I'm legitimately shocked that this wasn't the next Judgement power, actually. I mean, like I said, I love Vorpal, and it definitely fits my Scrapper better than a super-ground-punch would, but I also have characters that the punch would be a better fit on. Of course, I'm sure they're not done releasing new Judgements, it's just gonna take longer since it requires new animations.
  2. ...The word "damn" requires a warning now?

Anyway, oh yeah, that guy. I somehow managed to almost avoid anything having to do with that idiocy, so I'm only mildly aware of it.
  3. I feel like I'm missing a joke here.

Thanks for your winning contribution to this thread.

Also, the targetting for it does suck. It is very easy to click, and due to lag, end up not facing a mob. Not to mention, WHY does it have a range of 120 ft and a 120 degree arc?? Cyro has 120 ft range, and a 40? degree arc. Surely it is on or the other. If vorpal has such a massive arc, the range should be less.
I thought it was 80 foot range 80 degree arc?
  5. It's not a Stealth Nerf, it's a Stealth bug.
  6. The devs said that having both out was server-intensive.

  9. ...you're too quiet.

Look, Vorpal Judgement is great. It would be a little nicer for my Scrapper if it worked a bit more like Shield Charge/Lightning Rod and actually teleported me, but that's a minor quibble. The issue here is, it barely makes any noise! A quick "BAMF!" and that's it. Not even any noise when the "shadows" strike their targets! I almost feel like this has to be a bug because it just feels off.

The short of it: Add a few "thwacks".

I understand the desire to want to make new players feel welcome. I also understand the desire to make games more enjoyable. It's important to remember that easier does not necessarily mean more enjoyable though. There's something to be said for the argument that having to attain level 50 to earn something makes it more of an accomplishment. Granted, getting from 1 to 50 game is not all that difficult, especially with farms, but this is all the more reason why there's very little to be gained by dropping the level requirement.
So what you're saying is, you feel like reaching 50 has been cheapened by the fact that doing so no longer unlocks Kheldians. Now there's nothing special about being level 50. NOTHING AT ALL.

Your debt argument has some merit (honestly, I've seen new debt get wiped out by a single enemy defeat), but there was a time when it was a little too punitive (but then, see my sig). As for EATs? There's no reason for making the task of unlocking them hard (for some relative value of "hard"). They're not better than all the other archetypes (lol). The only thing I view as actually making the game easier in any negative sense is making things that affect actual gameplay too easy (extreme example: Lord Recluse is now on par with a level 1 Hellion). Not having to cross the entirety of Steel Canyon to get to the Green Line? It's a convenience. Too easy? Gosh, I'd say giving every player access to a power that can teleport them to any zone in the game world.

Whoops, yeah. I don't even think about that because I haven't had the Help channel enabled ever.
  13. Try looking at your server's global channels, there's probably a lot of teaming going on there too.

I explicitly left out Doc Q because Doc Q is and always shall be Satan incarnate.
  16. It says a lot about how much the game has changed when Keyes and Underground are considered long trials. Old school Posi back in the day used to take 3 times as long (at least, if you were lucky enough to even be able to keep a team together long enough to do it), and it was a hell of a lot more repetitive and tedious.

Like Psychoti said, there's more to the game besides iTrials, and there's a few other things you can do to earn progress towards your Incarnate stuff (any non-iTrial content you do will drop Shards which you can convert to Threads, Apex/Tin Mage give 2 Threads per run, you can get 1 Emp/Astral per week from the SSAs after you run them for the first time). We've also got two new trials coming down the pipeline in the immediate future, and more after that.

Patience. Nobody becomes a god overnight.

    C) She was murdered on my character's watch while he stood by doing nothing stuck in cutscene hell (new mez type, I gather)
    D) It beats the purpose of doing missions if a dev will come along at the end and says "no you don't!"
    E) I said I didn't like the way it was handled, not that I was shocked. The moment they anounced the name Alexis Cole along with a picture of Statesman crying over a dead woman's body (or tagged foot, whatever) you just knew she was going to die.
    A) If you're going to correct my grammar you might want to lay off the drug references. I believe you meant "heroine". Anyway, "hero" is perfectly valid as a gender-neutral term, as is "actor".
    B) I know that, my point is that this story is already not going to have a happy ending, yet prior to Part 3 you were "eager" to play it despite already knowing that it will not end happily.
    C) And that sucks. Bad things happen and sometimes you have no control over it.
    D) Again, you apply this logic just to one part of the story but not the story as a whole. (Hmm, what should we call the gestalt formed by these arcs? We need new terminology here and I feel that merely referring to them as "arcs" would be confusing.)
    E) So your problem isn't that there was a death, it's that you didn't get to see it coming when the entire "super-arc" (no, I don't think I like that term either) began. Or you're unhappy with how blatantly obvious the loading image was (a more valid complaint but entirely irrelevant to what you've been saying so far). I'm not really sure what you're getting at here, you seem to be coming from several directions at once.

Admittedly, I haven't done SSA3 blueside yet. You know where I have done it? Redside. Do you know how it went on redside? As an extremely rare unqualified victory for the villains. My WM/SD Brute bashed Alex Cole-Duncan's skull in with her mace (what's that you say? why no I didn't hear any gunshot, you must have imagined it...). We've had 21 issues of the heroes always winning, even at the end of some villain arcs. Face it, this time you lost.
  18. The entire premise of Who Will Die is that a hero will die. I can't believe you're actually shocked that they followed through on that.
  19. Pretty sure only the devs know the answer to this. Also pretty sure it's not (a) since I believe they have said that it's something they want to be able to do, so either (b) or (c). I think at the moment there's just technical hurdles to it, which they may or may not currently be working on.

  22. Badge runs should be announced ahead of time, but I can't imagine anyone arguing over the very easy badges in the DFB trial. If you don't care about badges then it doesn't matter whether or not you defeat the boss first, so you might as well defeat the boss first. If you do care about badges, it doesn't hurt if you and the rest of the team take out the minions for the extra XP.

This is honestly the silliest thing to argue about.
