine are 3 acc 3 dmg, although it's for pvp reasons mainly.
EM Pulse (and this is a really personal preference) I'd go for 2 acc 2 rech 2 hold. 1 acc seems pretty untrusworthy for an aoe hold.
About powers:
I'd try to fit hasten in much earlier. Prolly at 16, switching places with mutation.
Choking cloud seems unworthy on a troller for me . Demands too much end (trying to combine it with hot feet and debuffs is a nightmare) and its hold is... weak in the best of cases.
I'd either go for primal (conserve power and power boost for heals and debuffs) or fire (extra damage) epics. But never for ice ones on a fire/rad
Anyway, my 2 cents -
Bear in mind that ff defenders numbers are higher that anything /ff, either MMs or trollers. I have been said dispersion bubble cant go beyond the base 9.25% def buffs, but can be slotted in case you got def debuffs on (which would be only worth for pvp purposes, and even then...). My builder seems to counter it, but as you said, builders aren't always trustworth. Still, it should add above 35% def with all 4 def buffs stacking if my builder is right (21.84% melee and ranged from deflection and insulation fields+9.25% from dispersion and 4.875 from maneuvres). Add roughly 5% more in case dispersion could be buffed beyond base and you will be really close to the 45% (which could be achieved with grant invis)
About the mag protection of dispersion bubble, I can tell you that my troller needs 4 troller holds to be affected (I've got acro too, which may, or may not add one more hold needed to the base, never tried without acro to find out).
Having tried the combo repulsion field/force bubble, if you have both at a time and acrob and ss you will be losing end even when not attacking (that is, repulsion and force with 3 endrdx each, and ss and acrob with one each), and the repel effect added won't be noticeable (force bubble range is far wider than repusion's one). About it being worth or not for pve, i guess that depends on personal opinion. I did skip it, but it's really a must if you plan to pvp -

Repulsion is not needed at all, and one force bubble is all you need to keep bosses away. But keep in mind that all the repelled foes will be attracted by the repeller. -

Yup, it's correct, sorry if I didn't explain properly.
ET deals more damage than TF, it has a much quicker animation and needs, roughly, half the end that TF does (so it will need less end without endrdx than tf with 2 of them, as you said you meant to slot it. So, 10 is really little demanding within the context imho. -
Not really necessary for an inv I guess, as you will also find it hard to find time to heal yourself in battle since invul is dmg resist based, not def. Anyway, you should be ok without it, with dull pain and unstoppable as a panic button (and tough).
ET doesn't really need endred imo, its end cost is minimal, to make up for the hp drain. Nevertheless I agree with you, TF is an end hog. -

If it was the Thermal and the Kin, there was no heavy involved, on this occassion.And your Ice Tank only gets one-shotted because of Forge and Melt Armour. We usually charge in before the heavies are even with us. Thermals eat Tanks for breakfast.

Yup I know I had forge and melt armour on when you two attacked me, but I didn't mean only that occasion. I have been 1 shot repeteadly many times by a brute's heavy, or a MM's after I had killed all his pets. Thermal debuffs will surely make it easier for the heavy to land the shot, butwithout them it will still 1shot.
For the OP, monday night is test night, you will be missing many potential people organising another pvp contest the same night. Great to see new offers are sent out tho -

Lol, errm let me make clear that by 'butt-whoopings' he is not meaning anything +18. And yes I suppose that not so many people is used to fighting vs /ff as vs /rad, which is an advantage. But fire/rad is very good too, mainly for duels.

PvP, not as practical as MMs there, but much more fun

Bs/Sr for zones or BS/Regen for arena. DA sucks at PvP, never pick it for those purposes

Which is better, in duels depends mainly on what you are fighting against. For team pvp I'd deffo recommend /ff, but both are really good for duels
If that can help, I can use my fire/ff vs some toon of you sometime, so you can check what it's good and weak at -

I also got one myself, but very rarely do i pop over RV with it. Really hard to be killed, but also really hard to get kills due to it's lethal dmg component. Having tried an EM afterwards spines gets quickly unshined. On one hand, poor dmg, much resisted, slow animations, only one attack with mez, and it's only immob... on the other hand, great damage, less resisted, quick animations and mez on every hit. -
Spines stalkers really can't cope. I started mine back when they were the only ones that could hurt stormies, bubblers and ice tanks/trollers, to make up for the lack of damage. Now that debuffs don't interrupt hide anymore, I can't really find a reason why a nerfed impale and low dmg unmez attacks would be a better option than uber energy dmg with mez on every attack.
I would never consider playing a /sr without aid self tho -
Hehe cheers for the thoughts guys. Yeah I agree on picking up the shield is a must. Actually, that's the main reason why I posted the build. Haven't tried the build in PvP yet, and will dom cutting thru acro is good news, in fact I had taken scramble thoughts for that purpose just in case, to be tried on test. I will try both builds when I'm back, one with tactics and the other with concealment, but about the recharge of the chain I have found no trouble in PvE, I always seemed to have a couple of attacks up. Snipes I don't like for duels unless on my fire blaster, but that's only cos of boost range+bu+aim+concealment+DoT, that enables you to play the sniper way.
Anyway, thx for your time guys, I'll soon be trying the toon vs u lot and see how it's going -

Well I only go there for the grind. If I'm on a squishy and a occasional stalker comes around and attacks me (once every fortnight) I just switch players to my ice tank or my spiney scrapper and after a few kills he is gone, so I can keep on grinding again. Never seen much PvP there in months, as everybody takes for granted it's a grinding zone.
Anyway I can't consider it a PvP zone with so so many NPCs around and when people can just throw you a heavy that can 1 shot you while he stays in a safe distance -
