Drop xray and slide stuff up on that til you fit soothing aura in. Hecta proc in brawl is straigh pimp **** though.

Those power selections are dead on with what I would take as well. Aim for +rech +hp and +kb. I offer a piece of advice, don't slot any hold procs. Even though you will rarely be attacking in an 8v8 you don't want to mess with the mez suppression of the spike. Most of the time a blaster or dom will be leading with a pbed stun and you don't want to accidentally proc before they get going and ruin a kill.
Also shortening mez duration is very underrated. You can definitely tell the difference on a squishy once the stuns come into play. Keeping em/cm on people can be huge. -
Imo its really nice to transfer one toon on each side just to bring loot and money to get you going. With even a small bank roll you can have a base filled with the good cheap stuff that you will use lots of, like devas and kb ios. And its extremely nice to just pop in and grab something anytime you need it. I actually transferred farm toons instead of pvpers though when I first came over in i10, and that worked very well for me.

I should really acco my pd and emp, but I am far to lazy and emo for that to ever happen.
It is really nice to see someone trying to get pvp up and running and this seems like a great time with all the people moving to freedom. If we keep getting bodies you may even be able to get a ladder or league going. And about the time its in full swing the next set of pvp 'tweaks' should be coming. Man they have made me a pessimist.
I wish you guys well and if you need anything that I can offer, which I am aware is not much, just ask. -
Got to love i13 was all about getting us away from telling people to reroll and such and now we are right back in the same place again.

Invul first followed by fire. Take ss as your primary. Get webnades, taunt and phase. Go forth and create hate.

Set mids to export to php/zeta. If someone post the wrong version you can still open it by hitting the click this link part. Reposting the build. All I can really comment on it is that it is not a build I would ever use.

Not sure who started that integration is not needed thing, but every time I kb a scrapper it does make me smile.
-
Pure damage, a dom. The down side is the survivability is a lot lower than a corr. Corr's may ahve lower damage but they have lots of other stuff to help you live longer. So it basically comes down to playstyle. Doms require alot more thought and effort to play well, they also pretty much require the accolades and a decent io build to go. There are some corrs you can drop some kb ios and sos in and be good to go.
I have long preferred the dom playstlye but I am fully aware it is not for everyone. -
rad blast/ and pain dom or therm. Cheap to build and effective to play. Therms annoy anyone all the time and a well built well played pain dom is pretty much impossible to kill.
-
The only way this dies is if they delete it. I will never let it drift to far away.
-
-
Yeah they took the heal back away from pa early on because ill/* were just wrecking **** all over the place on test when i13 came in. Spectral wounds still does but its not near as bad as pas, you were literally at the heal decay cap in seconds after it started healing back.
If doms ever get ill I would so roll one. Confuse + placate proc and a secondary that could thump out some damage and pa on top. They would probably be top tier dueling builds the second we could roll them. -
This on freedom solo? If so hit me up.
-
That build is pretty nice. You may have a little to much +rech. And pain dom is pretty end intensive. You are going to want a smidge more kb protection. Get a deva chance to hold in blast or flares. Most people seem to put it in flares. Seeing you are a pain dom you don't need to slot alot of tohit in aim or the kismet you have. Unslotted aim will slam against the dr cap by itself. It still could probably use some work but I poked at it some and came up with this, not a ton of changes off your build so it should be close to what you are looking for.
Edit: global recharge is way overrated in dr pvp. Anything between 30-50 is plenty, in particular if you run hasten.

Quote:Ok so I've been thinking about making a Bane for pvp, even after veat dmg nerf and elusitivity, I wanna have a PB and bane (matching EATS) for pvp.
Looking at the build, I want Leaping, Fitness, Leadership (double assault ftw?), phase, and aidself. I'm willing to cut out SS especially if I have mental training and swift.
Anyone have decent builds? I want mace beam, poisonous ray, shatter, placate, shatter armor, web coccoon, surveillence, and probably Mace Blast from the patron to get SHatter Armor.
Anyone have any suggestions or builds or advise on what to build for?
(I've pvp'd on an SO'd bane before in i13, so I know most of the combat strategies.)
If you go to make this toon on freedom skipping superspeed is not really an option. I will throw a good word in for the fighting pool on a veat. It might sound crazy but it really can help. If its mostly for zones just carry greens and use the temp phase as needed.
As far as patrons go I would probably just grab trow fishy and call it good. Make sure to pump your ranged defense as high as possible. Even in dr world a well built bane is tough as hell to hit.
And an honorable mention to going for a straight ****** build. Hatter used to have his in rv alot with tp+fly. He would fly around, nade stuff and tp it into the pools. It was a pretty annoying toon. Not sure if you like to play that way, but it really is effective if that floats your boat. -
Quote:My comp is more than capable to handle it and my connection is the best available. I was unaware that they fixed there server issues with freedom. but that wont' have any effect on the crouded maps everywhere. I simply won't play on freedom, the constant harassment forces people to go into hide leaving them unable to get invited to good teams...my point will always stay the same NO to FREEDOM, yes to improved GUARDIAN population, you could merg 2 slow servers into guardian and not have the crouded maps that exist on freedom! and again if merging doesn't work there must be something that can be done regarding pvp zones involving other servers... but i WILL NOT concider FREEDOM as an option!
Your lose, enjoy standing in empty pvp zones. -
I am almost thinking you would need to pair it with a loose secondary becuase you need slots for powers plus the extra pick of power push. I tried for awhile today to come up with a decent nrg/pd build and just can't get it were I would like it. I did poke around at some other stuff and I think a nrg/cold may have some potential. Wish I had thought to give it a try when they still had free 50s.
-
There are actually a few people who play exclusively on buffers on freedom. Its pretty nice. Elistan is almost always emping hero side and mac is a mfing beast on his therm and emp and those are the only toons I ever see him pvp on.
-
Quote:I think im going to roll a Energy/PD corrupter very soon. Those procs are going to be beastly.
I actually got to looking at a respec for mine after this thread. Its a tight fricking build. Its almost looking like I would need to go with only 2 blast to get everything else in. Going to keep messing with it though. -
ice ea and try to only use jack and shiver from your primary. Well I guess aa to but the rest of the crap will mess up the juicy sweetness that is the stuns and kb of ea.
-
Ill has some good burst potential. It can slot the placate proc and has confuse. These are some of the best things in pvp atm. While you can probably make a better toon it will do you just fine. If my second account was still active my ill rad would be a toon I would actually consider bringing to freedom.
