Quote:cold damge is one of if not the least resisted dmg types, between that and the 30-36 -res see water holding its own even without I abilitiesWith Time/ backing her, you'd almost never get anything from the PW if it's the same AI.
Still, might be worth it (going Soul) if you want to AV hunt. It does make the decision for getting Temporal Selection an easy one though.
I have some doubts about Time/Water/Dark as an Av fighter. Time doesn't have the big debuff available for AVs and Water is a touch suspect for single target in my book.
Course with Incarnates all things are possible. -
Quote:ThanksAt 1.25 PPM, it will have a 90% proc chance as long as you're not using a recharge alpha. Worst case would be ~95% slotted recharge:
1.25*(1.17+90/1.95)/60= .985 = 98.5%, capped at 90%
If you ARE using a recharge alpha, then the worst case is ~125% slotted recharge (with Spiritual Core Paragon)
1.25*(1.17+90/2.25)/60= .857 = 85.7%, still not much of a decrease.
You may be right about Performance Shifter; we'll see once it reaches beta. -
If internet celebrities and Reality shows count Egoraptor of "metalgear awesome" fame was on the third season of The Tester.

This is what I plan on doing with my bots/traps

I take both taunt on my tankerminds but I can compromise make 1 of the entry powers in the pool a fear for squishies and the other one can remain as a taunt
-
A placate in the concealment pool makes sense, in the presence pool? not really I think a taunt aura makes sense

Quote:Your saying it's at the 90% cap when slotted for 90-97% recharge? or is that without any recharge slotted? They will, presumably, become the same as the Attuned versions. The Performance Shifter proc is currently 1.5 PPM, which means it is slightly better than a 20% chance. Under the i24 changes, it would be 1.875 PPM, which would make it better still. The Attuned version of the Gaussian's proc is currently 1 PPM on beta, which means 1.25 PPM in i24, which means way, way better than the current flat 5% proc chance, especially in Build Up and similar powers, where it will easily reach the 90% proc chance cap.
Since proc shifter PPM was rebalanced for auto powers I see no reason to believe it will be bumped up to 1.875(or stay there) -
Quote:Also thisI'd give Mike Carey's depiction of Lucifer a nod because in addition to being at or near the top in terms of raw power, he's also demonstrated that he's capable of taking down gods and godlike beings when he himself has been de-powered.
(assuming we don't just award it to God; in that series, God has basically all of Lucifer's skillset and then some - if you defeat him it's because he wanted you to) -

Quote:Though your exaggerating everything your saying makes me more interested aesthetically rather than less I wish we got to see him take a crack at Green LanternAbsolutely. Any supervillains would be blandified. Superman probably wouldn't have a cape because it would just create unnecessary drag on a flying character - if he even had his powers at all. Wonder Woman would probably have some sort of modern military uniform. I would expect terrible things to happen, aesthetically.

Quote:Here I thought I would be the edgy clever one for a changeI was speaking to a friend about the new Spider-man movie, and we somehow got into a "most powerful fictional character ever" debate. The first person that came to mind was Goku from DragonBall Z. Everyone else I thought of, I don't think they could defeat him. One of the people who came to mind that I thought might have a chance is Dr. Manhattan.
Who do you think is the most powerful fictional character ever?

from what i read it makes more sense to fit in as many damage procs as you can before focussing on AH, you have to fit in 360 damage on an AH effected lvl 50 target before the effect of AH equals a single damage proc
-
D field is a bad place to put that proc it will account as if its a 10 sec AOE which PPMs are aweful in
-
The diminishment of SBE PPM Procs will be huge, much much larger than the boost IO procs get by moving to PPMs system and the current best places for IO procs get nerfed in the move so it's not all upside in the only area that benefits
-
There are already massive nerfs. all pre i24 ppm get a massive nerf in the form of proc chace cap and having slotted recharge count against proc chance, all io procs slotted for maximum proccing will also be hit

Quote:This but overall I'm extremely underwhelmed and I out right dislike challenge getting removed, I used both taunts on my Bots/Trapslooks interesting, I do have one thing, i wish the "cross punch" were a kick instead. we have plenty of punching options for players with thematic needs to punch, but outside of jump kick and kick, we are limited for players who punch and kick and aren't martial arts or stj. Hoping feedback suggests to them that if they are working on customization, that we get a kick version of it as well (and yes, i know its called cross punch, we have an alt punch for crippling axe kick too, precedent exists). maybe we could use the wheel kick-ish move from the start of spinning strike.

Quote:typed and positional capping aside, and sexist undertones aside(j/k)I don't normally run a ruptor, but my spouse does. I thought I'd share this with the Corruptor forum because, while I am hard pressed to play one, I respect the AT for what it's capable of and thought everyone here might get some amusement out of it.
So, my dear spouse had not gotten the chance to get the badges from the summer event and asked me to do it for her. I logged on and que'd up on her Fire/Therm. While I waited I took stock at what she'd done with the toon:
Snazzy attack chain, check...
Capped Def to s/l/e/n and all her positionals... wow...
T3 in Alpha, Destiny and Lore... huh... (didn't know she had it in her)...
Stackable debuffs... (o.o she knows what those are!?)
Two stackable boosts to her attacks?
Now, on the summer event, a lot of those things don't matter because of the level cap, but I was very impressed. It explains how she jumps into mobs at +4/x8 and lives to maniacally laugh as she cuts them down with 'moar fiar!'. But, my underestimation of my spousal unit aside, lets get back to the story.
So I zone into the event and assess the team, myself (a corruptor), a brute, a MM and a Fender. The casino heist goes well, and I managed to net all of the badges there for her while getting used to her UI before we had to do all-out combat. But, then something happens and as finish up the last AV in the heist, our MM goes *poof* and DCs never to return. There's a bit of discussion among the team, and after a bit I convince them that I've run the arena portion of the event with less than four, so we go for it. The animation begins and before long, we find ourselves toe-to-toe with the Minotaur. The following is the gyst of the conversation in team as we beat on him:
Brute: Tedious...
Me: Indeed.
Fender: Well, what do you expect, we're the three least damaging AT in the game.
Me: ...
Me: I donno, I think I do pretty well for damage.
Then I notice... I'm the only one popping off heals or shields... (which the brute had kindly reminded me to recharge, again...not a 'ruptor). What's more so I took a look at the 'fender a bit closer and tapped <info> and about cried. Rad/Elec... *sigh*
Now at upper levels, isn't the damage bonus cap on Brutes like 700%? I don't consider that anything to shake a stick at. Scourge puts Corruptors on par, if not better than, Blasters considering the debuffs they're punching out. That's not anything to take lightly either.
We won, even managed to pull off getting the badges, and I was impressed enough with my better half's toon that I'm seriously considering giving the Corruptor AT another try. So, am I wrong in my thinking?
And, as my last question, anyone have a suggestion as to fun combos to play? I've done the different incarnations of dark on different AT so i'd like to try something else, and I'd prefer to run something a bit different than the spouse's Fire/Therm just for the sake of variety.
Thanks all, hope you got a chuckle/gasp of disbelief out of the story as well.
Tempest
I suggest nearly everything/Traps, nearly everything except weapon sets/Time, both sets are highly effect both teamed and solo allowing you to use everything or almost everything all by yourself -

Quote:but isn't that HP a bonus or buff based on how many people are on the league, it's not their base pool of hpYes. That assumes a level 50 character versus a level 50 AV accounting for AV debuff resistance. I don't know how it would work out in trials, the AVs there will resist it more due to being level 54 (87% resistance instead of 85% plus the purple patch modifier) but conversely they have more HP than a standard level 54 AV which increases the effective DPS.
