If you want to be pedantic... . UK is part of Europe, and that only a subset of players can see them doesn't change the fact of these being the first real in-game ads on the EU servers. Of course, it's all a matter of subjective opinion really.

Ads for Germany and France will arrive over time as well. The system is setup so that we only distribute ads to those who they are relevant for - so yes, in many cases if you live outside one of the core territories you may not see the ads.

And this game is full of religion... Just not the typical/generic ones.

I'm still experiencing this on my will/db tanker.
However it is rather worse... Several of her attacks(3 of 7 attacks) simply refused to recharge during a mission a few minutes ago. Sent a petition.
