Quote:Before this little part, I had just assumed you had a big ego from all the things you've done, but now it comes across that you are very full of yourself.Unless I specifically use the words "I'm just guessing" then when I say anything about the powers system, the powers implementation, the game code, the developers design tools, the developers design methodology, or the general game mechanics I am not guessing.
I almost never *have to* guess. In the specific case about how Castle manages and implements the powers system, the only person on Earth that knows more about that is Castle. After his morning coffee.
And yes, I get the irony that that is coming from someone with the name "PracticallyGod" -
I see risk vs reward being brought up a lot, but there are plenty of things the devs changed that skew that anyways. CoT portals and Comm officer portals spring to mind. Any summoned enemy really - Infernals demons, Batzuls imps, anything the wyvern conjure up, ect... all things that bring with them plenty of risk but literally 0 reward. I can see why they were changed, but there is still risk involved and no reward.

Quote:I feel sorry for the Devs more often than the players in this. After all, there is a very finite number of them and millions of us (or maybe only thousands if you consider the ones actively looking for exploits). The Power Gamers looking for the exploits are bound to win more often than the Devs. -

Quote:I can haz 1-50 in 3 hours? No one will see any inflation relief until the holes are closed with regards to exploit leveling. Just remember that xp is closely related to inf in this game and the amount of xp and inf that you can generate today (usually via AE) has seriously flooded the game with cheap easily gained influence.
i14 1 to 50 in less than an hour.
Right now, 1 to 50 in 3 hours.
PvP IOs trading for such high value are a symptom of rampant inflation and not only high demand and low supply. -
I'm going to start farming the 3rd mission of ITF devs, you should fix it before all my toons hit 50 off of it.

Quote:Isnt strength of will unaffected by recharge time?I wholeheartedly disagree. The more I invested in my SS/Will Brute, the more his tier 9 became useful. With a 2 min godmode (for WP, more like godling) and a negligible crash, it is worth it. Having invested in 4 purple sets and LOTG my global rech is solid. That tier 9 pops up a minute or so after it drops, so approximately 2/3 of the time I can be in tier 9, with no real end concerns. That ain't throwaway unless you know something I do not. Since my brute is built to do damage and not as much for res/def (according to research on scrapper board one of the top 5 melee damage dealers when built for rech) I need the kind of protection that tier 9 gives. And i use it, i use it regular, and can wade into stupid situations because of it. At the end of the ITF I regularly split from the group and solo a giant mob on a building top using tier 9. Just jump in and solo a huge spawn of Cims. Without tier 9 I could not do that without worries. Unless I built for res/def, in which case I would not grind them nearly as fast.
So, all tier 9s are throwaways because the Devs cannot fix Invulnerability's? Not in my experience. -
When will brutes get spines, martial arts, and regen?

though if you chanjoin robo's lounge, you'll probably get link steel or eliza flame sending you tells

I've tried several missions people were claiming they were getting some mass inf from, though when I played them they just seemed normal rewards.
-
ok so who has an elec/shield, fire/shield, and dm/shield scrapper builds SC without some botz? without using pvp ios or botz, i was able to get my elec/shield build to 45, 46, and 37 in melee, ranged, and aoe defense respectively
-
If only the devs fixed things that need fixing as fast as they fix these things. Too bad the lag in the itf doesn't give bonus xp or that would have probably been fixed by now.
-
I made a mission with res bubblers and defendable objects that when destroyed spawn mass amounts of enemies. you run into one room, the guys in that room kill the objects, then you kill stuff for 10 or so minutes. great for tickets.
I ran across a mission with the level range of 52 to 5 (no I dont have it backwards) and was curious as to how that was made. If anyone wouldnt mind PMing me Id be grateful. -
ya'll mind PMing me some of the AE missions you use to farm?

Whats the point of this channel if you're just going to fill LB with your mom jokes, lame sex jokes, and "ha ha I made it sound like he is gay" jokes as well as stupid recipe linking?

This is the build I'm working towards, I have the run speed GotA slotted as he is a play on sonic the hedgehog

Quote:If you're set on a Scrapper, Electric/Shield is a solid choice. I don't have one myself, but I do have the Brute version and I imagine they don't play very differently.
However, if you can be persuaded to go the Tank route, I've found that I can farm as quickly (if not quicker) as my Fire/Kin and Arch/MM on my Shield/SS/Pyre Tank. It's easier to soft-cap the Tank, the damage is still incredible (Footstomp, Fireball, Shield Charge, Footstomp, Fireball without any break in the chain) and your survivability is off the charts.
The thing I love about this build is that Footstomp and Shield Charge each have an incredibly large radius...and Footstomp recharges so, so quickly that you can almost cycle it without interruption. That huge radius comes in handy. Add to that a big hitter in KO Blow and a couple of decent single-target attacks, and you are a one-man wrecking crew.
And then there is this: no worries about mez, never any worries with greens...if you're farming just keep eating all the inspirations that drop and you'll speed up your kill rate and increase your survivability. I've done various farms with mine (BM, Freaks, AE etc.) but recently I've found an RWZ mission featuring Rikti (a decent bump in xp and inf from them over other factions) that I can totally wreck - it's an xp and drops bonanza.
Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide on!
what RWZ mission have you been using?
