  1. Silly Brit reporting in sar!

There's always the famous one about "Excuse me while I kiss this guy" although my all time favourite was a friend from when I was younger who was utterly convinced that MC Hammer was singing a song called "King Testes".

    So Praetorians!

The Militia forum is currently alive with debate on a new Praetorian Police Department group who will be pursuing those dastardardly Resistance folk next week starting from their first day on the beat. Will they act Responsibly or fall to the lure of Power? Or even turn traitor? We don't know yet but then that's half the fun of finding out.
  3. I think everyone's bricking it over the online store at the moment. They'll probably wait a few months to see what money they've made out of the EU and then maybe, maybe they might turn their attention to us. Don't hold your breath though.

Please. I'll settle for all of the American ones on one united server list.

As for the slots... shameful. What a way to spoil the launch.
  5. This thread is shameful to read. I have no technical expertise in these things so I cannot suggest anything that you haven't tried already. I can only hope that what remains of the EU support team can help you out. Please keep us updated on this situation as we're all waiting to welcome you into the ranks of The Shafted.

There are many things I want NCSoft to sort out when it comes to its EU customers but stopping turning them away would definitely be high up on the list of priorities.

I really hope they get things sorted for you.
  6. That's a lot of help Psylenz, thanks very much.

I've got Wednesday and Thursday off work to enjoy GR goodness so if anyone's around in the day, I can help out with... well, most things I guess.

Add another vote for the 4 SG option. I tend to play on Union most but I’d love to jump the gap more often to play on Defiant with our brothers in arms. Also with 4 SGs, we could have the option to have different themes: 1 Tech Hero group, 1 Arcane Villain group, 1 Arcane Hero group and 1 Tech villain group. Not that it should matter for recruiting purposes but it could give a challenge to any ardent base builders out there. Perhaps we could also nominate 4 people to oversee each of the SGs as well, perhaps 1 from each server. Names, any of those suggested sound good.

As for advertising, although spamming broadcast sometimes works, I think we need to think about events to get ourselves noticed. The following sponsored events always seem to get attention:

    Costume Contests
    Death Races
    Monster Hunts
    TF Runs
    Badgehunting runs
    PvP Arena matches

I’d happily participate in any of the above and more (even if I do get my *** kicked in PvP lol). Some board presence is always good, perhaps some banners for signatures if people want to voluntarily put them in. I could probably knock something up if we needed them.

Perhaps something else to consider is a ‘uniform’ of sorts. I know this always causes problems so it could be entirely voluntary, but if we came up with a colour scheme, pattern and emblem, then people could use them in any way they liked on their costume. Sounds lame perhaps, but seeing colour co-ordinated groups always catches my eye. Again, maybe a challenge for those of us who love the costume creator.

As for side switching, once I have my Brute blueside and my Blaster redside, I doubt I’ll be using it very much outside of roleplay which I’ll do within my own RPSG. I expect I might move some other characters to Vigilante/Rogue as well just to be able to take part in both sides but I have no intention of leaping back and forth across the divide every few weeks.
  9. Hi folks.

Even though I've had access to them for a number of months now, I've never felt the compulsion to try out Demon Summoning. I think perhaps being a melee toon on a team full of screaming cowbeasts kind of put me off a bit. However, with GR imminent, I realised that I had the perfect opportunity to reroll one of my main characters as a heroic DS/Dark Mastermind. I've browsed through the forum and found a few answers to my many questions but there's some I still haven't got a satisfactory answer to. I hope you can help.

    1) I'm used to skipping MM attacks apart from theme mostly due to them being a bit naff. However, I gather that the whip attacks do actually have some virtue in debuffing the foe a little despite probably being low damage. Are they all worth getting? Or do some stand out from others? Is the knockdown reliable? I'm used to being in bodyguard mode and getting into melee so the short range doesn't bother me at all. Or are they the type of thing which are useful while levelling but get respecced out later on?

    2) When planning my build, what should I be building for? Melee defence, range, recharge speed? I'm not a min/maxer but I do like to think ahead and I'm not quite sure what I'm aiming for with this one.

    3) Living Hellfire. Worth it? The buff seems nice but a little short lived. Would I be a fool for skipping it?

    4) The current 'bug/no it's not a bug' situation aside, do demons like melee or range? I figure the former. I'm used to using the Numberpad Keybind system so issuing orders is easy, I just want to know where they're most efficient.

    Thanks as always!
  10. I can't begin to estimate how long I've spent tinkering with builds in the designer.

Thank you very much for the hard work you have put into it.
  11. I support this idea!

I am making my first attempt at a 'natural' traveller i.e. uses Superjump to emulate grappling hooks and swinging from buildings. Being able to car surf and leap off at appropriate destinations would be ace.

I was quite sad the first time one of my flyers tried to land on the zeppelin in Atlas Park and slid off.

Okay, nice to see something for the EU at last. Thank you. Now for the rest.
  13. So having read most of the thread, I think the answer might be ALL OF THEM.
  14. Personally, I'm tired of seeing the same old animations recycled for these powers:

    Boxing, Jab, Radiant Strike

Air Superiority, Bone Smasher, Haymaker, Havoc Punch

    Total Focus, Incandescent Strike, Thunderstrike

I whooped for joy when I was able to remove them from my Superstrength characters.

I was going to make a separate post for this but I'll suggest it here. Castle, players have been clamouring for years for a Martial Arts style Blaster secondary. In the same way that you were able to give us a Street Fighting set with alternate animations in Martial Arts, I think you can do the same by making some flashier moves for Energy Manipulation.

Step 1) Offer the 'Minimal Effects' option in the costume creator, similar as is used for Willpower, Super Reflexes etc. This removes the glowing balls of doom and gives a set of fist based attacks.

Step 2) Provide some flashier, more martial arts based moves for the attacks in the set: Power Thrust, Energy Punch, Bone Smasher, Stun and Total Focus. The buffs can stay as is.

I might make light of how 'simple' this may seem but this could be a very quick win for those of us who want a brawling/martial arts secondary for Blaster. I hope you like the idea.

  16. The snark was uncalled for but I get the idea and quite frankly, I like a challenge. Given that we've had sod all responses since our 'concerns were raised with relevant parties' I reckon it's time to step up the pace a little.

I have written a long letter, polite but firm, detailing our concerns which will be posted first class to the suggested addresses above. I have included the address of the 'Going Rogue in Europe' thread which I think details our concerns pretty well. You never know, someone might read it.

I will update this thread each week to let you know whether I have received a response.

Should I receive a response, I will happily post it up here for the community to digest.

Let's see who gets back to us first.

Also, if anyone else feels like doing the same, go ahead. Perhaps mass bombardment is the only way to get noticed around here.
  17. Welcome back Mother.

  18. I watched all three episodes (hey, being in the UK does have its advantages) and I love it. To be fair, it's Moffatt and Gatiss who is a far better writer than he is actor IMHO.

There's only two problems with it so far. Watson, apart from being very good in the first episode, really has little to contribute to the drama. Sherlock is always upstaging him, demeaning him and I can't find any good reason for why Sherlock keeps him around.

Secondly... the main bad guy, revealed in the third episode. Why!? Why do that to one of the greatest villains ever!? Why give him The Master treatment? I so much prefer a cruel, calculating villain to the constant flow of 'nutters' we seem to be seeing on TV at the moment. Ooooh, be scared of me because I'M CRAAAAAAAAZZZYYY!!!! No, I'd rather not thanks. You don't scare me in the slightest. Main let down of what so far could be a brilliant series.

Hopefully they'll correct these oversights when the new series rolls around.

This idea still appeals to me so I'm willing to give it a go. Outside of my regular RPSG meet ups, I'm free for most teaming/events etc.

I'm relaxed as to which server. Union is my home so I've got most of my alts there but I can probably make some space. It's the participation that counts to I'll go wherever. A hero and villain group would also be a grand idea so that we can team on both sides. I already alt a lot as it is, so it shouldn't be too hard to limit myself to one for each side.

As for names, all of the ones suggested sound good to me although using European Union ideas would allow us to use the Euro flag as an emblem.

I'm still not sure how SGs/VGs are going to work with GR so I'm not sure when we can join them with Praetorian characters. But the channel should be a good tool for us to keep in contact. I'll apologise in advance for my limited French and even more limited German.

I can't help it if it is so darn popular. I'm not really all that bad . . .

    Am I?
I'm still only halfway through it but it's a good guide. I've only just started considering rolling an Illusion/Rad and it's been a great help. Right now he's shelved until Going Rogue goes live but your guide's given me a lot of ideas.
  21. I'm always windowed and have a browser open in the background, normally to flick to during load screens.

I have a chat channel open at all times, normally the RP OOC one I help to moderate. I like to do story arcs and still haven't done all of the ones in game yet. If I fancy a quick blast, I'll just do radios/papers. If I want to try something new, I'll alt to the character I keep permanently in AE and work my way through the AE arcs by contact that is up in the MA forum (can't remember the link, but it's ace).

I'm always in some semi-RP mode, mainly because I create all my alts with an RP concept but that never stops me picking up non-RP groups or throwing myself into TFs/SFs that might pop up.

Over the last year, I've finally got into inventions and draw up builds for all of my toons so I spend some time on the market, almost like it's a mini game. Owing to this, I have some toons parked at level 33 and will occasionally run an arc at the highest setting I can, just to see if I can do it. I don't PvP but I'll occasionally badge hunt, especially if it's on one of the three toons I have allocated for doing that. One day I'll try PvP I'm sure.
  22. I guess it would be cool if we could transfer slots native to other servers to those of our choosing. So if someone's an ardent player on say Virtue, they could transfer the 12 slots they'll never play on Victory or Pinnacle to Virtue. Kinda the same way we can choose which server we add paid for or veteran slots to.

Every time I see those numbers, I grind my teeth in frustration, especially as we pay almost the same subscription fee. Yet another good reason for a server list merge. Good for everyone. But anyway, that's a different topic.

I'd go for more slots. More money for development, more incentive to play, more fuel for my altisis.
  23. I have already picked one hero and one villain who will toy with swapping sides. However, as you're asking about fallen heroes:

Anathema, my AR/En Blaster is a survivor of Dr Vahzilok's organ harvest and has always been a little too dark for Blueside. So once GR hits, she'll become more extreme, to the point where arresting the bad guys isn't going to be enough for her.
  24. I use this one:

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/File:A..._ArachnosC.jpg

On my Huntsman build because it looks like the only one capable of firing grenades. Plus I like big guns and the other two are a bit weedy in comparison.

For my Bane build, I like this mace:

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/File:A...SpiderMace.jpg

Because it's simple. None of these fancy blades and whatnot. It's a big piece of metal that shoots lazers and cracks skulls. That's good enough for me.
  25. [QUOTE=Crimson_Archer_EU;3082372]Cool, that would make it just like the Omega Sektor meet then. Kall, can you arrange to have a security guard bust into the toilets while Dante is using them too, just so he feels doubly at home! [QUOTE]

Don't worry, I'm sure I'll find some equally awful way to make an *** of myself, it is an innate talent after all.
