A well built shield scrapper is fine for zones. The dm part is a little worse, but if you actually hit something it usually hurts them alot. And as for the running part, its one of if not the main reason scrappers are so popular nowadays. Thanks to ss pretty much 100% canceling out movement slows a scrapper willing to run can almost always find safety before death.
-
Assuming this is for zones. Any well built scrapper that isn't afraid to run is workable in zones. None are as survivable as regin but all of them can preform well.
I want to add that the sr is gimp stuff gets pretty old, defense as it was was op. Anyone who doesn't want to admit it is living in a dream world. A well built sr can pretty much run around zones as it sees fit because defense does work, in particular if built and played properly. -
Quote:Your full of it, your worthless to the community, you don't every respond to anything with a normal response, and you do nothing good for the game. You are just a Cyber Bully someone should tell your teacher. LOL respond if you want but I'm done with you.
I am one of the most helpful posters in this section of the forums. I don't resort to name calling. Pulling at my post count is hilarious seeing if you actually checked any post of mine you will find almost no filler. On top of that everyone pretty much knows that calling on someone's post count is pretty much pointing out you have nothing of any substance to counter said person with. On top of that you resort to name calling another very sophmorish past time.
I am not bullying you in anyway. I am pointing out that your opinions are based on a onesided experience for you. It seems though, sadly, that you enjoy seeing the world your way and only your way. I get it.
You think it sucks that some horrible zone stalker gets away before you kill him every time, and you need to post about it on the forums. Do you know how many post we would have in this section if everytime someone did something 'lame' 'cheap' or even 'exploitive' everyone around posted about it. Back in the age of Darth Ronin there was literally a thread of tear droppers like you every day or so. Because instead of either getting over it or getting around it all you can do is cry until you get treated fair and just. I zone pvp probably more than anyone left in this game. I see stuff all the time that kinda makes me roll my eyes, and I promise you have never seen a single post from me about any of them. And you never will.
grabbing a quote for the next one.
Quote:So if i don't play an AT but fight one everyday I cant have an opinion? I'm sorry once again it must be your way or nothing. You still have failed to show me or anyone where I said it needs nerfed or it wasn't working as intended.
You can have an opinion without playing the at. Just don't expect any who actually has played it to think your opinion is worth a thing. I can form opinions about stuff I don't know about all day, it doesn't mean anyone should really care about it. Thanks for sharing your opinion. We read it. We get what you are saying. We also get you are pretty clueless and like to whine alot when things don't go your way. I hope things get better for you.
On a more serious note. Nice post rei. I keep forgetting about veat kb protection when I rattle off bugs that are loooooooong past due to be dealt with. Seriously can a brother get some pvp bug fixes in this place or what? -
Quote:Saying "its not right" does not mean complaining nor does it mean "not working at intended". I'm glad you took the time to break it down for me son, I had no idea that's how I felt. Next I post something I'm going to PM it to you first so you can proof read it, check the grammar, and make sure no one can throw a spin on world to try and make themselves look intelligent before I hit submit. How does that sound? I wouldn't want people to read between the lines or have a chance to flame me on a video game board.
There were multiple other point I made. Obviously you either don't care to get or just won't ever get either way. Keep coming back and I will keep doing what I do. glhf. -
Quote:No sir its not. I wondered how it was done. Because I don't think its right doesn't mean I think it should be nerfed, or not allowed or anything like that. You assume I was complaining so I must have been. That's the way it works with a lot of folks in the pvp forum. Because someone says something or comments on the way something works the cri, kry, cry, QQ kids come out. How many times have you watched a funny prank video and followed it up with a OMG "thats not right" or OMG "thats so wrong" i bet many many time.
Don't assume it makes you look ignorant.
BTW thanks Mac Skull for answering the question.
I will go slow for you cause you seem a little simple. When you ask a question you end the the sentence the a question mark. It looks like this ? just so you know. When you make a statement, like you did about your feelings toward your question you end it with a period. It looks like this . just so you know. We still on a the same page? Then lets continue.
Quote:Tell me this why can a stalker hid while in hibernation?
Moving on.
Quote:That just not right.
Now lets cover what I was replying to earlier, which had nothing to do with either of these.
Quote:I don't play stalkers.
I like the part where you try to redirect like you didn't mean what you said and I should have assumed you meant it different in the same post you tell me not to assume. Clever.
Also lets grab one more of your gems.
Quote:Wasn't complaining i asked a question that's all. I don't play stalkers. They could always do what "Miziron" does when he is on his stalker "Thorn-Viper" or his corr "Miziron". Tp's himself out of harms way the second he gets hit. He uses his alt "Not N Ice" and 2 boxes it. LOL LAME
One small piece of advice. Before you ever hit submit reply ever again. Read what you wrote and make sure its what you really wanted to say. At least then when you get shredded in public you can at least think you did the right thing. Instead of backpedaling and double talking and looking like a dipstick. Which is what you are currently doing.
Thanks for playing, have a good day. -

lollolollllol colds need a buff.

Your hp came out nice but I am not sure about overall. You are lacking a bit for kb protection. Its I really like slotting purples in wormhole, 5 pieces plus 1 endo hami. Your travels are underslotted. Build up could use some set ios. I would slot gravity distortion for more damage and more procs. If you can find the cash get some pvpos and/or purples in t strike. And my last thing is more preference based I am not a fan of pff unless its for dedicated arena or your in game bff is a buffer who plays the same time as you.
This is about the build I use on live. Its a zone only toon so the build isn't quite what I would recommend if you plan on doing any arena.

And tanks, and therms, and really bad brutes.
Everyone knows that there is a melee imbalance atm. They dumbed down playing in pvp so bad that if you have a couple brain cells that can fire together its pretty much impossible to die on a melee toon. People will almost always play to the path of least resistance. Lets be honest, which one is someone going to play a low hp troller that needs ioing, accos and skill to live on or a regin? If you are red side which do you think they will play a dom or corr that is low hp and can be seen or a stalker they can afk and rp on while in zones?
The good news is that you don't really need to worry about scrappers in zones. If you are competent and not afraid to team they are very little challenge with almost no fear of them killing you. As far as stalkers, there are only a handful of decent ones in this game so as long as you are willing to team they are very little to worry about as well.
I am not sure if you know or not so I will toss you a heads up, you stand still way to much in zone and need to work on breaking los more. You can do a lot to negate even the best of stalkers by working on those. And if you do and they still get you, its really okay to tip your cap and say gg instead of raging. -
Even devron rolled a blaster that he plays now, jussayin.

you sir have made my day. 100% win.

Subdual > blaze. Easier to proc, and you can trow it while mezzed.

[QUOTE=Dahjee;2732529]This is not a competitive sport... it's a competitive game./QUOTE]
Competitive is as competitive does. Way to agree with me.
Quote:I don't know about build up..but I swear I see a move that looks like "Siphon Power" in that video. If it gets a self-buffing powers like that or a crazy (self-only) clone of fulcrum shift..I won't miss build up. I like new things and sets that break the old modes...this looks like it may do that.
Dark melee is good in pve to. Sadly this is the pvp forums, thanks for playing. -
Quote:I <3 people knockin dual pistols down. I have one i pvp with and with a couple bill slotted its fun. To me at least. What sets dual pistols aside from other sets is the ability to swap ammo.Believe me it comes in handy
Fun =/= good. Having fun with it is one thing, its still trash. -
Quote:How does everyone think GR will affect PvP?
My predictions:
Super Reflexes will become obsolete even in casual zone play. Right now, only Heroes get Blasters with their Aim+Buildup, so you can kinda get away with SR in zones right now on blueside. Once Aim+Buildup is coming at you from all sides, baring giving SR its Elusivity back, the set is done even in casual zone play.
Brutes are done. Right now Brutes get some work in PvP because they make great fodder, and those who get distracted and attack the Brutes get hammered by Stalkers and other Villain damagers. But why roll a Brute when you can roll a Tanker instead and get lots more survivability on top of what is effectively the same damage? In theory Brutes can get a damage boost from Fury putting them well beyond Tanker levels, but in practice this rarely happens in PvP. Brutes are done in PvP with GR.
Dr will still cap tohit, so a well built well played defense toon will still be fine. And they never took its elusivty away, they just lowered it. And it was needed.
Brutes will still be better than tanks at what they do, at least until tanks get web nades. And I wouldn't count on fossilize making it through gr without getting lowered.
As for my actual predictions, lots of lazy zone players will make stalkers for both sides. Lots of smart pvpers will make sure they get farmed. Other than that it will pretty much be status quo. -
Bad convention. Move along, nothing to see here.

Quote:You should learn. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.
is that I don't use words like good and bad.
Quote:Teleport is bad for PvP you say... perhaps... Teleport/Hover is viable in a zone though.
Quote:Go Figure. Like the fact that you say traps are bad because they lack mobility...
Quote:Am I too respect the opinions of those who can only list FoTM sets but cannot tell me how to make my ??/?? snowflake specialist build work?
I can't speak for everyone who blast on you, but me and barrier probably play more snowflake builds than anyone else in game. Sure we have fotms to but you will seldom see either of us on them.
Quote:Are we waiting on Mids to tell us how to get good defense in PvP? a few question that will go unanswed of course, but my point overall is that I don't come here with advice...
If you actually read around here you would have seen a post by Steatoda breaking down exactly how good defense is in pvp. And anyone who thinks its garbage is as clueless about pvp as you.
Quote:My only wrong it seems is coming here with an open mind about PvP. -
Quote:I know for a fact that the Jump Pack being affected by NoPhase is unintended. I would assume the base teleport is in the same boat, but I don't have confirmation on it.
Know how? Because I promise you its an exploit fix that they were full aware of. Its the reason why there was never a patch note on it. -

You could bypass phase supression. Thats all I will say.
