Suggestion if you retain this feature: in the event it expires, have it auto-sell for the base price and the sending character receive the influence. Certainly not a equal exchange, but some compensation as the Paragon Mail Delivery Service recoups on it's own costs.

Quote:My only beef with these is that they are for new characters only. It would be far more attractive if they activated them similar to veterans rewards. Creating a new category in the badges section called "Perks" would do quite nicely.... ugh. "Soulbound" items have made it to COH.
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate soulbound-type items?
Memphis Bill: there are already soul-bound items in the game. All veteran reward powers, tokens, and pets cannot be traded. All items from the Super Boosters cannot be traded either. So... you are a tad late to complain about soul-bound items. -
Not to complain, nut May 29th is not that far away making planning inefficient.

Fun. I still miss the Malaise pattern for tucked in bottoms.

Can't believe I've been playing this game 6 years now.
-
When I started playing I picked up a second copy for my wife thinking it would be something fun we could do together and get her more comfortable with computers. Unfortunately, it was a failed experiment and to this day she still insists on myself our one our children to look things up for her on the net.
However, I did take advantage of the second account by dual boxing. I was able to run both very well at the same time (two KBs, mice, and monitors) and had several people convinces they were run by two different people. It happened to help one was a Rad-Bubbler. Today I rarely dual box as one or both of my kids is typically playing alongside with me. -
Good to hear people are moving, shaking, and otherwise still with the team overall. Much like cooking: you want to stir the ingredients from time to time to ensure constancy, flavor, and avoid burning the dish.
Looking forward to what the team has to bring in the next few issues. -
Also, if you go into sound for the mic and click on the advanced tab, you can then uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" under Exclusive Mode. I've found that some games will take complete control over the mic making it impossible for TS to work with them.

I know where it is coming from. I am one of the people responsible for collecting it.
But I would strongly suggest we drop the politics. It does bad things to gaming communities and I should know this first hand as a mod of a small one. -
Quote:My bad, not 10 miles at all (wishful thinking on my part as I am looking at houses which fall in the 5-10 mile range :/ )Isn't it 3 miles? I know they used to always say 15,000 feet. Has that changed?
Ideal is under 1 mile. It can get out to 5 miles on certain occasions.
DSL reports gives a good breakdown: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/4676 -
In the USA there are a lot of people living outside cities and in rural areas where DSL is unserviceable unless you live within 10 miles of the box. Some people do satellite, but the uplink is still regular dial-up.
-
I am currently on DSL, but may soon be moving to a Dial-up only area and sometimes use my cell to connect my laptop to the net if I am out and about.
So... why the question? -
-
Yep, still here. I have just been physically moving and am still unpacking so my play time is close to nill.

The new forums are not bad. The change in handling of the login is not a plus as far as I can see.
Hmm... Sig Pics. -
Actually, I liked that extra layer of security. Keeping the forum login and game login separate had been a good idea in my opinion. If you browse the forums on WiFi it at least did meant your game account was safe.
There is a definite need now to ensure that the forum log in is secure. -
Very nice bonuses. Thanks!

The gaming club I am a part of once played CoH a lot until the advent of WoW. Only two of us remained playing CoH through the years until this week.
One of our members is back on Champion and had this to say to the club:
[ QUOTE ]
There is some neat new stuff in the game and I am doing what usually does not happen when I restart an MMO I used to play, I am enjoying getting back into the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
Perhaps more of the old group will be back, I hope. -

Wonder if I can get someone to get a card for me -

They have been around so long they should be paying US to eat.
[/ QUOTE ]
Jay and I were actually paid by Taco Bell to eat one day. They were doing some marketing research on a new product and gave us some "taco bell bucks" for sampling it and filling out a little form.
[/ QUOTE ]
Right, but they don't pay you to eat there everyday, do they? -

Happy Birthday, Rick.

Ditto, Happy Birthday.
It sure would be nice if it were this week, but the big guns have not said when so... "Dunno". -
[ QUOTE ]
You're suppressed when you're the target of the attack, when you're casting heals, buffs, etc. The "tactical" limitations he's probably referring to is that you can't make a pure support character as easily who just bounces around endlessly, unsuppressed, throwing out heals and buffs. Once that support character heals/buffs/becomes the target of an attack, all their movement screeches to a halt.
[/ QUOTE ]
In part. I am talking about suppression all around. I do/did play more than just a defender in PvP and he was an Offender more than not. -
The following is my opinion:
I thought the PvP was originally quite promising. Until RV there was no real compelling reason to do it in an open zone - goal based PvP is more compelling to me.
Had they introduced dual builds prior to I13's release, they would have seem more people playing for that reason alone. However, I personally dislike the PvP suppression. Losing mobility takes away to much of the tactical abilities one should be allowed to play with. As such, I simply don't play.
Now, if there were more people playing, I would most likely ignore it, but with so few PvPers, it is not enjoyable. -
Darn... two bad I am working two jobs on the 28th.
Sure looks exciting however.
