Don't complain about good bugs
[/ QUOTE ]I'd be a hypocrite if I only ever brought up "bad" bugs, or "good" bugs of ATs/Powersets I don't even play, wouldn't I? -
Shifting out of Dwarf form on a Kheldian with a power (such as Hasten) set to automatically fire, when recharged, will allow them to use the power even with mez effects on them as they shift out, before the mez hits the now-human-form Kheldian.
In case that sounded incomprehensible:
1) Hasten is set to auto (ctrl+click, green circle) and is recharged
2) Enemy uses mez power
3) Dwarf form is active, mez doesn't affect player
4) Detoggle Dwarf form
5) Hasten is used
6) Player is mezzed
I'm assuming this is not working as intended. You can't use non-form powers in forms, and you can't use -any- powers when mezzed, so this little window of opportunity through abusing the autofire function should not be there. -
ITF is fine.
Posi is too long, but it used to be two seperate TFs which were baked together sometime before it was released. -

Longbow DON'T have a crazy splinter faction
[/ QUOTE ] Not counting Yushenko's band of Longbow on Nerva, unbeknownst to the rest of Longbow.
[ QUOTE ]
I've not seen that! (Wyvern and Longbow working together)
[/ QUOTE ]You've never been to Nerva Archipelago and heard the Longbow and Wyvern NPCs talking to eachother? -
Well, trenchcoat tails are not widow tails, and there's nothing to make the existing NPC widow tails scale properly to larger or smaller characters... and no version of it to snap properly to male or huge body types.
Basically, NPCs are all the same size. And often all the same body type. What looks good on them may often only look good -because- of this. Making it look good on an assortment of various player body types and scales takes work. -
This is how Knockup powers work against all flying foes, as far as I know. Including in PvP - I got Knockout Blown by someone in the arena the other day with hover on and I flew into the ceiling, and stayed there.

I do think thats daft. They already exist as a costume for the NPC Widows, and I see no logic in not giving them to PC Widows....le strange.

[/ QUOTE ]Scaling issues. -
Actually, even if you're not respeccing, doing the arc for one patron unlocks all four pools, even when only getting access to the powers for the first time.

increased debt per defeat, as rewards would only encourage farming.
[/ QUOTE ] Debt is just another badge. -
Lightning Rod has way too long of a recharge to count as anything but a Brute version of a softnuke. Granted, it's "strong and pretty".
Though largely irrelevant when solo, it also suffers from being a pseudopet power in having only* a 400% damage cap. -
I still say Foot Stomp+Rage is broken. The combination of the two, not the individual powers.
-
I'm probably being selfish here, but it's kind of nice to have some badges be more of a chore or obscurity or difficulty to acquire... Kind of a 'look at what I did' thing, which kind of is what badges are actually for.
Like the Weatherman badge villainside, many people don't even know it exists for the red faction. -

alternative to Super Reflexes for players using a Natural Human Origin.

Hmm, the top right corner of St Martial? Need to be high level and preferably a few team mates to make them spawn, like all outdoor bosses.
Get an 8 man team and start "defeating" and you should soon be sorted.
[/ QUOTE ]Those are Marcones. -
Before anyone starts shooting this down for no good reason, additional difficulty options (such as the Ouroboros ones) don't have to provide additional rewards. Just make the game feem like less of a steamroll.

Didn't do that?
Well it is obvious you are not ready for a challenge. Move along now and don't bother us with your complaints anymore.
[/ QUOTE ]Or you could stop throwing a hissy closed-minded fit about what other people think and want. You say "us" as if you represent the playerbase as a whole. Aren't we all high and mighty.
Tip: Optional additions to the game won't bother -you- if -you- don't turn the options on. Nobody's asking for a total difficulty increase, they're asking for more -optional- stuff to do that's actually challenging, like the LRSF or STF.
All this thinly veiled "IOs are evil" talk is just plain stupid. Either you're venting because you suck at making inf and are jealous (like the old "PvP is evil" crowd), or you're just trolling for no real reason.
(Before anyone points fingers, no, I don't have purpled-out 1000 mil inf toons. The post was just plain stupid.)
And if this was meant purely as a joke, my apologies, but it looked too real, considering the kinds of posts we see here every so often. -
Ah, my mistake then. I've always thought VG also spawns one entity per target affected in the AoE.

What i like most with willpower is that it's very non intrusive on your characters appearance.
[/ QUOTE ]What I hate most about Willpower is the horrible pale yellow heartbeat glow, and periodic burst of yellow ripples. -
Honestly, Assault is nowhere near as necessary on MMs as some people think. Since a MM deals damage just like any other toon, only split out between seperate entities, the damage buff isn't really any greater for the MM as a whole than it would be to an individual toon. It does stack nicely with the inherent though. Anyway, it also lets you spam the -other- fun powers in /Storm faster. Doesn't make the set less endurance-hungry, I admit, but it works real well with it anyway. And this is coming from the guy who usually says Hasten is overrated.
Tactics, on the other hand, protects against Confuse. I shouldn't need to say any more about this. And any ToHit for your -2 conning tier 1 pets is great.
I'm just speaking personal opinion here, you realize - but I'm assuming that's what you posted this for. Multiple Lightning Storms are stupidly fun and powerful. -
I love it how people always claim the opposing view is the minority in these debates, with magical invisible statistics on this pulled from their backsides. You do know that the people who post on the forums in general are the real minority compared to those who don't post on (or even read) the forums, right? A forum community is not an entirely accurate representation of the players as a whole, posting on forums implies a deeper interest in the game or other people playing the game, than smashing NPCs.
Personally, I'm all for bringing Super Strength down to a sensible level (drop Foot Stomp from its status of best PBAoE in the game), and as a buff, losing the -defense in Rage so it doesn't penalize defense based armor sets. Not sure what can be done about WP, if it really is OP enough to warrant change. WP just seems the most casual-friendly to me. How to change this, or make the others more casual-friendly without making the game too easy or causing a forum flamestorm from the huge amount of people using Willpower after it's been toned down... I don't know.
But seriously, -something- needs to be done when the odds of a Brute -not- being SS/WP in a pick-up group are relatively small. And we can't just keep buffing everyone else forever, or [insert exaggerated example about oneshotting Hamidon here]. -

skipped snowstorm
[/ QUOTE ]I'd drop Dual Wield and grab Snow Storm anyway, and try to adjust it to my playstyle, if I were you. Gun attacks stop being useful as early as before the 20s, Snow Storm doesn't stop being useful.

lightning clap is [censored]
[/ QUOTE ]Well, they're changing the Bruiser's Hand Clap from Knockback to Knockdown, which means you could stack AoE stun with him if you so wanted. Which would also be more attractive than Thunder Strike, which only stuns the primary target from my experience on my Brute.
Of course, your mileage per power may vary, and MMs are flexible to play.
Also, on a /Storm, I'd try to squeeze Hasten in so you can have multiple Lightning Storms out. Some people with set bonuses and the like even run around with as many as a consistent 3 Lightning Storms out, which is brutal. -

Hey guys just a quick query, im thinking of making a mastermind, robots/forcefield but does personal force field still allow you to control pets when its active?
asked in game but it doesnt seem anyone knows at the minute.
[/ QUOTE ]It does not. "Only Affecting Self" effects work like mez effects in regards to pet commands, disabling them for the duration.
It also suppresses Supremacy, Dispersion Bubble, any Leadership powers, and probably pet aura IOs too.
And if you can't figure out why this is, well... -
The Poison Trap from the Traps powerset (Corruptors and Masterminds) was deemed too powerful and changed from spawning one Hold cloud per entity near it upon activation, to only spawning one cloud, period. I didn't get my own Traps high enough before the nerfbat fell, but I hear it used to be a "proc-nuke" as well, in that each cloud rolled seperate proc checks.
But... Why is it okay for Volcanic Gasses to remain as it is, then? As far as I know (I could always be mistaken), it works about the same way Poison Trap used to work, minus the Vomit check and -regen/-recharge. Couldn't it also be used as a proc-nuke?
Or is it just because it's in a Control primary?
Just curious here, that's all. Not intended to be a nerfherding thread or a Poison Trap whine thread - my Bots/Traps MM was in his 20s or so when it happened, so I've been thinking of it primarily as a -regen power from then on. -
Apparently not, she's coded to use it right after [Rise of the Valkyrie], as far as I know.
