Not sure which one to choose

Ok this is my problemo, i dont know whether to choose

energy melee / energy aura
OR
Martial Arts / Super reflexes
OR
Martial Arts / Energy Aura

i dont want ninjitsu because i already have a stalker with ninjitsu so want something tad different

& any techniques or tips you could tell me to help me on my way to becoming a great stalker?

As my other stalker went a tad wrong and even worse after my brother respeced it and just ruined everything

Or just the best power combinations in your opinion? As i want this stalker to work

EM/SR sounds like a good combo in my book. Good ST Damage as well as a high defence giving you a good chance to get an extra AS in the middle of a fight.

If i HAD to go EM i think i'd prefer /regen or /nin but thats personal choice.
Claws/SR ftw tho

I would have thought Dark/SR would be rather tasty (and to a lesser extent Dark/Ninj or Dark/Energy) due to the defence armour and -tohit debuff of dark melee?

mmm it works for scrappers but not very well with stalkers and i think thats due to the low stalker defence.
Your talking about surviving long enough for the debuffs to actualy build up which if memorys serves are something like 5% acc debuff which isn't alot for stalkers.

I got a DM/SR stalker. It's a very good combo IMO.

I dont have Agile neither Dodge right now, but after 3 hits purple bosses will hit only a few attacks.

30% defense + AS + Smite + Shadow Punch gives me 45%. And I still have to get the auto powers. Besides, Siphon Life works as a mini heal, which coupled with Hasten and Quickness will allow you to heal 10-20% (depends on your slotting) every 10 seconds or so.

Of course, this combo has its disadvantages. For instance, my DPS is lower than some sets like EM. At least Neg Nrg isnt so resisted

I tried a lot of stalkers before I7 and gave up on the AT. This is the only combo that made me want play one.

Im getting the same defence scores from /SR with both stalkers and scrappers, with the exception that one passive power (is it AoE auto) is replaced by hide on stalkers?

In addition, I think touch of fear comes with a higher and longer lasting def buff, but not sure on that.

Both Scrappers and Stalkers have the same defense score. And yes, the staker has the AoE defense auto (Lucky) replaced with Hide.

hmm your right .. i must be doing something right or wrong because i get 38.2% def on a /SR stalker and only 32% on a scrapper.
I think thats from hide.
Theres also the chance to get to 40% def with a stalker.
