  1. They should work out a way to make those 3 free slots work and offer reasonable prices for paid for slots to put on top of that

This far as I'm concerned they can do it both ways but I would love a set that offeres multiple damage types.

At the end of the day, it depends on what you want to do with it and what powersets you want to play with. Fiery Aura? Go with Brute (::grumble grumble stupid mobs running away from my Burn... :: )
If you intend to use shield def, elec melee and/or titan weapons definitely go scrapper.
  4. 2 slot being held onto, 1 on Triump the other I forget the one on triumph I'm simply waiting for Staff Melee, the other I'm waiting on a mafio/business suit skin for thugs
  5. Happpened again last night on a lam i was leading on my new lvl 50 brute

The difference is that the Panacea proc is tagged to go off on the target and the caster, where the Miracle and Numina uniques are tagged to go off only on the caster.

Heal over time is still one cast of a power. Just as damage procs do not check to go off on "ticks" of DoT powers like Gloom, the benefits of Miracle and Numina (or Panacea, for that matter) do not go off on the "ticks" of HoT powers.
Thanks uber, I take it the same applies to the +recovery unique as well?

    Option A:
    Staff Fighting/Ninjitsu Stalker
    Street Justice/Willpower Brute

    Option B:
    Staff Fighting/Willpower Brute
    Street Justice/Ninjitsu Stalker

What do you think would be more fun?

I don't know much about redraws, redundancies, etc., so I thought I'd post here.

    Thanks!
Use Titan with Willpower use SJ with Nin
  8. I know the panacea chance for heal can go off on anyone within the healing beacon every 10 seconds but do the regen and recovery uniques work that way too or do they just effect the caster? What about the time manipulation heal over time powers do they offer the same added benefit every 10 seconds?
  9. When i comes to purple sets the 53% enhancement is almost always worthless unless your splitting the set up. here's what I reccomend doing, get titan sentintinel use that to copy your live build into something you can feed into mids and look at all the places your slotted for more than 89% of given enhancable attribute with incarnate turned off.
  10. Couldn't it be said that brutes get the least benefits out of shield of the three at's who have access to it? Go Scrapper for this powerset combo

I'm sure alternate animation can be done reasonably easily from a code perspective such tech is already in use for MA and SS but they would have to have be all new animations because the mm animation times aren't the same as the blast set's times

If my Stone tank is already made out of rock, why do I need to stick more rocks to myself to be protected?

If I do want to have one of those effects, I may want to only run one or two of the graphical effects - when a dark or fire armor character turns on all their auras, you can't see any of them clearly, let alone the character underneath.

And, honestly, a lot of the VFX on the old powersets look like crap. Instead of asking them to waste artist time on redoing all the auras, why not have them just add a "No FX" option and let me use Omega or Bio-Plasma, instead of being awash in 8-year-old graphics that don't even look like fire?

I agree with the OP's suggestion 100%. There's no reason to be forced into the graphics on most of the toggles in the elemenntal sets (Icicles from Ice armor being the only one I can think of that should be kept), and several reasons to allow us to turn them off if we want to.

We have the temp power to call a random signature hero to help during a battle, purchasable from tier 9 of the reward token market. What I would like is the ability to call forth one of my alts to help in a battle. How fun would it be for two of your own toons to fight side by side?

Gentleman Gladiator is fighting Lord Recluse and is in trouble. He quickly radios stablemate Abe Kadabra, who appears via teleporter and uses his electrical blast powers to help his friend take down the leader of Arachnos.

The power would work like this:

once activated, the power would draw forth a random, level-appropriate hero (or villain, etc.) from your alts. S/he would fight by your side for 5 minutes, then disappear. The power would have, say, 5 charges, or alternately unlimited charges but only usable once every hour.

This is something I would happily buy in the Paragon Market. The chance to fight side-by-side with one of my other creations - creations which are by the very nature of the game never permitted in world at the same time under any other circumstance - would be incredibly cool. And it doesn't seem like the programming would be too difficult either.

And I bet it would sell better than that wascally leprechaun!
    I like it

I don't think so, but this didn't happen before i22
  19. I've only done lam twice since I22 but both times after the team split up section my pets would rush mauruder immediately after re-entering the courtyard. No amount of defensive follow has any effect they just run in and ruin everything for everyone. Has anyone else noticed this? I have done 1 Baf on my bots traps and i noticed my bots doing the same with siege.

So there are a lot of fundamental design decisions that resulted in things working differently from how the actual game works. And there are a lot of manually created workarounds for those. As they start using more and more complex mechanics in the game, that divergence of design becomes more and more of an issue, and it becomes increasingly hard to accurately model them within the existing framework. Diellan is having to basically write a whole new way of looking at enhancements to get PPM and the ATOs to work, and the normal/catalyzed sets require a new way of defining enhancement sets.

That's a big part of the reason why modern updates take longer, because of things like Beast Mastery and Assassin's Strike, or even the Scrapper ATO, which requires tweaking almost every scrapper power by hand...

If Paragon was going to do a planner they'd be wise to base it on the game engine itself to avoid having to deal with things like that.

Hamidon Origin, Invention Origin are understood as the originated from the preceeding word so they still work

The rate of buffs to poor power sets, enhancements sets to anything is far far below the rate of nerfs their is no comparison at all. Mercs sucks just as bad today as it did 5 years ago and probably since it was released, the medec still has far less range than the rest of the t1s, the sets survivability is just as poor as its always been, its damage is just as poor, serum sucks just as much let's not pretend adjusting up has anywhere near the same priority as nerfing.

Lots of garbage is dealt out in terms of low performing power sets, io sets that offers worthless set bonuses like 2.5-4% dmg in both VR pets sets cause one wasn't enough of an insult. When was the last time an io set got buffed? Never? When something good comes along keep it to yourself maybe if they do less nerfing we'll see tiny tiny bit more buffing.

no one's forming secret societies or conspiracies to my knowledge then again just cause I don't know that such groups exist doesn't mean they don't lol; what i'm talking about is independent discovery. When X person discovers D sbe has G amazing effect in J power he should keep quiet so that Y and Z persons can stumble upon the same and look into other sbe independently.

Once I became aware of how awesome decimation could be in an app hold I immediatly wondered if Gausions had ever been available on the market I even asked the triumph community without indicationg why I wanted to know and thats how it should be

If Synapse said it was WAI and wasn't going to change, I'd go ahead and buy a bunch while they were on sale (the ability to slot them starting at 18 isn't that appealing to me - i've got 5 or 6 level 21s in circulation right now).

If Synapse said it WASN'T WAI, (and he would find out, sooner or later) then I would save myself some money.
Things can work as intended and also be outside of parameters xyz dev would like; look at regen I0 version was WAI but then some devs didn't like it's performance lvl and they would contiue to weaken it over the course of multiple issues. Far as i'm conscerned you only gave synapse incentive to change his mind as to how great the sbe should be.

If a nerf is inevitable, later is always better.
