Black Scorpion has taunt, and yes it is just for show.

The patrons themselves. Just switch to the villain side (if you arn't a villain already), talk to Arbiter Rein (right outside the large tower), do his mission, then choose your patron. After you complete the first arc you'll get a free respec and access to all four patrons' patron power pools (wow say that five times fast).

Villain Tip: Guilt-stained trail of blood.
It is by no means hard...it is just one of the very few missions that sends shivers up my spine. -
Both iirc.
When you summon him the proc has a chance at procing on you.
When he attacks (with attacks that do knockback:Stone Mallet) the proc has a chance at procing on him.
Just so it's clear:- the only time the proc has a chance of affecting you is when he is summoned
- pets are unaffected by any + or - recharge
If all you want is the +fly speed and the above doesn't bother you, have at it! -
Ok so we more or less know that the problem lies with:
Pets summoning pets- Protector Bots > Seeker Drones
- Phantasm > Decoy Phantasm
Pseudo Pets Summoning Pets- Carrion Creep > Carrion Creepers
- Any Demon + Hell On Earth > Living Hellfire (?)
What about:
Pets summoning Pseudo Pets- Summon Guardian > Voltaic Sentinel
- Gremlins > Jolting Chain
or Pseudo pets summoning Pseudo Pets?- Volcanic Gasses > Voltaic Geyser (I think)
These are only examples, I will update the list soon to include all the powers that fall into the different categories to my knowledge. -
Possible? Yes. Will it happen? No.
My personal opinion is that NoPhase should be removed. Ice Armor is still one of my favorite sets, however it is unplayable to me. The survivability reduction (The random number generator can hate you twice in less than 90 seconds whether or not you're a seasoned player with a good build) is something that I got over, but not knowing when Hibernate recharges drives me incredibly insane!
P.S. Just ignore je_saist. It (He? She?) doesn't know what it's talking about. -
Quote:I don't think Power Boost is any worse for Masterminds than Blasters. Aside from strengthening the already large to hit bonus of Aim, many primary sets get very little of a benefit (Fire/Archery/Energy, and arguably AR/Psi/Sonic).Correct. However, the effects for every power (primary AND secondary) get boosted for any other AT with access to this power (Blasters, Controllers, Defenders, Dominators, Corruptors) while Masterminds only get our Secondary powers boosted (as, let's face it our attack powers in the primary are balanced to be dire vs. the henchmen attack powers - and rightly so).
Corruptors have that same problem; however the reason is because Power Boost is designed to strengthen secondary effects, not damage itself. Only Controllers have both a Primary and Secondary which are both designed to (most of the time) benefit from Power Boost. All other Archetypes, including Masterminds, must deal with the fact that Power Boost will only greatly (varies by power set) enhance one power set.
Masterminds just don't come with a couple visible exceptions to that rule like Blasters with Radiation Blast, or Corruptors with Dark Blast. Something that I believe just has to be accepted.
Your other points about Frenzy and Invention sets I completely agree with however. I just have no idea how they would change invention sets that wouldn't horribly break something somewhere (though I hope they try).

Quote:I was tossing this idea around one day as well, however I was seeing how much I could get from set bonuses alone. I was able to attain 176.25%.This got me wondering, what is the most recharge you can cram into a build?? (No outside buffs or secondary mutation or recharge empowerment, etc. Also the +recharge KB proc doesn't count)
While I wouldn't say this build (Ice Blast/Dark Miasma Corruptor) is unplayable...I'd never play it.

Question: Was it approximately 20 million in error?
-
Unfortunately I ended the mission before I was able to get the name of it, but I am continuing to do Villain missions and if I come across it again I will post it here.
-
I have been doing alignment missions with my Tank the last couple days in order to get him villain epics. One of the Villain missions (While I am a Vigilante) was interesting to say the least.
Mission Spoiler
So when I found him, I lead him to the spirits of the people he has been unintentionally killing when he thought he was playing with them? And how old is he? And what is with the smiling thing?
*In the mission his character is called Neville Hanks, but the bookcase with his diary refers to him as Hank Neville.
End Spoiler
I don't typically read every detail in the game, however I was really trying to follow what was going on in that mission and I completely failed. I have never before ended a mission with that particular combination of confusion and pity. -
Quote:^This^Fortitude gives just as much defense as FF bubbles(Not counting Dispersion Bubble). It also gives a damage buff and a hefty ToHit buff. A great Empath can keep up to 6 teammates Forted at all times, and healing takes a backseat. Looking at the powerset may not reflect that, but Empathy really shines when the Empath focuses on buffs first and healing second(and don't forget to blast too, Empaths can also kill stuff(soloed Lady Winter today)).
I'm of the opinion that a high recharge Empathy Build is the best buffer, but it's a build that really keeps you on your toes, however there are a few play style drawbacks, that some people will find quite irritating:
- Click Heavy
You hear those Kinetics talking about how annoying it is to Speed Boost people every 120 seconds? Well us Empaths have to apply Fortitude every 15-20 seconds! - Time Constrained
If you wait too long, forget to buff, or get stunned when you need to buff someone is going to be without Fortitude, or everyone's will wear off a few seconds before you can reapply it (or longer depending on how long you missed your buffing window). - Action Dependent
Again with the Kinetics analogies? You know how they complain about people who wander away from them when they buff (or in our case, going AFK too)? The same thing happens with Fortitude, only you can't just ignore them and buff them when they get closer, you either have to skip them until you get around to them again in the cycle, or try and find them thereby risking going back to the Time Constrained problem.
Even with all that I still find Empathy to be my favorite. It combines the high survivability buffs of Force Fields with the active feel of Kinetics for an all-around fun feel for me with the added bonus of other scrumptious heals and buffs that are either perma or up more than down!
That said, the Sonic/Sonic that you want to try will also do wonderfully in teams. As it has been pointed out before defense is everywhere in IOs, but there is not a lot of pickings when it comes to Resistance. You won't be adding as much survivability to non-IOed teams, but the offense you are bringing to the table in the form of -Resistance means those baddies will only live to fire off a couple attacks which your resistance shields will more than deal with. Just find something you love playing and stick with it! - Click Heavy

I'll echo what others have said that you should bug it, though I have stated in this thread a few posts down how I feel about that.
Quote:Actually phase powers can be used in that exact way (Phase -> Hibernate -> Ethereal Shift) back to back. NoPhase allows you thirty seconds of a free-for-all phase activation period where you can activate any phase power at your disposal followed by 90 seconds of blocked out powers and nonphased time.Ummm... not quite.
Hibernate and Phase Powers can't be used one after another. The "no phase" period refers to the time after you use such a power, and during that time no other such powers can be used. You can't Phase -> Hibernate -> Ethereal Shift. You have to wait 90 seconds in between each power. -
Quote:Why not?
Why?
[Rant] NoPhase makes no sense in the first place, why start trying to apply logic to it now? [/Rant]
...but yes, Sleet on the NoPhase timer is quite annoying, and should be fixed however understand this:
The Jump Pack is also bugged in that it is suppressed by NoPhase as well. The devs have known this is not working as intended for a while and haven't fixed it, so I wouldn't bet on it getting fixed anytime soon. -
I didn't know how frightening young adult drivers could be until I started working at a college.
There is a certain intersection which is horrific. Coming right off of the main city street, a road runs right through the area used by the college. This street separates parking lot 1 and 2 from 3 and 4 has no stop signs. It always has the right-of-way unless pedestrians are crossing. The street intersecting it which takes you from the parking lots closer to the college to the parking lots on the other side of the road...I've nicknamed maniac drive.
About ten minutes before classes begin the traffic in that area starts to get pretty heavy, and it never ceases to amaze me how selfish those drivers seem to be. During the time I have spent there I have seen a pattern.
The college kids seem to enter and speed through the closer parking lots (a whole different rant altogether) only to find that there are no more parking space to be had, which is quite typical during the noon hours. From there they pull into maniac drive to try and cross over to the other parking lots. That annoys me (After the first few days of trying to find a parking spot and failing...you'd think they would go to the farther parking lots first) however I realize that on some days they would get lucky. It's what they do next that makes me rue the day I started working there.
The 'smart people' who go directly to the farther parking lots, and the non-college traffic, keep the main road flooded to the point where the people in maniac drive are pretty much stuck. After a while though, they somehow inherit the right-of-way. I don't know if it's the "I've been sitting here for 30 seconds" or "My class starts in five minutes" or "People should realize they need to let us out" mentality or some combination of the three that somehow 'grants' them the right of way to pull out, but it scares the heck out of the rest of us.
People crossing the street? Hey they have legs, they can jump or fit under my car.
Other cars crossing in front of me? Too bad, I want to be on the other side of the street.
Thank goodness the college started paying a bus company to bus people from one side of the street to the other. If they hadn't I know I would have been run over by now. -
Actually I think the animation can be described as being replaced by the Power Thrust or Telekinetic Blast animation.
That being said, I don't think it's a bug. While I haven't used it myself I hear that Enforced Morale has also been changed to this animation. I believe the animation change was to get rid of the horrendously annoying waiting period after using those powers. -
Good luck with what you are going through St0n3y. As someone who has probably logged more hours on the Hero Builder than in game, I sincerely thank you for the convenience you and others such as, Mid's, Fleeting Whisper, and Steiner (iirc) have given me as well as everyone else that uses Mid's.
-
If it hasen't already been said, which I am sure it has but I don't have time to read the entirety of the thread at the moment, bring back Energy Transfer's old animation. Add 1.67 seconds of 'inaction' time (I forget if it is cast time, or activation time...) to bring it in line with the current stats.
This allows:
a) The return of the animation I have never gotten over loosing.
b) The damage to happen at the very begining of the animation. (Which I am praying is technically feasable) -
Quote:It is my understanding that the NPCs have a type of 'hit-list' if you will. Even if a player has 17 NPCs after him/her (those 17 NPCs have that player at the top of their hit-list) the other agroed NPCs, who now have no one to attack, don't suddenly put an invisible player (someone who has not generated any threat/attention) on their hit-list.I've noticed it on larger teams, I assume it's when the first player hits their aggro cap.
Anecdote:
I often farm in a duo where one character is an invisible buffer. Even when my partner gets more-than-cap agro, I never get attacked. -
Quote:Unless something has changed fairly recently, agro does not work that way. Aggressive pets will draw you agro though. Perhaps you had a pet summoned that drew you that attention?Forgive me, but disagreement≠misconception, thank you. Try this: one person runs into a group, aggroes them. the rest of the team is invisible, and hangs back. The mob will not just focus on that dude...some will peal off and run to the invisible folk, targeting them. Aggro is shared on teams, regardless of visibility. This is a pet peeve for stalkers especially, but I've seen it on my illusion controller in superior invis as well.

As I recall you can fill up the rest of the spawn points with things like boss groups.
I would fill up all but two of the allowed spawn areas with defeat boss objectives, and make them spawn after clicking a glowie that spawns after the mission is finished. Its not perfect but should work. -

Lord help us if we're told something is going to be fixed in the distant future.
Perhaps I am remembering incorrectly but I thought at some point they said something along the lines of, "Ya it's a bug, but we don't care anymore." -
I logged on to my Fortunata to do a few things when I notice that his Poison Dart didn't look quite right...

Call me crazy, but I don't think I used to bend that way. As I recall my knuckles used to be facing up and my elbow wasn't horrendously contorted. I searched but didn't find anything about this already, has anyone else noticed this?
