Torrents are not happening. I don't engage in that, so...ya.
What I'm thinking is along the lines of a mom-n-pop shop that sells a bit of everything. A little store that has a website and would be pretty much overlooked by everyone. Suncoast is no longer available online, instead it goes to FYE.
The nearest possible store that would even perchance to have anything related to anime is an hour drive (one way). One of the downsides to living in a small town is that for anything specialized like this, I have to travel a fair distance.
It seems as if AnimEigo printed up like five copies of each of these. And four of which went to rental places.I'm not against used copies, but chances are if they're used, they won't have the liner notes included. That's not to mention the probability of being in less-than-acceptable condition.

Thanks, but those are busts too.
I'm utterly mystified by the fact that the discs I need are so blasted rare. And they're just so random.
I could buy these complete sets I see, but $800 (or more) is just absurd. I could try and sell the extra 44, but that is a ton of work with no guarantee. -

Quote:Tried there. They are listed as "On Order", which is what pretty much every site I've seen lists them as. Plus, I've emailed them a couple of times and gotten no response.
Like I said, I've tried Google Shopping and Bing Shopping. I'm looking for places that wouldn't show up on the results there, yet are reputable enough. Meaning if they show up on either of those two search engines, I've seen 'em, so no need to suggest 'em. -

Fringe is back on tonight. We learn something about what happened to Pacey...err...Peter.

Except that is typically, along with poverty/homelessness/hunger/etc., what is referred to when people speak of "problems" that we need to solve.
Quote:How about ships with a strong structure to handle the speeds, how about something like Star Trek's navigational deflector shield that sweeps space debris away from the ship as it travels to avoid collisions (force = mass times acceleration, etc), life support for the crew, methods to keep the crew from having "cabin fever" on excessively long trips even at FTL speeds.
Quote:Remember the old Rock Hudson movie the Martian Chronicles? If my memories are correct, the martians killed the initial explorers, but the bacteria/germs they brought with them on their bodies that is harmless to us was lethal to the Martians and they all died off. So what happens when we set foot on one of the Earth type planets we've been finding of late? Will the mere presence of us being on that planet kill off some or all of it's life due to simple bacteria/germs from us that are harmless to us? or will something from that planet prove to be anthema to us? Only way to find out is to get there, of course -
And we will always have those problems. Holding ourselves back to "solve" things that haven't been solved in 10,000 years is folly. Not to mention the fact that scientists working on developing FTL drives are probably not conversant with molecular biology, economics, or city planning and development.

They don't have the ones I'm needing. I've already tried Half.com, Best Buy, Tower, Overstock, eBay, eBid, Buy.com, Borders, Anime Corner Store, AnimEigo's website, etc. I'm looking for the hidden gem sellers.

Ahem...
Professor Farnsworth: These are the dark matter engines I invented. They allow my starship to travel between galaxies in mere hours.
Cubert: That's impossible. You can't go faster than the speed of light.
Professor Farnsworth: Of course not. That's why scientists increased the speed of light in 2208.
We're only off by about a hundred years... -
I'm trying to find some anime dvds that are out of print and not having any luck whatsoever. Just wondering if anyone knows of websites that may not show up in a Google or Bing shopping search.
In particular, I'm looking for Urusei Yatsura 27, 41, 43, 44, 45, and 50. I could get #43 on Amazon, but I am NOT paying $100 for a single disc.
TIA. -
I'm expecting the Wesley to have put something in Fargo's goo (my goo! my precious goo!) that'll turn him purple or make him go bald.
It's obviously Beverly or whatever her name is that got the ship. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if she managed to tag Sen. Wray with that same nanobot. Given the previews of the final season, it appears as if lots of people have been tagged. I'm guessing it's nothing altruistic that they took the ship for, most likely it's "We want the tech because we think we're entitled to it", IMO.
The reason for the dog coming off stilted is because well, it's Artie. I think the writers are doing a fine job with it.
Still wondering if it is in fact, Waller trying to get Jynx as a double-agent. It would make sense to do so, but he really does seem pissed off and anti-Warehouse now. -
Ya, I'm not one for cop/crime shows either. But Castle got me. Along with the remake of Hawaii 5-0, though that may be because of the hawtsome Grace Park.
Also, H5-0 is starting up again tonight as well. -

Speedy...err "Red Arrow"...and Cheshire just need to get over the budding sexual tension.
Also, M'gann is just too frickin' cute for her own good. She was a little too quick with the, "Of course I'm a green Martian" bit. (Yes, I know the story with her, at least in the Teen Titans comic.) -
Quote:Only 2 isles for Christmas and Thanksgiving combined? Where are you at, that its that low? There'll be everything BUT 2 isles for Xmas crap.I keep telling my friends, give it a few more years and Wal-Mart won't even bother changing it's stock. They'll just end up having all Holiday stuff out year round. 2 Isles for Halloween, 1 Isle for V-Day, 2 isle for Christmas/Thanksgiving.
With the appropriate Holiday getting expanded on if it is within 4 months of it. -
Because the Christmas stuff will be out the second week of October? Gotta sell the Halloween stuff in that small window between back to school and xmas.

30 Days of Night vamps are worse IMO, than the sparkly vamps. Dumb as dirt and just as filthy. No class whatsoever.

Obvious rip on the Labyrinth and the Minotaur from mythology.
Amy & Rory? Not buying it for a second. Ol' Doctor gets all maudlin, as per standard procedure.
It amazes me how many episodes the whole series has gotten out of the concept of "Run down a hallway". -
Quote:The guy was arrested for a different crime. I would imagine they could return the stuff if they don't intend to prosecute for the stealing-from-the-disabled-guy. Or maybe they cataloged it/took pictures/etc, there was sufficient evidence there to show that he had it, so that it could safely be returned to the owner.Glad he got his stuff back, plus a tour of Siegel/Schuster home sounds cool too.
One thing I'm hazy on due to not being as fluent about certain rules as I once was, but wouldn't the stolen items be seized as evidence for any impending trial and then returned after said trial?
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's all been returned and then some I just don't want to see the thief walk out. -
Quote:The Aflac duck isn't that badly animated/produced. It could work for Mousse. As awesome as this could be, I just don't see how it could work.
I mean... okay, boy/girl Ranma could work... but Genma/Panda, Shampoo/Cat, Moose/Duck.... uhhhhhhhh that just screams bad CGI.
Wait wait wait... live action Shampoo? Okay, this needs to be made NOW.
But yes, we needs a live action Shampoo...STAT! -
That song is badass. Also, Beaker, Swedish Chef, & Lew Zealand FTW...

Does it have hot brunettes in gold bikinis? Failing that, hot greengirls in mesh dancing outfits?
