Quote:This was quite clearly a key complaint of the OP. And now that it's been disproven, the OP claims that it is not really part of his complaint at all and that his dissatisfaction is still valid. The irony is that the OP initially claimed that a bait and switch had happened, but has now pulled a bait and switch of his own.So I have to say I am extremely disapointed and unhappy with Street Justice .
The set is just plain weak... the aoe's are so small as to be meaningless, and a 5 target limit on one and a 10 on the other.
ITs inferior to SS in both single and aoe damage.
The set was changed from the time it came off beta but before live, and did not go back on test.
This feels rather bait and switch, even though it wasnt nerfed live.
To move onto a general point, will we be able to get refunds on sets, powers, etc that we feel disappointed with.
There was no way to view the real stats before purchasing, so again I feel this was a somewhat deceptive.
I am EXTREMELY unhappy with this. -
Quote:This is a point of contention with a lot of people. But it seems that a lot of people missed this tidbit. The set was changed from the time it came off beta but before live, and did not go back on test.
Quote:Just to clarify, nothing has changed on Street Justice since it was removed from beta in late August. -
After a day of coding, it's going to feel really good to dish out some sweet street justice this evening.

Quote:There's also Dictionary.com. It always amazes me when people ask questions on the internet for things that can be so easily looked up.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock-keeping_unit
I know, it's the dreaded Wikipedia but it appears to be right in this case. -

Just checked the actual introduction, and the caption for that particular panel reads: "CAPTAIN: FOR GREAT JUSTICE." C'mon, people! Clearly the key word is "CAPTAIN", and thus we're getting a new pirate-themed costume set tomorrow.

...which is why Paragon Studios' PR department is not entirely to blame when players come in and expect everything to be free. Another part of the equation is that some people with short attention spans will hear what they want to hear and not bother to track down obscure information sources like the City of Heroes website to find things out for themselves.

I've been on Exalted for one main reason: 12 new slots feed my alt-itis. And I haven't noticed any of the elitism that's supposedly there. The only difference I've noticed is that low level zones are more likely to have multiple instances, something which is likely temporary.

I seem to recall the devs saying that Street Justice would drop Very Soon™ after Freedom went live. I guess sometime within the next two weeks would count as Very Soon™. Granted, knowing that the set is done and tested and a lot of fun to play has me chomping at the bit.

They may take our lives*, but they will never take...OUR FREEDOMMMMM!
* Seriously, this game can be quite addicting. -
Next you'll tell me you're a lady from a foreign country who saw my avatar and read my profile, and now you've become enamored with me and can't wait until you can finally meet me so we can begin our lives together. Oh, and you also need my bank account information for reasons that aren't entirely clear.

I was referring to names cited elsewhere in the thread. Kevin I could almost see, especially if it were spelled "Kevyn" or "Kevinne". But Richard strikes me as...decidedly masculine...and if I elaborate I'm sure get hit with the "T for Teen" hammer.
-
There are a number of traditionally male names that have become more popularly used for girls (some almost exclusively) in recent years: Addison, Ainsley, Ariel, Ashley, Blake, Courtney, Elliot, Kelly, Leighton, Leslie, Lindsay, Peyton, Rory, Ryan, Whitney.

Gotta agree with Zwill. Numina is looking quite bewitching in that picture.

None of these will happen precisely because subscribers will complain that free players are getting stuff they aren't and will demand that these options be purchasable in the store.
-
None of the above. Longbow took over all the bathrooms except for one.
-
I have no idea what you people are complaining about. Nothing says, "You're about to enter into an epic gaming experience," more than a picture of the main hero rushing to take down a lowly minion with no personality while there's a look of utter constipation on the hero's face.

I'm approaching four years of playing this game and I still use TOs when leveling a low level character. The amount of swinging (or shooting) and missing I end up doing at levels 6-11 without them just drives me bonkers. And with the markets I'm swimming in inf anyway, so there's no need to save for DOs and SOs. The only thing I would change would be the labeling on DOs and SOs.

Quote:Green Lantern wasn't relaunched beyond the new #1s and the new series (New Guardians, Red Lanterns). Storywise they're just picking up where they left off. DC didn't want to fix what wasn't broken, and GL, comic-wise, isn't broken.I enjoyed Green Lantern and Red Lanterns, which felt like there was no 'relaunch' at all. Of course that means that these books will probably not draw in readers that have not enjoyed the GL storylines over the past few years.
There is some confusion, as the relaunch happens to coincide with Sinestro re-entering the Green Lantern Corps. Some people seem to think that's a reboot, but this is a continuation of the storyline that has been happening all along.
I though Green Lantern #1 was as great as the previous volume had been. Seeing both Sinestro and Hal Jordan adjust to roles they don't want to be in and are really ill equipped to deal with makes for great storytelling. I'm kinda hoping this situation lasts a little longer than it seems it will.
Red Lanterns #1, I thought, got bogged down a little in exposition, but that's understandable given that these characters have never had their own series before. It was cool to get inside Atrocitus' head a bit, even in spite of one...politically controversial panel. It also set up the conflict that will drive the series in the early going, which looks at least interesting enough to entice me into buying issue #2. -

Preposterous! Anyone who knows anything about politics and has a decent set of eyes can see there's a world of difference between Rick Perry on the left and Mitt Romney on the right!

Wait, Galaxy City existed prior to Issue 21?

Some that haven't been mentioned yet:
King Tut: He operates his gang like a royal court, so life is good if you stay on his good side. Problem is he'd be liable to have you executed if you displease him in any way.
Egghead: Seems to treat his staff pretty well. He's mostly obsessed with proving everyone how smart he is, so if your ego can handle being constantly reminded that he a whole lot smarter than you (and let's face it, as a professional henchman having a huge ego is not one of your problems) it's a really good gig.
Man-Bat, Killer Croc: Neither is hiring. If you try to get a gig, you're likely to be either pummeled into paste or eaten.
Music Meister: As a mind-controlled thrall under the sway of his singing, you're obviously working for free. But with all those musical numbers, even if you could care, you'd still be having too much fun.
