I just emailed myself a crafted Coercive Persuasion : Contagious Confusion proc from my widow to myself so my Plant/Emp could use it.
When I logged in as my Controller it was there as expected, but I didn't realise my Enhancement Tray was full when I clicked claim. It vanished from the mail altogether. "No problem", I thought, I'll just log back in to the Widow and re-email it. But when I logged back in as the Widow it wasn't anywhere to be found there either.
Is there somewhere else it goes to I don't know about or will I just have to put a petition in and wait for a GM to respond and hopefully restore it for me?
Really annoyed because this is the first purple I've ever earned and crafted for one of my characters.
Any help appreciated.
EDIT!! Never mind, it just rematerialized in my Enhancement Tray about 10 minutes later. Weird.
Edit 2 : Not weird, apparently this is how the system now works. Got a very quick reply from a GM saying that clearing a spot for it and either waiting or sending a fresh email to myself would cause it to return. -
I20. The issue that keeps on giving.

Quote:This basically. It doesn't really affect me, but there would be options available if it wasn't that they've decided to do this as easily and cheaply as possibly, rather than doing it properly. They ought to delete trial accounts once they hit 90 days past the end of the trial to avoid conflicts.
They should certainly delete one on your master account if you request it.
Heck, they ought to offer to merge full NA/EU accounts under the same master account - as a chargeable service if necessary.
There's a lot of things they could do if they really wanted to, but they're all time+money+hassle, so don't hold your breath. -
If you mean Paralyzing Blast, that doesn't chain at all. It's a standard ranged AOE hold.
Other chains have a "no chain" timeout of something like 5 seconds in which a previously hit target cannot be re-hit. Seems like Ion is missing this. -
Quote:My Fort just dinged 50 during the week, and also finished her first Hero Tips run the same night, making me 50 merits. She had 19 million in her pocket. I sold 1 bit of salvage, did the conversion, made the roll, did some crafting of the results and now she had 120 million instead soley from crafting and selling those drops.20mil inf!???????
I think I'll stick to tips!
Thanks for the info!
At first glance they weren't even that impressive as drops to me, no Luck of the Gambler or Regen/Recovery uniques but 2 were parts of sets with good set bonuses. -
Kinetics suits Scrappers better, due to the damage buffs and critting Concentrated Strike, Fire suits Brutes better due to having a Taunt in Blazing Aura, higher HP and Resistance cap and the way Fiery Embrace now adds an extra Fire damage effect to your powers, meaning it will also be buffed by Fury. Fury also affects Blazing Aura and the damage ticks of Burn.

Interestingly I just logged into my NCSoft Master Account (reconfirming myself yet again because my IP Address changed) and there is no indication that the EU account has changed in any way shape or form at all, the Account Name is as it was before (same as the US account name).
Can I assume you guys aren't bright enough to update the Account Names there, and that EU people who come back later and try and use that screen to confirm their login name will just get no help there and have no real clue why their log in no longer works as they remembered it? -
Quote:The way Domination effects work, as a second conditional effect in a power, means you can't just say "Slap an extra mag 1 onto the current confuse effect". You could put a 100% chance of mag 1 in, but that'd spam the Domination message all the time I think which would be slightly misleading. Adding another Chance of Mag 3 confuse would work better, although interestingly rather than making it more effective vs bosses it would instead make it more effective vs minions and lieuts and only slightly so vs bossesWell, maybe buff the pet, but definitely change his horrible AI since most of the time he just stands around.
PLEASE make AA benefit from domination ... OMG that would be excellent! ... even if Domination added +1 mag confuse it would be great to just have something extra ...
Quote:Yes definitely remove the KD protection from ALL aoe immobilizes!

Quote:She will be back and is probably the little girl. I mean that seemed to be a very tardis type thing to be do. And the Silence obviously wanted a Timelord, probably to work whatever time machine they were cobbling together...A few things worth mentioning:
Dr Renfrew is clearly based on Renfield (Dracula).
Greystrike Ophanage is apparently a nod to Greystoke Hall (Tarzen), but they get thier signs made by the same people who did Arkham Asylum.
Possibly the most sureal moment of the episode was the disapearing door window, through which we briefly saw Frances Barber with a cybernetic eyepatch. She will be back.
A throught: The Moff is recreating characters from the Dr Who he grew up with. Rory = Harry Sullivan, Canton = the Brigader.
There were tonnes of references to old and new movies stuffed in there. Moffat certainly owes Dark City a nod, and I suspect he read The Quantum Thief sometime last year. -
Quote:Really it depends. My own take on it is "if you can do lots of damage indirectly, via pseudo pets and things like confuse Ice is brilliant. If you love being in melée anyway, do a fair amount of damage yourself and don't have confusion to rope enemies into doing damage for you then Earth is very useful".
Funny enough outside of the poo armor earth mastery has I actually like it, but I just dont think it's as good as ice or relatively close.
I've also noticed that on fast steam rolling teams ice can be a bit slow to deploy/do it's thing but it's brilliant in prolonged fights vs things like Avs and in invasion type scenarios. Earth is kinda the opposite, great on fast moving teams hopping from spawn to spawn, less useful against Avs where being in melée can get you squashed very quickly and End can be a real issue. -
Quote:This and this. The way domination and "chance of mez" work means you cannot directly up the mag of a chance of, all you can do is add another effect with a chance of working, if domination is up. Domination mezzes are extra conditional effects which are built into the powers (which is why I suggested elsewhere that Arctic Air should get an additional chance for a mag 3 confuse effect in domination, rather than just upping the mag of the existing effect, the engine doesn't allow it).I believe it acts as two separate chances for 2-mag stun when domination is active. If I'm right, that means there's a 43.75% chance of at least a 2-mag stun being applied to a given enemy, and there's a 6.25% chance of the stun being 4-mag.
Psychic Scream only does 28.43 damage per animation second, while Psychic Shockwave does 35.86. That aspect is about all I care about in my attacks, since I usually have enough attacks and recharge rate to never miss a beat.
Psi screams animation and 30 degree cone makes it less effective than the quick animating pbaoe. The animation is really the only thing remaining which makes psi shockwave better than the other pbaoes nowadays. -
Hmmmm. I'm hoping this is just random unluck or a bug, not an undocumented change so rain of powers work with interfaces slightly saber, because that'll suck for Fire and Ice corruptors.

For ghosty I'd go with the two intesive recharge uniques and then frankenslot for recharge, dam and enough accuracy. The other two uniques can be squeezed into zombies and maybe dark servant.
Personally I try to have at least a zombie spawned ghosty out as often as I can, it's another controllable pet and is better than the zombie, which you can resummon anyway afterwards.
Dark servant frankenslot slot for to hit and recharge. Don't use accurate to hit to slot for accuracy as it won't affect some powers which don't take the set (the hold mainly). The ds is the same as the defender version, except he's not perm normally, so I find having him out all the time is very handy.
I know some pets with heals are slighty dumb, they don't use it until someone has lost more health than it heals for, so slotting for heal can be a bad thing, it makes them wait longer before using it. But I have never checked if that is the case for ds. Fairly sure it is for the zombie, ghosty, grave knight and lich drains though, so I never slot them for heal. -
Quote:Do the Granny Weatherwax thing and just makes others *think* they've been turned into something else. Technically less cruel and more entertaining for passers by.Even better...
Turning others, regardless of their current gender, into a cat girl for an hour.
@2short2care. I'm not the only one to share this pointless gift. This makes me happy.
Why couldn't it be lotto numbers or horses in races we get precog hunches about. -
Quote:If we had to change Ice Control, for me it would be like this:
- Buff the pet to match Earth pet's resistance (although then the other pet sets would probably ask for the same, since the Earth pet is the outlier)
- Drop Recharge on AA from 15 seconds to 3 seconds to make it easier to retoggle, possibly reduce animation time and endurance cost
- Increase knockdown chance in Ice Slick from 9% to 11% per tick to make it clearly the best "KD patch" (it is already 1% better per tick than Earthquake, several % better than Freezing Rain and the like)
If I had to change Ice Control I'd :
- Buff the pet : Not to the levels of Stoney but I'd make him a bit tougher
- Make Arctic Air get a benefit from Domination : +2.98s Confused (mag 3) (after 1 second delay) (15% chance) If in Domination Mode (this is how Bonesmasher works currently, in Domination Mode it gets 2 50% to stun checks). I've made it only 15% chance because this effect can self-stack, unlike the normal one
- Buff Ice Patch : 7.5% ToHit Debuff. Earthquake has one, I'd give patch one too, but not quite so high (since it's better at knockdown). Also allow Patch to accept -ToHit enhancements.
- Remove the -knockdown from the Holds, or drop it to around 5 seconds worth.
- Flash Freeze should be normalised as people have suggested (which allows it to become Alpha Control, although Ice Patch from cover is good at that too).

Quote:Tonnes of lag for 20 minutes and then everything going back exactly as it was beforehand?People have complained about not seeing any change to the game world despite Tin Mage, Apex and Sutter showing great destruction in Kings Row, Steel Canyon and Skyway. Now we're finally seeing some effect of the invasions.
I mean the Rikti have been invading for years now and they haven't even managed to knock a single building over. Someone should buy them a monument destroying laser, those bombs are useless.

Quote:I know it's a week, but it starts the same time as the global list merge, meaning people with duplicated EU/NA account names will not get chance to change the NA global in adance, as we were originally promised by Zwillinger.
I think it will be possible to fix things, as I posted earlier, but will be a lot more awkward.
My point stands, we were told we would get the reactivation weekend in advance of the global merge, no we are not.
I cannot fathom why they aren't throwing the Reactivation switch today instead, unless they don't want to have a downtime in the middle of it.
The whole point of the reactivation was to give people a chance to tidy up their own accounts. The approach they're going with seems destined to generate a lot more CS work for NCSoft next week post-merge. -
Agree with SaltyHero, Ice Control could certainly do with another pass, but with Castle having gone and the current Powers Team being so quiet on the boards I'd be doubtful they'd ever get around to it.
It's also behind Gravity in the queue for Control Sets which should be looked at again, IMO. -
Happy Birthday Batman. I hope your parents get you something nice for it...

Quote:There was mention of "incarnate story arcs" being developed currrently, so perhaps there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the solo folks.
AAAAH. The end of the tunnel is on fire!!
If you are making a new zone please try and actually stick some worthwhile content other than a single TF into it.
And please, please, please don't be in or around Praetoria.
Overall I agree with Bill, I'd much prefer to see one of the cool but empty zones we already have become used and useful rather than just adding some new one, even if it's the same amount of work. -
Invasions would be great, if the servers and game client could actually handle the number of players enemies they throw about. Instead it becomes a frustrating lag fest with powers pretending to be recharged, 10 second delays on everything and enemies popping in and out of existance thanks to the 100 entity rule.
Mind you I could also say the same thing about trials.
My Plant/Emps contribution to any Invasion event.
1) Stick Healing Aura on auto.
2) Summon Carrion Creepers & Fly Trap.
3) Run off for 5 minutes and do something else instead.
4) Come back and resummon creepers
Repeat 3 and 4 until it ends.
If the game is fixed between now and then so it can actually handle this sort of event I'll be there. Otherwise I'll be doing something actually worthwhile which isn't a frustrating lag-fest. -

Quote:Yes, silly Onion. You'd think it was a parody news site or something with that lack of attention to detail.Says someone that has obviously not read Superman books v.v
Superman would always choose flight probably just from the way he love it so much.
But if I had to choose... time-space manipulation powers or high powered ESP powers.
I'd pick teleportation, no question.
Oddly enough, I'm already psychic / precognant, but only in terms of knowing what episode of the Simpsons Sky are going to be repeating that evening (seriously, it's very odd, a Simpsons line will pop into my head during the day occasionally and that evening that episode will show on telly. I've no actual control over this wonderful power though, like Cassandra it's more of a curse than a blessing). -
