For What it's worth, I tried Control Core Embodiment on my Gravity dominator and his singularity had both the Control! and Waylay! effects fire.

FYI - I'm about 90% positive that Absorb inherits a player's resistance. Its basically a second set of HP that you lose before your main HP total, and your resistance affects it as well - I can test this with the defender ATO2 Proc on beta later.

Quote:I angrily glare at anyone who brings a +2 or lower to anything after UGT (only time I did this the league leader tried to queue lambda and we got TPN - we gave it a shot for iXP and we got the mid-trial reward). And I glare at anyone who brings a +0 to ANYTHING and they have anything past alpha unlocked.Today, I was accused of having something stuck in my back side because I said that level shifts were preferred for the Magisterium.
I understand not everything is available at all times, but honestly, people could at least understand that WE WANT TO SUCCEED. Bringing lower level characters is asking for problems on a trial like the Magisterium. Then again, I've been told I have something of an attitude problem myself, so I'm probably not the right person to defend your position, Ukase. -

Quote:Here's my problem with most of the Level/Incarnate shifts - we aren't actually moving forward. No, it did not meet your expectations, and apparently the OPs and GuyPerfect's. Are you representative of "a lot of" players? How do you know? Perhaps people I play with just don't talk about it, but I don't find your expectations to be something I hear mentioned by others in game, which leads me to question that assertion.
These shifted enemies give EXACTLY the same rewards as a regular 54, yet they get a few purple patch levels over us to extend the fight while we get an extra 2 levels that ONLY work while fighting enemies that have various buffs designed to make them more like Elite Bosses than bosses (Like ISF Commanders and their massive debuff resistance and damage resistance to everything, and the DUST mobs with massive +Accuracy to ensure splash damage).
Our Shifts make the first three trials fairly trivial (Though my non-melee toons cry foul that they can be soloed by a boss if they cant apply a Mag 4 mez instantly), but the later trials give marginally better rewards (the Magisterium in particular is a waste of time if you fail - you only get Astrals upon completion), for a much greater investment of time and energy (those incarnate shifts are all but MANDATORY for a player to contribute).
In the end it feels like we only got ONE shift - mostly because the Alpha shift is the only one that works outside of trials - even Apex and Tin Mage don't let you bring your shifts from Lore/Destiny. Most of the mobs give almost nothing drop wise, have marginally better rewards than fighting 52s, and what are we left with? Shifts that can only be used to get more shifts, and even then only two for more than a year.
I don't feel like I'm a level 50+3 Incarnate of great power. I feel like I'm a level 50 fighting level 54s because the mobs have been designed to act that way even with my 3 level shifts. In fact, the ONLY real thing I noticed when I got my two incarnate shifts was that there were oranges and yellows in the BAF and Lambda. The numbers didn't really change all that much - my Fire Blaster could fire his attack chain at a Boss for an eternity and it STILL WOULDN'T DROP. Even though I was 50+3 and it was 54. Why? Because it had 50% Resistance to everything.
If I don't FEEL like I'm getting stronger, I'm not. Perception > Reality for me. -

Quote:...So it's an unholy fusion of "NO U" and the game Telephone?Unfortunately, it's a consequence of how some folks like argue. For example. party A says something, then party B rebuts it. Then party A argues a fine point or meaning of the rebuttal which is slightly tangential to the point. Party B then needs to clarify the tangential nature of that if they don't want their point undercut by it. Then party A argues a fine point of the clarification. After just a few passes, the debate is basically unrecognizable, even though each exchange was tied in some way to the one before it.
Naturally, that approach does little to actually defend party A's position. But if they're good at it, and party B doesn't catch on, it can look that way. -

Quote:It happened to me when I was going for a Rift - my Level Shift number went from Green to Red (+3 to -3). Couldn't repeat it the next time I tried. There is at least some circumstance under which that's bugged. At least once that I noticed, for sure, I was debuffed from 50+3 to 50-3.
Also, turning off APP/PPP is a REALLY dirty trick for non-melees - suddenly *BAMF* no more defensive toggle! And there's no warning this happened, so I was doing my first 4 or 5 Magisterium runs going after Tyrant with no Shield. -
Still wish I could go from the Rikti War Zone to Cimerora (or at least the midnighter club) without breaking a Co-op Team...
Maybe have a portal in RWZ instead of Founders/St. Martial? -
Minor issue for Melee Core- if you have it toggled off, it will disable the Passive Regeneration Bonus the power gives. Toggled on, it's lumped in with the Front Loaded Regen bonus. Not sure if this is the same problem as putting Gaussian's in Tactics (Either Tactics is off, or it's on with the Build Up effect in play).

Actually that makes sense - Shadow Hunter has a -Heal aura when his HP drops below half - if He's down to 5% that's 95% Heal resistance on EVERYONE. There's a reason you need to TRY for Triple Threat, not just go SH, NP and Chimera.
-
Personally I'd be more interested in a badge that says whether you're premium or VIP - I get so annoyed with two or three people trying to join an Incarnate trial as premiums (the same is true of Cathedral of Pains).

I dunno, I recall they Fixed Anti-Matter's slow plod to his regen chamber inside of a week or two.

Quote:Based on that mission I was under the impression we were going to reach 50+6 - AVs naturally con as +7, and since they were +1...Only thing that really comes to mind is the Alpha-slot mission, which is a very different beast [Radial FREEEM!] than what we should be getting.
Also, who knows? Maybe one of the slots really WILL give us something like [Limitless Radial FREEEM]... for 20 seconds with a 5 minute recharge. -
It's probably a bug - They had to add stuff a week or two after DD went live as well, same as MoM and TPN.

We're either getting Genesis or Mind (Which carries an Incarnate shift) with the next trial (Praetorian Hamidon), then the other two for the trials after that, which feature the Batallion.

Quote:I suppose I should've been more specific - I meant fighting as an actual, unshifted 50 (For example, a character who JUST unlocked alpha, or running Maria Jenkins with this sort of stuff disabled - AT only powers, etc). One other thing, if you have three level shifts, then you'll have one in Maria fighting a level 51 and be even to it (because Alpha's shift works so long as incarnate powers are available). You'll be -1 to a level 54 in an incarnate trial or DA. That would be why you can down 51s in non-incarnate zones faster than 54s in incarnate zones: the critters have gotten +3 higher, but you've only gotten +2 higher.
If I had a level 50+1 fighting 52s then it's little difference.
Actually, I remember my example - I was a 49 running on a team fighting 50s - It was my warshade so my Novas damage powers weren't changed after the fact. -
Quote:It prevents them from being hit by the purple patch, but they're still level 48 in terms of Damage, Base HP and Mez duration.Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't supremacy equalize pet levels in incarnate trials now? If so, they should all be the same level as the player, and thus if they were affected by all the lights as the devs intended (but not quite as they are working now) if the player was +3 the pets (and the player) should have been +9 - even-con to Tyrant.
That means that at least some of the problems masterminds have with pets can in fact be partially related to the shift bug, because their pets are having to face Tyrant at -3 rather than at even.
On the other hand, if the player is not +3 shifted to start, I would expect them to be on the ground a lot regardless of archetype.
It's why my blaster can down a level 51 IDF Commander (say, in Maria Jenkins arc) with no level shifts faster than he can take down a level 54 while packing 3 Level/Incarnate shifts. -
Wait, I thought all those contacts were repeatables?

QFT - when I20 launched my Brute would stand in range of a Pylon while waiting for an MSR to start - my Seeker (untouchable support pet) would IMMEDIATELY leave my side and charge the Pylon... despite the fact that she had NO attacks whatsoever. Really glad they fixed that (though my Monsoon elemental WILL sometimes leave my blaster to go heal my other Storm Elemental, then stay away for hurricane spam).
