    This + 1 million.

My Facebook account has been closed for some time now - and will remain that way.

    Same with my Google account.
  2. Basically as the thread title says....
  3. I agree.

The revamped DA is really well done and allows people to earn different rewards on the same team.

I do wish this type of system had been put in place from the very beginning - particularly for earning incarnate XP and salvage.

Some of the itrials are good (BAF, Underground) but some are simply horrendous and to be honest poorly designed, like TPN.

Yeah, I think the melee def bonus takes priority here.

I'm undecided about taking the aid self power - or not. I'll be doing a lot of Incarnate content at, so I do anticipate the odd hit getting past the softcap.
  5. I'll rework the build accordingly - thanks.

Evasion has 42% endredux. I think I can up this slightly a bit with LotG

Cobra Strike was originally a minor dam melee attack that stunned, but was changed to high damage/stun a few issues ago I think.

Slotted with a set of Mako's it gives 570 damage.
  6. Good point on the softcap, but I have already unlocked the Alpha on the character and will more than likely be running incarnate content quite often.

The incarnate powers will be particularly useful on this character I think
  7. If I replace the Mako's Bite set in Cobra Strike with a set of Razzle Dazzle, the positional def totals change to the following

    Melee 55.9%
    Ranged 50.9%
    AoE 49.8%

A gain of 2.5% def on melee and AoE with a stun duration increase of 7.5 seconds, versus a drop of 3.8% ranged def and 130 less damage.

I'd be inclined to stick with the Mako set in Cobra strike and see how that goes.
  8. I've amended the build a little.

I've removed 2 slots from Tough and replaced the remaining 3 with a set of Steadfast Protection.

I've then removed the 4 Kinetic Combat and added a set of Touch of Death.

I've moved the Numina +reg/rec to Health.

    The positional def totals are as follows;

    Melee 53.4%
    Ranged 54.7%
    AoE 47.3%

At the moment I can't see a way to get AoE def above 50%, although with Aid Self I have means to recover from any damage that gets through?

  9. Thanks for that.

This is the reason I posted the build

I'm working on a modification right now.

I have a Miracle +recovery in Health right now.

I can add an extra slot into health and put the Numina +regen/+recovery in there as well?
  10. I made this character several years ago and it's been sitting unused for a very long time.

So ... I though I'd blow the cobwebs off and try and see if I can get a good overall build for general use using IO's.

The emphasis is on staying upright and dealing a decent amount of damage.

I looked at other builds on the forum and tried to draw on (what I think will be) the good points of those builds.

I'm looking for any advice on the build before I go ahead and build it.

Have I missed anything obvious or went the wrong way with something etc?

  11. More tips would be good yes, but 'updating' existing arcs is fraught with danger.

You only need to look at the current train wreck that used to be Maria Jenkins excellent arc to see what can go very, very wrong.

A hero's hero used to be my favourite arc, and it was 'updated' in a fashion that made it boring and extremely dull to play.

I see what the OP is saying with updating arcs but it needs to be done with more thought and indeed care than we've seen so far......

I do not have time to grind, grind, grind to get how many ever shards/merits/points to get powers that I do not want in the first place. Casual players do not have a place in this game with this kind of content.

The focus seems to be get to 50 on a toon and grind the **** out of the tf's...BORING....if I wanted a farmer I would make a ss/fire broot.

I do realize some people might like this but really the "end game" the devs have came up with is just a joke. There is little imagination to farming the same tf's over and over to get lackluster abilities.

While others might like to be spoon fed this drivel I do not, I am so very disappointed in the direction this game has taken.

This sums it up for me as well.

The game has changed dramatically - and not in a good way.

I've cut right back on my play time as a direct result of the Incarnate mess.

I always said I'd be here until the servers are switched off, but the fixation on ruining the game with Incarnates has sadly now made that highly unlikely.
  13. A year ago I'd have said I'll be here until shut down day, but now I'm not so sure.

The game has radically changed in the last 12 months.

Normally I take game updates as they come and enjoy them, but these days when I'm playing I have the unsettling feeling that this isn't the CoH that used to love playing.

The problem with the Incarnate trial grinds isn't helping either. I just wish those trials had been designed better in the first place.

The Praetorian angle isn't working for me either. I'd much rather have seen an all new enemy faction created - perhaps a true alien invasion force.

I'll probably take a break from the game and see if that helps out, but to be honest I think that sadly my time is just about done here.
  14. 3 words?

    Needs retconned back

I've read issue 1 and 2 every title and with a couple of exceptions (Animal Man, Batman) the vast majority of titles are either mundane or downright poor.

This is not the DC Universe that I know, and I for one will not be buying into it.

If it's a marketing ploy by DC generate a massive sympathy vote for the return of the 'real' DC Universe (and boosting sales when it happens) then it's great business.

Somehow though, I get the feeling that this isn't the case.........

    Archery Overhaul

I would give a tentative /signed to upgrading the archery set - but not a complete overhaul.

I took an Archer/Ice blaster to 50 and it got to be very tedious - particularly at the later levels. Having the option to swap arrow types in the mode of DP's would certainly not be an issue for me.

Good idea from the OP, who perhaps received some unnecessary comments in this thread.

    The GR concept is great.

It was kicked about for years, with players indicating that they wanted it.

What they wanted was to be able to take a hero and turn it into a villain - and the reverse with villain to hero.

We go that - but they tacked on a load of baggage with Praetoria as well.

IMHO the devs should have just kept Praetoria out of it.

    Dull as dishwater
  18. I've already deleted every toon I made in Praetoria. I found the the whole 'feel' there to be desperately dull and uninspiring.

Praetoria was a good idea which was unfortunately not implemented quite the way it could have been.

I'm hanging on for the game to do something else apart from Preatorian based stuff.

It just leaves me cold, and I wish the whole Praetorian thing could be retconned back to what it was and the original Maria Jenkins arc could be reinstated.

It isn't going to happen, but I can wish anyways
  19. My launcher appears to be dead.

Are the servers up or down?
  20. Probably be a lot of characters with those name attributes, but you can try using this?

    http://www.seventhsanctum.com/genera...perheronameorg
  21. I would favour doing a complete retcon of the game and doing away with the whole Incarnate system ... and starting again.

I believe that it will be harmful in the long run to the longevity of this game, if it's allowed to continue - in its current sorry state.
  22. The Trial Grind is easily the worst thing that has happened to this game.

I can't think of a more effective way to alienate a large section of the playerbase in one go.

ED may rival it but in the long run the Trial Grind just may be the one thing that causes this game's undoing.

    1) I know there will be people upset about loosing globals, I am one of them (and if someone can contact the US @Black Light and @White Knight and ask them to contact me on the forum, it would be fun to compare notes :P), but my real upset is that I will loose for no other reason that I'm playing on the EU servers. I thought I made that clear, but obviously my writing skill is lacking since so many seem to assume that it's just my names I'm upset about. I am upset about that the entier population on the EU servers gets shafted, for no other reason than they are on the EU servers.

    2) I assumed this was a merge of server lists, not a EU gets access to NA servers, so why do so many NA players assume that I/we will come to you, why don't you come to us? I don't use both English speaking servers I have access to, so I why would I want to do more than a bit of touristing on the American servers?

Give me a tell when you create your first alt on Union Lisa and I'll make a new alt and level pact you, and introduce you to all the nice people I know, and give you those welcoming hugs. I'll do that for you, just because you seem friendly. Forum text really suck at conveying sentiment, I just read it and it seem a bit sarcastic, but it's really just friendliness towards someone that seem friendly.
It looks like quite a few NA player have already said that they'll be making alts on the EU servers - in this thread and in others?

I certainly don't feel like the EU players are getting 'shafted'.

    Quite the opposite in fact.
