Alright, instead I'll point you to Arcanaville's Scrapper Secondaries Comparison that shows Dark Armor is one of the very best melee armors you can roll.

I'll never understand why people think one of the strongest sets in the game needs a buff.
  2. Perhaps the Recharge could be lowered and the Heal and +HP proportionately lowered until it no longer put you over the HP cap?

Stalker Weapons APP has Physical Perfection, so you get toys and one of the best utility powers in the game.

Stalkers are still one of the best picks for PvP.

If you like Stealth and/or big alpha strikes.

If you like crits, try playing a Stalker on a large team. Will crit many times more often than a Scrapper ever could.

Of course, if you just don't like Stalkers, that's okay. Not every Archetype is for every person. I, for example, hate playing Defenders.
  4. Percy Winkley at 50 wants:

    -To roll an alt

    or

-To run BAF and LAMBDA to the exclusion of all other iTrials

    or

    -To kill the Midnighters

    Pain/MM Viable?

Demons/Thermal is probably better than Demons/Pain.
  6. If you don't like how a team is being handled, go form your own. Back seat leading is bad.

I don't PvP anymore but I'd buy Accolades happily because I don't want to kill 200 Family Bosses anymore. It's boring.
  8. One of the more interesting ideas I've heard for it are keep it single-target from Hide, but AOE when not in Hide.

And for the record, AS does debuff your enemies.

  10. The old Cheetara was sexier. This one has strange shorts. Panthro lacks the sophisticated air of the original, as well. This looks to be much better drawn than the original, however.

The cape and aura unlocks were the first two things I bought. Worth every point.

  13. If it's 20% chance for Hidden on every attack, I'm interested. If it's 20% chance for Hidden on one attack, I'm not.
  14. I've not noticed any improvement in costuming over the past year. I'd say the costumes are as good or bad as ever. I'm no fan of the current trend towards overly-ornate armor. It's telling my most complimented costume is a basic Golden Age Tanker tights look. Something odd is going on in costuming when tights become something special.

Simple costumes with strong themes are my favorites, and is normally how I do costumes these days.

    Being Insta-killed isn't Fun

    Zerging an Objective isn't fun.

Sitting in the Hospital while other people finish the challenge isn't fun.

Grinding for Currency to Buy Rewards isn't Fun. (It's called 'Work' in the Real World.)

    Downtime is no fun.

Trying to Corral 16 or 24 Strangers is not fun.

...I think that the trial designers need to go further than simply tweaking numbers. They need to step back, take a hard, deep look at what they've built and ask themselves 'Why isn't this fun?'
EPIC post! I've sworn off iTrials myself and you've touched on all the points of why that is.
  16. You'd be hard pressed not to come pretty close to at least one of the comic book characters created over comics' 70+ year history with almost any character you create.

On a recent Usteam, the devs said Street Justice was influenced by Batman, so the devs do it, too.

I like to take an existing comic book character I like and alter them enough so that even though you can guess the source material, it isn't genericable because it's just too different to be called a copy.

A certain sci-fi MMO coming up blatantly uses famous characters as their templates too, saying you can live out the "smuggler-guy fantasy" or the "dark lord fantasy" in their promotional videos.

Heck, even the various comic book publishers have done this to each other other the years! Captain Marvel vs. Superman is a great example. Original work or rip-off?

Maybe someone in this game wants to live out the Batman fantasy or the Superman fantasy. Nothing wrong with that so long as you inject enough originality to call it your own.

  18. I think the #1 complaint about Stalkers is the lack of damage, especially AOE. Turing AS into an AOE when not hidden is a very interesting idea. I would couple that with either making Stalker crits +150% or +200% damage and/or making the Stalker melee damage modifier 1.293.

Stalkers don't survive as well as Scrappers, so need to out damage them.

Yes, Shield Defense. I was one who, in the closed beta, called it squishy and advocated a buff. I regret that now I see how OP the set is. Though, that might be mostly due to the set's ability to exploit Hamidon Origin Enhancements to achieve 95% DDR. Take that away, and the set is a bit more balanced. A bit.

But I digress, that discussion is for another thread and forum.
  20. I love the aviary. If only it were in a more central location because the view it gives in its current location leaves much to be desired.

I agree. The revolving and often locked hospital door is not my favored play style.

    CoH on RPS

Reading the comments, you see some people who walked away over the IO locking issue. I knew that was going to happen. They should've let people keep their IOs to keep them around. People who uninstall don't buy Points.

Ah, well! The damage is done.
