  1. If there was ever a TF/SF that needed an update... it's the Synapse TF.

Not everyone at higher levels has softcapped defenses, and even if they did they'd need 59% defense for incarnate level content to be at the cap. You don't need a KB intensive primary/secondary to pair with Force Field to make Force Bubble good, just the positioning and know-how.

Soft-capped defenses by alternating between MoG, Divine Avalanche/Parry, and Shadow Meld; a top tier DPS chain; perma Dull Pain; and a lot of regenerating health.

Or Storm Summoning, or Cold Domination, or Thermal Radiation, or Electric Mastery, or Mu Mastery.
  4. -Teamed with a FF/Energy Blast Defender last night. Getting to the defense softcap pre-IO's is lovely. Thing is that people fail to realize that Knockback is skill-intensive. Anyone using KB powers well can pin entire mobs down, making combat a breeze. It's just that I've seen few who do it well.
-Have a Katana/Regen Scrapper, umm...no. Regen does not need a buff.
-Have an Electric Blast Corruptor. Endurance Drain is a viable strategy.

    Follow Up/Swipe/Lunge/Swipe will deal 50.72 + (44.49 + 3 * 4.45) * 2 + (101.43 + 4 * 5.56) = 290.07 damage in 4.224 sec (68.67 dps). Your +30% from Follow Up will apply to 5 Swipe, 3 Follow Up and 2 Lunge. That's 191.39 additional damage, so ~114 dps.

    Follow Up/Lunge/Strike/Swipe will deal 50.72 + (101.43 + 4* 5.56) + (79.93 + 4 * 3.89) + (44.49 + 3 * 4.45) = 327.72 damage in 4.488 sec (73.02 dps). Your +30% damage will apply to 2 Swipe, 2 Strike, 2 Lunge and 2 Follow Up. That's 196.63 additional damage, so ~117 dps.

The first chain would burn 5.59 end/sec while the second would burn 6.44 end/sec (both before any endurance reduction). So unless I got the math above wrong (entirely possible), your attack chain will generate slightly more damage than the one I mentioned above.
Hmm... Thank you for the analysis. 3 DPS is hardly worth nearly one additional endurance usage per second. Thing is: A) Getting Follow Up to recharge fast enough to triple stack it, which on my build, I know currently I can't. B) If I switch to a Spiritual Alpha Slot, would have the endurance usage to maintain it, when currently I'm using a Cardiac.
  6. I'm not your baby, muchacho.

Agreed, just minus the DDR, but it isn't much of a drawback with Mind Link.

Question. FU/Swipe/Lunge/Swipe is the optimal melee chain for widows? Because I'm running FU/Lunge/Strike/Swipe without any trouble. Or is that because Lunge is getting triple stacks of Follow Up?
  8. So are these going to be released in a separate booster pack? or are they going to be added in the existing boosters?
  9. I used to play my Dark/Dark Dominator then it took arrow into the knee from my StJ Stalker.
  10. Ugh. The guy playing did us no justice in that vid. Ask for someone who has played the game before next time.
  11. Nice. Wish I saw it. I haven't been watching much anime these last few years. The last thing I watched on AS was Moribito. I can't get into insanely long series like Naruto, Bleach, or Full Metal anymore.

Never. I've joined several or my server channels and I have never seen anyone ever attempt it or even just to try and find players in order form one in a channel, on the broadcast, or in the help channel. Never. Admittingly, I spend almost no time in the First Ward, though. If they only form in that zone broadcast, that's on me. But in my experience the First Ward is largely vacant.
  13. The obvious stuff; house, debts, family security, then a sizeable donation to Autism Speaks...

...and one epic night...er, week at the Craps table in Monte Carlo.
  14. I don't think I have ever seen anyone attempt to form a team to kill the flying Hamidon in the First Ward. Ever. So I doubt lvl 30 Hami-O's is enough to motivate anyone to do it.

I do beleive at some point in the future, Hamidon (whether it's Primal and/or Praetorian) will be back in the spotlight... Soon™. Perhaps the devs will consider an upgrade of Hami-O's then.

I have to admit, I felt guilty converting the 2 full sets of Soulbound Allegiance IO's...for a second.
  16. I use it for my Ice/Cold Corruptor for thematic reasons, but is a nice option alternating it between Blizzard when Blizzard isn't up or when I don't want to burn all my endurance.
  17. I rolled mine as a Claws/FA Brute. I dislike rage crashes and really just Super Strength in general. I can also see TW/Fire, TW/Elec, or Claws/Elec working just as well as SS/X.
  18. Not enough Michael Ironside.
  19. Both movies convey the same theme. An evil government subjects several youths in a project or a spectacle to induce fear and paranoia, by having children kill each other. Battle Royale which I have seen, is visceral, it shows just what people are capable of given the choice between kill or be killed. Some are up to the task, others aren't. I think Battle Royale is much more about the survival aspect, the emotional conflict each character face from the choice, and what it takes; what has to be done in order to live. It's a social commentary that gives the viewer a character that they can indentify with. It's sick, twisted, and brutally honest.

While I haven't seen the Hunger Games yet. I imagine it will be much more centralized around Katniss Everdeen and her evolving into a much stronger individual, and the beginning or her quest to overthrow the corrupt government. Meanwhile show the economic and social inequalites of social classes. I think the Hunger Games is more a story than Battle Royale and Battle Royale is more a social commentary.
  20. I think that some of the other AT's need attention before I'd look at Scrappers again. Honestly, it's a refeshing change for the game now that Stalkers are being played a lot more now.
  21. I would love to see Blapper combo of Staff Blast and Staff Manipulation using some or all of the new Staff animations from the melee set.
