Quote:I am stating for a fact that everything in life is a gamble not for comparison but to open your eyes that you gamble every minute of every day just by being alive. So if you hate gambling, you hate living.
The fact that Life is unpredictable and can end at any moment is a given. We don't choose it to be so, it just is.
However, choosing NOT to gamble away our hard earned money has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with that.
It's a spurious correlation. -
Quote:This works for me. I don't particularly care about the costume parts, but I was interested in the ATOs for my main, and possibly for a Dominator I'm planning.
- ATOs (Archetype Enhancements) will be purchasable from the Reward Merit Vendor, for a combination of Reward Merits and Inf, and from Astral Christy, for a combination of Astral Merits and Inf. There will be a cooldown timer on the purchase of these items. The amount of Inf and duration of the cooldown are still being discussed and will be evaluated once all of this hits beta. This is in addition to their availability in Super Packs.
- Enhancement Catalysts will be added to the game as rare drops from enemies defeated during Incarnate Trials and in the upcoming newly Incarnated Dark Astoria. Like ATOs, this is in addition to their availability through Super Packs.
I would probably buy them for Points if they were available for direct purchase (both ATOs and Catalysts), but buying the ATOs in-game with play money works just fine. I hope the Catalysts are actually acquirable doing the Dark Astoria content, and the drop rate isn't something ludicrously low.
I think this is a very good compromise, and am happy that you listened to the feedback. -
I enjoyed the FW arcs for the most part. The story was adequate, except for leaving Katie imprisoned at the end (which I understand is a cliffhanger for future content).
The only thing I didn't appreciate was the freaking Awakened. One of the Lieutenants has a 40ft AoE buff that grants +40% to-hit.
Playing at elevated difficulty through the whole set of missions for the challenge, then needing to change said difficulty for one mob group every time you encounter them due to "Huge To-hit Buff for Everyone" is just annoying.
At least versus Devouring Earth you can destroy the To-Hit Buff of Cheating. -
Woot! Thanks. I've been looking for one of these ever since I botched up the last one by cancelling to change my CC info.
Since I didn't get the email (I never do, boggle, I have the box checked), thanks! -
There is a limit of 20 (I think it's 20) things stored in email. Any chance you are at the email storage cap?

It's cleared up. Looks like it was a mapserver issue and they restarted it.
It was only happening on Triumph, no other server I tried.
Anyway, problem is resolved. -
I am currently unable to zone into a base or Ouro. Both hang the game and eventually I get a 'mapserver disconnected" message and have to force quit the game.
Characters zoning into Ouro are then shown as being in Ouro and cannot log in. Zoning into base (well, failing to) leaves the character where he was when he tried to zone in.
I have contacted support.
Anyone else on Triumph seeing this? (Characters on another server are unaffected and zoned to Ouro just fine.)
ps. Stupid forum keeps giving me timeouts/errors, too! -
With older AMD drivers, you cannot run Ambient Occlusion and Anti-Aliasing at the same time without getting some oddities such as what you are describing.
Try turning of one or the other. I have to have AA, so I did without AO.
Also, I have a 5770 and have had no issues with driver 11.9 at all. -
I'll add the counterpoint opinion to most of what I'm seeing here...
I don't care for the fog. It can go bye-bye and I'll not miss it. It makes using Teleport a massive pain in the rear end. It hides any style or beauty the zone might have (if it has any).
I won't be bothered if it does stay, but I'd actually be glad for it to be gone. -
I've been taking my L50 Elec/DM through First Ward (at L29 obviously) on +2x4. I ran into these Awakened mobs and hit a brick wall. Here is there info at City of Data:
http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...p?cat=Awakened
I was trying to figure out what was giving me such a hard time. I have 50% Psi resistance and 17.6% Psi defense. I carry lots of medium Purple inspirations, and use them generously. That puts me at 43.85% Psi defense (and ranged/melee are both over 45% then, for any attacks so typed).
I'd still get toasted. So, I dropped down to +2x2 and got through the missions.
Now, I finally know what caused me the issues. It's a buff cast by one of the Lieutenants (Conduit) called Psychic Battery. Here's it's info on City of Data:
http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...sychic_Battery
Notice it has a damage buff (approx. +25%), but that's not the issue. It has +40% To-Hit. The AoE is 40 feet. It buffs everything in the spawn by +40% To-Hit, possibly even adjacent spawns. Oh, and in a decent sized spawn, you can have 2 Conduits.
There are also Confuse and Fear effects in the group, which is annoying but Break Frees work wonders (for those of us without fear/confuse protection).
So, if you have issues with these, remember that the Conduit(s) must die, die, die! -
I solo like 99.9% of the time. I have done 4 Trials so far this year. I have done 3 task forces (for Notices) since August. I didn't enjoy them, though I think I did fairly well in them. They were, at best, tolerable for a limited time.
I very much look forward to a solo-able path through the Incarnate system.
However, having that content be solo-only is irrelevant to me. If it can be teamed, too, and others want to team through it, I don't care one tiny little bit. More power to 'em. I might even help someone once in a while who has trouble with some bit of it (I helped someone with Trapdoor the other day).
Solo-able content is all that I would/could ever ask for. Solo-only content means nothing extra to me at all. -
Quote:This has been said many times in several threads, and I add my voice to it.I'm sorry Developers.
but please keep your CCG Random Booster pack crap out of an MMO. I don't care how cheap it is, it's something I will never spend points on and I don't care for making exclusive content available on a random chance. Make that 'exclusive content' available in other forms though, and I've no worries.
Non-deterministic purchases will never be made by me. Ever. -

Yeah, the build won't import properly, even copying the whole build and having Mids try.
Anyway, I can say that I have a build that got 20%+ to every category. This puts me 1 medium Purple off from softcap to each category. It works very well, since I can buy a stack of 10 med-purps for about 2k each. I keep 2 stacks bought on the market at all times (plus I have a base bin, too).
So, defensively, I think you'll be fine.
At a glance, your accuracy on SP and Smite are going to be awful versus +4s. The other attacks are a bit better, but probably wouldn't be good enough for me.

Quote:I believe that I am able to successfully replicate this bug on the live servers. I've decided to post this here so that others can test this and report it (I just bugged it myself).
While playing without the blinking, click on the super tab, click settings and then enter the SG color selection menu, click accept and the blinking should start almost immediately.
I've repeated this several times and without fail the blinking comes back regardless of how long or short I am playing without the blinking effect.Quote:I think you figured it out. I was experiencing absolutely no problem with this. I switched to a character who was in a supergroup. I changed her supergroup colors around so that they did not match her regular colors. I ran around and suddenly started experiencing the problem. Switching out of supergroup mode did not help.
Confirmed! Both times that I have had this problem crop up, I had entered SG settings to change the MOTD!
This surely seems to be at least one way to consistently reproduce this problem. -
You're making me want to watch Danny Devito's Renaissance Man again. I haven't watched it in ages. I love the Crispin speach in it.

Quote:Finally got my token today.
I think I figured out how they are calculating it, so I'm anticipating it being around the 25th of the month for me from now on.
I finally got my Token today. I would be interested to know your theory, as the 25th doesn't have anything to do with my bill date and I can't come up with one.
We need some freakin' transparency. -
Gah! I wasn't getting very much of this. Until now.
I went to Atlas to pay base rent, went back towards tram and got tons of it. Zoned into Talos, and had tons of it.
Annoying! -
Quote:With all of these posts of people recieving theirs I was really hoping when I logged on I'd see I had recieved one as well. Sadly such was not the case.
Same here. Nothing.
Under the old sytem, I would have been due Sept. 15th and Oct. 15th. Support told me the 28th.
Now folks are getting there's ahead of that, and I'm wondering what is going on. -
My Vet Rewards day was the 15th all summer long. I got 84-months on Aug. 15th. I got no Token in Sept., which we now know was expected.
I got no Token on Oct. 15th, and was told it would probably be Oct. 28th(ish).
Seeing folks here getting tokens in the last day or two makes me wonder what is going on.
I still don't have my Token. -
That is an issue noted in the Known Issues post:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=271603 -
Quote:Yep, I just got the same.
Given my conversation with customer support this last weekend on this subject, I think I have a blurry picture of what is going on.
Timeline:- Before Sept 13 - Veteran Rewards
- September 13 - VIP Head Start, Paragon Reward time doesn't start.
- September 21 - Official Launch Paragon Reward Time not enabled yet.
- September 28 - Paragon Reward Time started.
That seems to be a pretty accurate picture. The end result for me is probably getting 2 Tokens in 3 paid months instead of 3. That isn't a happy place for me.
