Most recharge possible??

I was messing around in Mids a while ago and came up with a build that can provide 231.3% recharge. The build I made was usable but perhaps not ideal, I'll never build it and I like my current Ill/rad build better anyway. Now, this on an ill/rad so it gets the added bonus of AM but there are other powers in the game that give additional recharge as well.
This got me wondering, what is the most recharge you can cram into a build?? (No outside buffs or secondary mutation or recharge empowerment, etc. Also the +recharge KB proc doesn't count)
Anyone have a stalker with 250% recharge? An emp with 275%?

I'll toss up the mids chunk for s**ts and giggles.

I did my best and came up with 252% recharge. I used Plant/Kin for Mids, but I've never played either set myself. I'm not even sure if this build is viable (perma-Sleep, damage cap, two pets always out, so I don't see why not...), but I just went for the one criterion of pumping as much +recharge as possible.

Most of the powers aren't even really slotted for recharge and are still close to the recharge cap.

I would go (if I *ever* actually played this build) for Nerve Core, working up to (when we eventually get it) Radial Paragon for Alpha ability since some powers are underslotted for accuracy (+70% global acc, so might not be needed, but still... it doesn't really need anything else...)

Wow! Thats pretty sick! I hadn't thought of using Siphion Speed. That build looks pretty usable to me. HA! Hasten is down to 103 seconds on only 2 IOs, nice job!

Only thing is you're JUST shy of perma-hasten with hasten one-slotted. As such, the high recharge level isn't perma. Steal a slot from someplace and two-slot Hasten.

The only problem is that he has to KEEP re-casting Siphon Speed every 60 seconds.

Your build, from a sustainability standpoint, is more effective.

DAM! Did u make that just to see how much recharge you could get or is that a real build? That is insane! Its amazing how much end recovery you got with no +end mod in stamina, all those recover bunuses really add up! Cool build

I was tossing this idea around one day as well, however I was seeing how much I could get from set bonuses alone. I was able to attain 176.25%.

While I wouldn't say this build (Ice Blast/Dark Miasma Corruptor) is unplayable...I'd never play it.

If we're allowed to triple stack Siphon Speed, then this Mind/Kinetics Controller build has 268% Recharge. I could do a lot better I think if I made the build unplayable. What sets this build apart to me though is benefits a lot from having so much recharge. Would you like your Mass Confusion served every 52 seconds? I'm sure other combos could hit higher numbers, but I'm not sure how many would benefit from it like this one does.

Kept playing with the Mind/Kin and found a way to hit 276 global recharge while coming very close to soft capping Slash/Lethal (enough that I'd let it slide). The sacrifice is stealth ability and Siphon Power. In real life I'd let the recharge drop just a little and buy back super speed somewhere but the point of this challenge was a bit different .

And here is the highest I could hit in an hour or so of plugging at it: 297% Recharge on a TERRIBLE Elec/Kinetics Controller build with x3 stacked Siphon Speed. Hasten is perma with 1 recharge IO even without Siphon. It may be possible to squeeze a little more recharge in some other build, but this one is probably close to to the top given that it uses 5 purples, 5 LotGs, 5 +7.5%, 5 +6.5s, and 2 +5s.

Like I said though this build is terrible. Just looking at it might make you sterile. Read with caution.

Ya it's true: I once had a rad/kin corr who tried to stack Siphon Speed. Obviously this is purely perception, but it seemed to me that the probability of hitting SS a second time given that you've hit the last time is like 30% or something

Also, given the recharge/cast times, my build only sustains its top recharge given that there's always an enemy around and SS is already queued up when it recharges (and it hits)

Impressive numbers, but when you're talking 150%+ recharge I usually find it's not how high it gets, it's which sets it's with.

You must not be trying very hard. My Kin/Ice defender typically alternates between double-stacked and triple-stacked Siphon Speed when solo.

Does that actually work? I wasn't sure since Mids will only let you triple stack it. Boxing recharging in .5 seconds is ubes.

Hmm, only 232.5% on a claws/regen scrapper. This is probably a very playable build. Not sure I'd want to foot the bill for it though.

I know it's an academic discussion, and for that I love it, but it's worth pointing out that after a while you're no longer held back by the recharge time of a power...but by the animation time of it.

Thats a good point, Dumpleberry. If we're being honest though there are alot of reasons most of these builds arn't realistic. Getting this kind of insane recharge is a fun game but, in a real build, the cost vs gains just arn't realistic unless you truley have more loot than you know what to do with. The cost to attain the last 20% recharge in some of these builds would probably be enough to fully set out a whole nother toon.

The only problem is you're not taking into account the number of slots required.

Now the LOTGs are single-slot.
But the purples require 5 slots. As do most, if not all the 6.25 and 5% recharges.

Looking at All Hell's post, it makes me think, knock off 32.5 for the 3.75s and 2.5s as they wouldn't be worth the slot investment, but that leaves you 179.5... You need defense debuffs and holds to pull that off, and having radiation emission would be useful... This is a quick trial, but with Dark Blast/Rad corrupter you can put together an expensive but playable 265% recharge toon...

Alright, might not have enough attack power, but the debuffs look good...
