Quote:Well it depends really. Faultline revamp was certainly new content, Hollows revamp not so much (or at all really). I'd love to see DA finally, finally revamped. Or the Shards.Revamps of blue-side might make me actually play blue-side. Revamps are new content.
With i20 requiring an NDA I'm really hoping all departments of Paragon Studios set up to the mark with it : IE New systems, which we know we're getting via the new Trial and Incarnate ability, new content / maps (revamped is fine as long as Red Side players can get in the action too) and the new Powers team getting some Proliferation or Powerset revamping done too. -

Quote:^This. When one of the only reviews you've gotten in the last year (yes, even the Going Rogue release managed to get no reviews at all) is highlighting issues that have met with a stony silence from the devs you hope that they'd at least pay a small bit of attention to what it is saying.Whilst I would LOVE to see bases get some love (and PvP even thought I don't do it), I just don't see it happening in the near future. That is not even really a complaint. Been with the game a long time, and don't plan on leaving any time soon. And I think our Dev's DO listen to us, I just don't think they see the game the same way the players do. I dunno, it would be cool if the read this and kick in some stuff for the "sub groups", but I just don't see it happening. The whole "Needs of the many..." thing.
Rather than running off and implementing some OTHER system and then abandoning it (waves to Mission Architect) -
Quote:Are there separate versions of the animal booster in the store, or just one that applies to both European and US versions of the game? I remember way back I bought an European version and had to ask support to sort it out - is that still an issue?
Avatea has clarified in the past that the Booster packs are the same across the board.
Just to be safe here's the two links for Animal Pack for you

Quote:Except it's not a bot, is it? A bot would be something which plays the game for you, not which analyses logs / on-screen info and summaries it in one central location.Bots are illegal in every nearly game. Guess what a bot does?
This argument is therefore invalid.
Personally I feel the "screen scraping" idea is dodgier than something which mirrors Herostats and uses logs to collate information, since a log file analyzer synced with an online database is by definition you deciding to share your data with that on-line system (opt-in).
Any sort of "screen scraper" is harvesting general data which isn't really easy to monitor continuously which would seem to me to be a bit closer to the "unfair advantage" argument (although I think myself the chief reason Market Data isn't publically accessible in some way is based on system load as well as any other concerns, which may or may not be valid, the Devs certainly are not infallible when it comes to how the market was originally designed to work). -

I haven't found the knockback too annoying at all in NRG on my Elec/NRG.
The main reason is that it is all single target knockback. So when actually playing the set you tend to drop the sleep patch or Confuse, run into melee range to drain the group and then focus-fire on specific enemies until they are dead. Hold em, smack em with a melee or two and then send them bouncing to their deaths down a corridor (or do the godly Power Push and Total Focus combo, a brilliant safe way to deliver huge amounts of smackdown to a nasty boss). Then switch targets to your next victim. It doesn't really matter that your target is no longer being drained, they're held and generally flying through the air anyway. Meanwhile the *rest* of the spawn are sleeping/confused and being drained as you stand beside them (I throw out Fences, Whirling Hands and occasionally Jolting Chain at them to make sure I do enough damage to get some XP from them even if they start defeating each other).
Since your focus is single target it's also easily countered with the single target immob if you really want them to stay close to you but I've never felt the need for it
The only downside really is things like Scrappers on PuGs chasing after them occasionally but I've found you quickly pick up an understanding, both taking on separate targets and taking them down. -
Quote:My Elec/NRG Domi loves fighting Super Stunners. Especially if I can finish them off with Power Push. No rez for you Sparkles (although I've seen them cheat and rez from non-combat hostages whom I pushed them close to. Not to mention the idiot Gremlins).Honestly? I used to like the Sister Psyche TF. But since some demented soul at Paragon decided that every single spawn absolutely must have a Super Stunner I have learned to despise it. I absolutely hate that mob. Their end drain is completely over the top. It nearly approaches Malta Sapper levels of effectiveness.

Quote:Originally I did it because they started throwing security errors over my card details a few months back (EU Card trying to pay for US service I guess) but I've had no issues since I did so.I might follow your lead on that one, Carni, the CC system is so bad it can't even remember my details. Ever.
Better off letting the professionals handle credit card processing, seems NCSoft can't get a handle on it themselves. -
Their store is simply rubbish at handling CC payments.
I just used PayPal instead, as I do for all my transactions with NCSoft. -
This is a very interesting idea indeed.
Ideally the very best thing to do would be to include it as part of a new version of Herostats, or Titan Sentinel (as opt-in options) simply to have a wider install base.
Titan Sentinel also communicates with servers already so technically that side of the app would be done.
*Edit : Checking their forums I see this mentioned :http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index....ic,3814.0.html
That's slightly different but it shows they're thinking along those lines so maybe they've also allowed for market tracking in v1.0.
Edit #2 : Hope you don't mind, I've reposted your suggestion over at the Sentinel forums as well here :

Quote:According to City of Data even the Player version is non-resistable.Well now. I've previously tested, bugged, and reported on the forums that Earthquake from Possessed Scientists in PI is unresistable. It cuts right through /SR's 95% DDR. See the link for screenies.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Earthquake from other sources, noatble COT Earth Thorns and BP Avalanche Shamans, was also unresistable. Need to test that, though.
Quake is around 10% so it's not massive. But if it's non-resistable across the board that means it'll really hit SR characters hard. -
You forgot the GM Ambush (or is Babbage just a Monster?) in the middle somewhere.

Quote:So every time they add a new product for any game to their online store the entire store has to be taken down, across the board to let it happen? It does a little...especially since it always takes a damn age for the site to come back up
So all the Aion players cannot manage their accounts or purchase things? People can't buy the Going Rogue expansion from the site now, or set up an account?
That's unbelievable! -
Quote:No, a Set IO would always outperform a same-level Combined Common IO. If a Set IO affects two things their total will be 125% that of a Common IO, if 3 it's 150% and 4 is 166% (I think, I always forget that bit).Time for me to eat some crow.
Went home and did some tinkering in Mids. At level 35, a triple IO (like Acc/End/Rech) would offer the exact same numbers of End and Rech as the combo common IO (under that OPs suggestion). At level 50, the triple IO would out perform the combo.
So yeah, cool idea, not game breaking, but it really doesn't bring anything that can't be done already as far as numbers go. -

Quote:Then Neutron Bomb didn't have any defense to check against, and it was debuffing your defense by 7.5 a pop after Defense Debuff resistance.I only had 70% or so resists at the time. I got my AoE toggle after levelling up in that mission, though.
That's assuming the masks debuff is at the same level as a Defenders, which I'm not sure of, but it's likely. It'll also spam it as it should recharge much quicker than the defender version since it's the only attack a mask has.
Plus Masks are immune to Taunt, so if you were on a team no-one would be able to pull the damn thing off you. -
Quote:Yes, yes I do.Do you really want the devs create an entire new system of combining IO's, when you could just do some tip missions/TF's/mission arcs/etc, and make more than enough influence to afford something like a low level posi dam/range? If you want a more optimized character, you have to invest more. It's as simple as that.
There's been no change in how you can slot enhancements in 6 issues now. This new system is simple and should be straight forward (allowing for SCR) to implement compared to Set IOs. -
Quote:I don't slot HOs, they're too expensive, and more importantly none of the examples cited are level 50. I don't actually HAVE any 50s US sideReplace a Dam/Recharge with a Dam/Range HO(it's cheap IIRC) or a Posi IO and slot a Recharge IO in the 5th slot.
Not really an example.
Not very useful. You already have more than enough Endmod in there to counteract nuke -recovery.
How expensive is the Mez/Acc HO? Can't check ingame atm. 3 Acc/Mez/Rech , a Recharge IO, and a Mez/Acc HO should do the trick, and if it's not an option a Mez/Acc IO should suffice.
having a bit more options for Shiver might be nice, but I never found more than just end reduction needed on snow storm. I remember a thread about making an end reduction intesnsive slow set, and that would be far easier to implement than IO alchemy.
The entire reason I like this idea is that they complement the idea of Frankenslotting, cheap IOs (in other words not Posi's Blast for example, they're sought after and too expensive) and certainly not HOs.
I get you wouldn't see it as useful for your situation given the fact you're suggesting HOs as an alternative. But they aren't suitable for someone levelling and struggling with slot distribution. That's where I see this system being a useful option, for slot-tight, levelling builds, not level 50s with a lot of cash to spend on one character. -
Quote:The Rad blast debuffs makes Quake defense debuffs look like nothing.I *am* an SR user. My SR character was getting plunged into negative defense almost instantly against BP early this morning. Particularly against those glowing green masks, as I recall. I assumed they were using some form of Radiation debuff.
If you're mid-20s rather than level 50 and fully built then it makes even more sense. Neutron Bomb is an AOE attack with which debuffs defense by 25. -
I gave you about 4 of them based on in-game experiences over the last few months when Frankenslotting
