I used the Jester mask with parts from the Magic Booster for a Psy/Dark Defender I have planned. Really wanted the Dark Ring Mistress code from that contest last summer but all I managed to get was a crummy KoA costume.
-
Good thing you used an asterisk instead of the X that most people use.
I don't know that I would play any other game based on the CoX universe. To be honest the signature heroes are all kinda dull, I don't think I would get much out of playing them. -
I resubbed back in February and it took about a day.
-
Brutes and Masterminds also solo well, redside.
-
Old-school Defiance was a terrible inherent ability and it would be even more worthless on a character with an armor powerset.

I still don't understand the hate for Old Domino's, nor do I understand their current ad campaign. Their old pizzas tasted fine to me, although I admit I haven't been able to try their new recipe (no Domino's in this terrible pit of a town, just Pizza Hut and a good local chain).

Code:As you can see, my attacks are slotted out a bit better, and Death Shroud is un-gimped. I feel like Oppressive Gloom might be overslotted, but that was mainly for the recharge bonus, and I'm not sure what else to do with the slots. I'm uncertain about Cloak of fear -- would I be better with -ToHit or Fear here? I'd probably go with 5x Glimpse if I switched to Fear.| Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1406;724;1448;HEX;| |78DA9D945B4F134114C767BBADA5F796D20B17814269A1D085BE7979300A122534C| |1102F41635DCB4A1B9716B7AD8A2FA2BEE23DD144C5E89730881FC6078DFAA031EA| |8B89977A2E5312E39B9BF6FFDB3973E69C3967A6CD5F9EF20AB1B64F289E4953AFD| |50A07AC46DD70E4F5A572D13B592F35CC52A37F52B74CA710224A9385BC611A8636| |A55BE7F935CEE629E39C51A9C989FDD672D50A1DAE940CCBA8D4B5D68B77AE5A35B| |5E972BD62D46A3C9835F4957265C94D83F915C358F449A7A5521D26620757CA458D| |53CC571B6621AFD7EA86B51A870D8DC0F7A3683D4DBB3803C8891D3AC17B96E02F1| |2A28B8447E8A948F724BCA4856D989122F8A3809D2211277C6A798BA6433139FA32| |47AF1006AB84F425426695F00454E524AACA49EC9CC4CE491243040774D5C17EC29| |1A5A59F419D9C5075865534B575302204778CB0011E2E5E6A73710A37C78E72A628| |44F1C8D89EEF028B7182C9C726C53743F5E58E2918ED29D8028A4265067C2ACE04F| |D8C00A137484886089976C217F00F095E155AB761A0F69B8C5B84DEDB84FE3B8CBB| |8436D8455836277C8F4C1DF7190F08D9878418F845B81322D24D453F86414C1E5EE| |C22F52BCE8D8F5F21F45E208CD5085F413BE5FE3A7F50D0AE9F8C5F84C46FC26093| |9016946400F276CBCE768F52A09EBFA038B1786EE3CE43D4D9EC0CE11B689FBC8B7| |D7C17FBF92E26F92E26F92E66F82E3E071D90E50C5CA583185C23A4AF11C6AE1372| |37082AE41D928D1BCAD021A7F8AC53E3E490D208CFC06358861D7E63C38D8DBC65B| |C63BC276413B4E922543D2ACB1965F731767F0D7F0D9A4CA8BDA01E8D6F325E32B6| |0806449890112636A9B4DC078AD063DFFE71C2071E31FB8F65CEBEFD13130A59A6D| |14759404BD315244FC1CEFFF56C795B295D47DC10781E441C45398EC313280B2827| |D1760AE5344A01A5F96A7B756017EE6B37CA1E94BD2811D89F58474FA707C483E24| |5F1A1F85102284194304A17CA064AF30FBE90FD16| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

What's the difference between someone who DCs and someone who has to log off because they have to take their dog to the vet/their house is on fire/other emergency? You and I know the difference, but does the game?

Eliminate the Infected - The lowbie villain mission that takes you all the way across Mercy Island at level 3 or 4. Not Doctor Creed's arc! I do this every single time on a new villain, just for the joy of making Infected explode.
Sure I lose XP, but it's totally worth it. Whenever I finish the mission I spend the next 8 or so minutes circling the building, using the temp power as much as I can before it wears out.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I usually tend to drop missions out of laziness more than anything else. Hunt missions tend to get dropped. Sometimes I'll skip the last mission of an arc if I just want to get it done and there's nothing especially interesting in the last mission (although I've had this backfire a few times when ParagonWiki turns out to have missions listed in the wrong order). And like others have said, obnoxious maps will also do it, like sprawling tiny caves. -
Quote:Just the leader, just like Hess and Katie.Out of curiosity (I don't have any high level Villains), do all members of the team have to have done the patron arc or just the leader?
Quote:Actually, when the STF was introduced, there was a strong argument to lock that TF in the same way as the LRSF (ie: have to get the "Statesman's Pal" badge to access it). Funny, seems like the devs are damned if they do, damned if they don't -
-
I have to be honest: I thought this thread was a joke because I interpreted the thread title wrong.
My original thought would be better (tier 9 nuke: suits of armor come raining down from the sky! I call it: Rain of Armor, or Armor Rain), but this is okay I guess.
I think having the set use costume parts (like the Crab backpack, as you said) would be the way to do as it seems like it would make customization easier. -
But it makes sense, villainy is inherently proactive. And why should Lord Recluse trust some schlubby level 45 villain who hasn't even proven his worth with the task of crushing the Freedom Phalanx once and for all?
Clearly you don't have what it takes to be a true villain... -
And it's a good spot to slot a Karma Knockback Protection if your character lacks it (or a LotG +Rech, if you desire). So dead power slot, I think not.
-
Have to agree with the OP here. The LRSF is harder than all 6 signature blueside TFs combined (this is an entirely arbitrary statement but one that I feel makes my point). It may not be too difficult for King PowerGamer but for the regular player who may only get to do the LRSF in a PUG it's quite a steep requirement.

Quote:I wouldn't wager that a free content release will ever be more expansive than a paid content release. Not at all.
I'm not belittling it at all. But I'm suggesting that with a very big Issue number around the corner the development team have been moving that forward - and I'm suggesting that it'll be a lot bigger than GR.
I'd go so far as to speculate that GR and the things you've mentioned above provide a great deal of the ground work... that's the foundation for the next big leap perhaps. -
I don't know about you, but I've flown by so many gray-con muggings with indifference over the years that I've lost count. What you described would actually not be much different.

Quote:The arc file you're trying to save uses a map, enemy, or costume part that needs to be unlocked with tickets at a Ticket Vendor. Reasons I can think of for this happening:I'm working on a new AE arc and when I clicked "Save and Test" I got an error message that read, "Attempted to use unlockable content name that has not been rewarded to the entity."
Actually this error message came up four times for the same mission.
What does it mean and how can I correct it?
1. You have more than one account and are trying to transplant this arc from an account that does have the "thing" unlocked.
2. You inserted the "thing" into the arc file manually.
3. It's a bug, petition it. -
Prior to SSK, I would say option A. These days it's a bit more nebulous, but I would still tend toward A.

I can already hear BAB gnashing his teeth.
