Staff Fighting, Street Justice Alt question

Okay, I'm planning to start a brute and a stalker soon (two archetypes I haven't played) and have been saving up paragon points to buy Staff Fighting when it comes out, and get Street Justice. I was thinking of doing a willpower brute and a ninjitsu stalker (powersets I haven't played). So:

Option A:
Staff Fighting/Ninjitsu Stalker
Street Justice/Willpower Brute

Option B:
Staff Fighting/Willpower Brute
Street Justice/Ninjitsu Stalker

What do you think would be more fun?

I don't know much about redraws, redundancies, etc., so I thought I'd post here.

Thanks!

I'm not sure how staff fighting will be on either... but street justice is a great set for a stalker because so few stalker sets have good AoE damage. I have a street justice/ninjitsu stalker at nearly level 47 now, it's a very fun set.

Mind you, I have a street justice/shield brute at 50 that I love as well, and probably staff will be fun on either AT. I'm not sure you can go wrong either way.

I've been trying to decide if I'm going to make a Staff Fighting Scrapper or Stalker...
I initially thought Scrapper, but this could be a great time to give Stalkers a serious whirl (one thing I've been meaning to do).

Here's the one thing I do know... Stalkers do not get Staff Fighting's feature Form Powers (Form of Body, Form of Mind, Form of Soul: Toggles that supply some additional effects - small amounts of different damage types and secondary effects, depending on the form and the level it has been brought to [by building up Staff Fighting's attacks and then using one of two special attacks that will have greater effect]).
Stalkers just get Build Up and are balanced out as though they're in Form of Body, as I understand it.
Some see this as a negative, but I am actually thinking that I may enjoy this for Staff Fighting. The different forms are somewhat cool, but I could see myself enjoying it more with a somewhat spiritual/chi-focused monk-like staff user... but, I'm just thinking about making a character that uses a staff to hit people with... And, for that, I'm starting to think Stalker might be more fun for me.

Might not be of much help, but I figured I'd share my own unfinished thoughts on the matter, hehe.

EDIT:
And, hopefully, before anyone else says it...
Yes, of course I could be a Scrapper and not take/use the different forms.
I'm just thinking that Stalker might be fun and I don't see losing the Form choices as a bad thing in my case.

Losing the things that Street Justice lose as a Stalker might not be as fun though.

My Street Justice/Willpower brute is one of my favorite characters to play; StJ is a really fun set. Plus, its finishers can make it kind of an end hog in the 30's, and WP is a huge help with that.

HOWEVER:
If you're worried about redraw with Staff Fighting, I think it's important to point out the almost total lack of click powers in Willpower. Basically the entire set (aside from the entirely-skippable tier 8 and 9 powers, which are situational anyway -- no need to worry about redraw on a self-rez!) is either a toggle or an auto power, so you never have to put away your whackin' stick.

I don't have any experience with Ninjistu, but from what I know it's a lot "clickier" than WP, and that means more redraw.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

Ninjitsu has a clickable status proteciton similar to SR and Shield. It also has a heal, which if you build for defense (it's a positional defense set) you'll only need occasionally. So really, not a clicky-intensive set to me, any more than SR or Shield is. Not like Regen anyway.

There's also some other powers like caltrops, smoke, etc. I haven't used those much.

Use Titan with Willpower use SJ with Nin

For the two choices, it's pretty easy.

Staff Fighting loses its unique mechanic on Stalkers. Ninjitsu causes more redraw than Willpower does. Street Justice does amazing damage on Stalkers, builds 2 combo points with Assassin's Strike, and keeps all of its aoe potential unlike other Stalker sets. Staff Fighting either mitigates a Brute's endurance usage (Willpower helps this as well), helps their recharge, or adds a drop in a bucket of enormous damage bonuses, giving you the most possible build flexibility.

Seems like an easy choice to me, but bear in mind neither are bad.

Thanks, all. I think I'm going to make a Street Justice/Ninjitsu stalker and wait for Staff Fighting to start my first brute (and first willpower) alt.

I can't speak for Staff, but StJ is a LOT of fun on a Scrapper; mine is StJ/Inv level 50 and it's one of the most fun characters I've ever played to level. There's no redraw of course, but you are building combos with your attacks and the combo buff doesn't last long so you'll find you're in a hit-hit-hit-HIT HARD-repeat rotation. That's one reason I'm glad I went /Inv since it's set and forget, and being soft capped to S/L (can't get E/N there on a scrapper without too many compromises) I don't need Dull Pain very often.

I'm not sure StJ would work really well with a Stalker; it's very much an "in your face" set rather than a stealth and strike one. Still, I've never played a Stalker so my opinion there probably isn't worth a whole lot. One thing to keep in mind with StJ is that it'll burn a fair amount of endurance with it's fast activating attacks so plan for that in your build. I'd say it's equal or slightly heavier in endurance than Broadsword. Nothing you can't build around as mine has near infinite sustainability even without the Alpha slot but it can be an issue early.

I have a SJ/regen brute and it's a lot of fun. My favourite and highest level toon.
