hmm your right .. i must be doing something right or wrong because i get 38.2% def on a /SR stalker and only 32% on a scrapper.
I think thats from hide.
Theres also the chance to get to 40% def with a stalker. -
I think i know what you've tried to do .. you think your not doing enough because gamblers cut is min damage and your using assault to make up the difference.
Thing is you could drop gamblers (min dmg) and pickup flashing steel or sting of the wasp (medium dmg) and would do alot more dmg with those than gamblers.
Secondly assault with the 2 /nin shields would be a huge end drain resulting in you not being able to scrap for long.
Even 2 slotting the shields and 3 sloting assault they would be using .567 end a second .. hardly worth the 10% extra dmg .. and thats to base dmg not enhanced damage.
You'll be lucky if you get an extra 5 to dmg.
Now you can say 'Chels shut up i like it!'and i'd understand but i just wanted to give you other options and figures to help out.
[Edit] just looked on my builder and AS is 19.4% base dmg
with assault it would be 20.9% so you've gained a whole 1.5% dmg.
I'll let you deside -
mmm it works for scrappers but not very well with stalkers and i think thats due to the low stalker defence.
Your talking about surviving long enough for the debuffs to actualy build up which if memorys serves are something like 5% acc debuff which isn't alot for stalkers. -
ouch !
Good luck with that build, i mean it.
Kuji-in rin is the same ,read my lips, the same as practice brawler in recharge, mez protection etc etc.
The one thing it dosn't have is KB res altho it has fear res which PB does not have. -
If i HAD to go EM i think i'd prefer /regen or /nin but thats personal choice.
Claws/SR ftw tho
IR must win stalker builds -
EM/nin
EM/regen
EM/anything !!!
Who cares I WANT FUN builds -
nin/nin
claws/SR
MA/SR
MA/nin
nin/SR -
You don't need aid self and tbh i don't know where you'd get the free power slots for it anyway.
Theres no equal scrapper set to /nin so no, the only close one is SR and 31% is not even close.
My nin/nin solo's fine without aid self.
/nin or /sr .. personal choice tbh -
Speaking from experience grav/kin is hard ,very hard and very slow going soloing and only get easier in later levels but stick with it guys because it does get fun later.
Don't underestimate crush .. 2 acc 3 dmg and with hasten and siphon speed that power does a huge amount of DoT. -
2 acc is pretty standard in my builds for attack powers.
looks good as it is altho you really don't need the end reducs in combat jumping as its end cost is so small anyway and with stamina 3 slotted you won't noticed it at all so i'd drop a def buff in there for more defence.
piece of advice SR wise tho .. take the toggles first and leave the passive powers like agile, dodge for later as theres alot more defence in the toggle powers than the passives. -
Phase shift stacks with hide and stealth or invis (stealth+phase = invis)and theres only the cost of clicking it which is quite small (it was changed when they changed the length of time it could be used to 30 seconds)
activation is quite long so if you expect to click it before you die forget it you'll just die anyway. -

Stay clear of traps but apart from that you cant really chose a bad secondary.

Most Ar/Devs blasters leave sirens when my Ar/Traps corr enters -
Heres my suggestions:
1) slot attack powers 2 acc 3 dmg 1 recharge
2) take hasten if possible (its horrible waiting for burst, slug, snipe to recharge at early levels)
3) take fly instead of tp as it will get you out of melee range .. also you have a pulling power in snipe and its better than tp foe.
4) web gren is good with just 2 acc
5) fully slot FFG with def buffs
6) fully slot poison traps with just recharge (hold does nothing to the length of the hold)
7) think about assault/tactics later on .. assault is only a 10% dmg buff but with scourge its 20% and tactics for those nasty nightwidows and scouts plus the extra acc is good. -

I'm looking forward to the poison trap, mostly because people on the US forums are whining about it being "Teh ZOMG!!!! overpowered!!!".

LIES !.. its all lies ! *cough* -
you'll want stamina and i'd aim to get it as soon as possible ie level 20
-
With respect to the last posters but everyones throwing out ideas about which is 'the best' set to play but nobodys mentioned which is the most 'fun' to play.
Heres my Top 4 for most fun Primarys
1) Claws
2) Ninja Blade
3) Martial Arts
4) Spines
Em dosn't even get a lookin as its sooooooooooooo boring
DM is hard to level to the point its a chore.
Leveling a Claws/SR atm and its so much fun .. say what you want about 'the best' sets to play but if its not fun whats the point in leveling it ? -
I'll be there Cap if you need a hand with anything.
-
Depends if your PVP'ing in which case i'd say 3 ACC 3 Dam.
But in PVE i would defo go 2 ACC 3 Dam 1 Recharge as it does help bring it back that bit faster and is pretty much the standard slotting for AS.
So yes .. throw one in and enjoy -

Regarding Smoke Bomb... it'll be great if they've fixed it since it's a multiple target Placate. At release, it was broken and didn't work. I don't know if they've fixed it yet, check the release notes.

I believe it has been and some time ago as i tried smokebomb some time back and it did indeed placate but i did have a problem with the mob re-agroing after the placate wore off and chasing me even across the whole map.
Whether this has changed now i'm not to sure but the placate did work. -

2) Does a ninjitsu stalker need stamina? I mean we only have 3 toogles...
- Yes it definitely needs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Are you sure.. cause I don't have many if any end problems, and i'm near lvl 20? Or does it other powers drain end like crazy?
[/ QUOTE ]
Its mostly the combo of Reflexes and Danger Sense both of which use quite alot of end altho Danger Sense is the bigger of the 2.
Add in the usage of hit powers and it does drain end quite fast especialy the big hitting later powers like GD and SD from ninja blade. -
You really do have to pick an choose powers as some are not as good as others and there are some power that are 100% needed and some that are totaly situational.
1) I'm going to say no on this one .. my personal feelings are its situational other people might disagree but i skipped it.
2) Stamina is a must on most AT's .. The toggles are quite end heavy.
3) I've tried smoke bomb and the only times i've used it is to escape a large mob and even then when the placate wears off the mob agros again even halfway across the map, i skipped this.
4) All your defence comes from Ninja Reflexes and Danger Sense so yes take both.
Ninja Reflexes is 21% Melee defence
Danger Sense is 21% Ranged/AoE Defence
Combat Jumping is 1.6% Defence
Hide is 5.9% melee/ranged 59% Aoe 3 slotted def
5) Its basicly down to reading and understanding how the powers work, reading some guides and actualy trying out the powers yourself is a good idea.
Having an idea of what you want to do and what area your fighting in also helps.
Also a hero planner is a big help. -

Pfft -
I never took Acro on my nin/nin and opted for TP.
On effects like earthquake its very easy to TP off it as theres a gap where powers can activate inbetween the falling down animation.
So theres another option for you. -
I have 2 stalkers atm and both are concept based altho i do take them into PVP zones where they handle themselfs fine.
1's lvl 50 and the other is lvl 30.
I have to disagree on how they lvl tho and i also find them intresting and quite tactical to play making them for me very enjoyable to play.
Come to think of it i think all my toons are concept bar acouple. -
Geez i've been missing all the dings
grats Trix -
btw switched is SS/Elec
