  1. My DM/SD Brute is now approaching the magic level 50 and its time to start planning IO's.
Now this is the first time i have used MIDS, but hopefully everything is fine.
I have had a crack at IO'ing him...fairly cheaply anyway and all advice would be appreciated.

Mental I have very little experience with. Like the Psi primary, though, you have the issue of a heavily resisted damage type.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think you are confused, Psy is one of the least resisted dmg types. It is only HIGHLY resisted when you fight other Psy types (i.e. Carnie)

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure....late game it is frequently resisted....and when it is resisted its resisted hard. Remember most bots resist it and there are allot of enemy groups with bots in them. Also didn't someone do a resistance chart where Psy came out second for most resisted?

Edit: Just reread it and Psy was second on average resistance....so i guess that takes into account the very high resistance of those that do resist it.

    1 2 3 4 5

Number 5 reminds me of someone.....im not quite sure who.....
  10. My first and main toon i rolled in issue 2, and im 3 bars of 50 now! So a long time!

I don't see a compelling reason for hiding previous side badges. They're not going to rename Assassination Strikes to Heroic Strikes or call Stalkers Hunters or anything like that, so I don't think they'll be troubled by Villains using Heroic sounding badges or vice versa.

I could be wrong, obviously, but it's highly unlikely.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wait didn't they give all the badges names for both sides anyway? I don't know for sure but on badgewhore all badges have two names...don't know where they got their information but it could be in preparation from this.

I have Captain Slippery, but you're never going to get that either

    [/ QUOTE ]

I will trade Captain Sticky for it?
*Runs off to make Captain Sticky*

  15. Ahhh what a cool thread!!
I cant think of any other names i want though other than Captain Awesome....and im never getting that!

All in all you can't just match arch-types by the powers they have but there play style.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That still doesn't make any sence because the play styal of a Stalker is NOTHING like a Blaster. Blasters stand back and attack from a distance. Stalkers get right up close, assassin strike, run away till hide comes back and do it again.

Hell the play styal of a stalker really isn't equill to ANYTHING. I really hate them personally because of the whole run away and hide thing. They just can't stay alive verry long otherwise. Even with regen I was dieing shortly after my assassin strike.

Anyway, moving on the play styal of a Tanker is NOTHING like a Mastermind. I have 5 Masterminds, I love Masterminds but again, I hate Tankers. Tanks, all I do is stand there and taunt. It's rather boring to play a tanker. I can't do much else without looseing all my end and haveing my toggles drop. Mastermind, get pets out then once I have them out from there Playing my Zombie/Dark MM is exactly like playing my DDD just with zombies following me.

Now Brutes and Scrappers, yes the play styal on them is VERRY simular. Like I said before I have DB/WP Brute and Scrapper and they both have the exact same powers, I play them both the same but the Brute can take ALOT more DMG than my Scrapper can. My Brute goes through mobs alot faster because of fury and sence I'm trying to keep furry up as much as possible he doesn't stop to rest as much as the scrapper who just does random criticals. The Scrapper I stop to regain health and end between mobs as needed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't think its the play style that is important but more the role they play, a masterminds keep aggro like tanks, Stalkers do High damage like blasters etc.
Personally i think direct comparisons shouldn't be made, but if they are then it should be more on the roles each AT plays.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
They could always make things equitable by cloning the PPPs, and have them handed out by signature heroes. Different FX, since it's Manticore and Positron teaching you neat tricks now, but functionally the same as Mako and Black Scorpion.

It means a lot more animations will need to be made, but I think it's okay to suggest things that are a lot of work for a retail expansion.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or they could just make Praetorian counterparts of the patrons.......are there versions? I don't know much of the Praetorian world.
  18. Ever since a server crash i have had a few strange things happen.
For one, i can now not select the Kheldians AT, i already have a Warshade and a Peacebringer and am able to play as them, but i cant create a new Kheld.
The other strange thing was as soon as i logged on after the server crash i was awarded the Pocket D badges + Powers, these are from the Good Vs Evil pack i believe....i do not have this so should not have these powers right?

Anyone else experience anything like this?
  19. [ QUOTE ]
    Purely speculative comment.

It would seem that villainous (former) heroes would be giving up their ancillary/epic power pool and qualify for patron powers. Likewise, villains would be giving up their patrons and now be able to select ancillary/epic powers once they became heroic. It follows reason that no patron would be willing to help a former villain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But don't the Patrons teach you that power? They give you the means to cast that power...surely they couldn't un-teach you something?
  20. Loved this event so much...kinda glad it only lasted 10 hours...made it more epic =]

Finally got to fight Ghost widow and Lord R at the same time and just before beating them...server crash!! was gutted! i also last a badge i earned 10 mins before due to server crash...the Kronos Titan one....anything like this happen to anyone else?
  21. Whats happening on test? Worth going there?
  22. =[ Have i missed something? Nothing seems to be happening at all on Champion....
  23. Please Fight against mine...i have one lost to people with nets....and bears Lol
    Though only level 2 =]
