Unlock the LRSF
But it makes sense, villainy is inherently proactive. And why should Lord Recluse trust some schlubby level 45 villain who hasn't even proven his worth with the task of crushing the Freedom Phalanx once and for all?
Clearly you don't have what it takes to be a true villain...

They never removed the arc required to start Hess, or Katie Hannon. I don't see them making an exception on this one.

I fully agree. It's just an unnecessary restriction, IMO.

What is it about the "The Devs HATE villains!"* concept you don't understand?
* For the trigger happy rep people and nerdragers out there, yes, this is tongue in cheek.

LRSF is THE big finisher of the game...and it requires you to kowtow and work through a long and in some cases (Im looking at YOU, Captain Fishface!) ardous arc.
It probably wouldn't have come up, but I was trying to throw together a fairly late LRSF run with as many VEATs as we could lay hands on, and SG/Channel friends. It hastily fell apart when we realised we needed the arc badge.
And yes, Devs do hate Villains. But LRSF is a Villain himself! So that means I can DOUBLE HATE him! Grr!
/tongue in cheek at end, for those who are slow
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Actually, when the STF was introduced, there was a strong argument to lock that TF in the same way as the LRSF (ie: have to get the "Statesman's Pal" badge to access it). Funny, seems like the devs are damned if they do, damned if they don't
Out of curiosity (I don't have any high level Villains), do all members of the team have to have done the patron arc or just the leader?

Just the leader, just like Hess and Katie.
I would support this over unlocking the LRSF. |
Although I would probbly make a lot of money betting on their being storms of outrage if that happened

Ofcourse blue side will outrage.. but red side has to endure.
This whole 'devs hate villains' thing is just too obvious. Red side is at least 25% harder then blue. Probable more.
I started as a villain and only made my first hero after months of playing. I couldn't believe how fast and easy I had it in all aspects of the game. This should be repaired. Not by making it easier for villains. But by making it just as hard for heroes!

How about...No.! i like the journey to 50 playing the arcs inorder to unlock something.
It's that simple, really.
"Yay, you have to be a pawn of Arachnos and work through one of these long arcs to even open the last SF of the game!"
Uhm...sorry, but what? How about t'hell with you? The STF is not locked out...why on earth is the LRSF? Not worthy, huh; how about surviving to level 45 in the scummy Rogue Isles, thats quite a feat in and of itself, thanks.
Was really not amused by that...
