I sometimes wonder if AE should have a random story creator. You can add as much or as little as you want, then press the random button and it will fill in the remaining with stock dialog and objectives.
It may be a good alternative to a Nemesis system. -
Not the toon, but the name.
I use Calash in every game I play, and on most forums. In WoW he was a Gnome Rogue. In Jumpgate a Quantar Miner. Horizons has him a young dragon.
I do tend to play my main the same. Primarily a Solo player who does enjoy good groups just as much as spending time gathering resources. I would spend hours mining in Jumpgate, hitting some of the disputed asteroid belts. -

Things We'll Never See:
The honeymoon tape of Manticore and Sister Psyche, and if we did our minds would be erased and would not remember it.
Statesman with a full helmet.
A tan Nemesis.
Clockwork Kings bachelor party.
A Hellion fire chief
The Family starring in a PSA "Just say no to drugs"
Trolls starring in a PSA "Me no like drug. Me say no!"
A Marcus Cole from another dimension that is not evil.
The Hamidon in a workout video -
Depends on the powerset and if I get a good regular team.

Remember that no matter where you go or what life brings your way that TV will forever love you.
Forever... -
50 miles south of us is expected to get 2 feet. Right now they are still saying it will dodge CT and we will get an inch but things can change
I know it is only snow but stay safe and drive carefully if you have to go out. -

Bow? TV never asks you to bow.
TV just wants to love you. To care for you. Living in this city is hard work and each of us deserves the right to enjoy some time with TV.
And what does TV ask in return? Does it demand that you serve it like Recluse? Does it pretend to be a scientist like Aeon?
No...It just wants your love. No secrets, no deception...just love. -
Quote:When your city is full of heroes, there is always one that slips up and takes the supradine...thats when its time for...Intervention.
(this is the speech we give to those who do)
When you feel like the supradine has taken over your toons life, you are placed between the green line and the yellow line, and travel powers have no effect.... It's time for an invention. You should be sent to the invention room, set some goals in your next mission, pop some inspirations because at this point fighting lowbies just wont cut it. We need to lay off the Supradine and jump out of that circle of thorns and get back to the virtual world. What would Crimson say? He needs you. You need to step away from the computer for a second and plan out your next try at badges. The apacolypse is coming and Supradine is not helping. Give it to the trolls and become a real hero. It's time to take controll of the situation, help defend paragon. Tank the rest of what you have and throw the scraps in with it. It will be a blast once you get back into the swing of things. The gladiators are calling you to the Arena! Fight! Learn to respec yourselve like Ms. Liberty and Jack Wolfe does. Don't let the noobs ruin your rikti raid, instead form a team and be merry. Trasform yourself into what you want to be, not what you arent. It's as easy as "alakazamreact"... We are not here to harm you, but if matters get worse, we will have to take you somewhere to get you away from keeping us from OUR goals. Glowies are just the next step into intervention. All we are asking is you is to obstain the magic from the pack, throw on your best costume (but remember this is no contest), and shape up. It's definatly not all silver and gold, but its better than what you are going through. You have it in you to get to 50, you can make it through Steel Canyon, against the Giant Monsters of the world. Do not let the worthless spam get in the way of acheiving your dream of being a level 50 with the purple badge of honor! Arch-Villains are just there to cause harm but with the help of your friends you can form a coalition ....become a super group....and take him down, don't let him take you down. It's time to wakie up, break free of your old self. You can do it...and We can help. Will you please take this gift we are offering you today? If you do not, we will have to block you from our friends list, globally ignore you, and not be a team anymore. Please, do this for us, for the other groups out there, if anything....do it for yourself.
The drugged out hero decided to take the gift that was given to him/her. The went to a local hospital to get treatment. they told the staff they had self destructed and glad they got this in time. Their sets were numbered. They had so much going for them.
4 months after recovery the earned the Caregiver badge and went on patrol. the relapsed and ended up back in the hospital after fighting with the supa-trolls for their last bottle of supradine. He/she is no longer part of the super group, they have no coalition of friends, and everyone globally ignored them. Now they live among the lost in the park of perez.

Perhaps it is time to let go of your petty addictions and seek a higher calling. A true calling. One that will not waste your life away with no reward, but instead love and nurture you...like a parent would a newborn child.
Last night I was watching TV and the newscaster was talking about this very thing. She said that 85% of people who neglect to watch TV turn to drugs, sex, and violence. The doctor who they interviewed said that without the nurturing and caring of an authority figure who truly loves and cares for you, such as TV, a person is much more likely to be attracted to other addictions as a method of trying to fill the void left in their lives.
Don't let this happen to you. Make sure you get your daily TV time. Not only is it entertaining, it is good for you too. -
As I recall Shields taunt aura is a bit weaker than most but not as weak as Willpower. With careful slotting and some attention you should be able to manage your aggro without Taunt.
That being said I personally would not skip it. It is the best aggro management tool out there. Auto hit, low endurance, quick recharge, and a good spot for taunt sets.
That is just my opinion however and you will find others who do not need it. It really comes down to if you are having trouble holding aggro or not. If you find you are Taunt is a good solution. If not enjoy your tauntless tanker -
There was a commercial on the other day. Some woman was talking about how she got one room carpeted and the other two for free. Then she gave the number for advertising on TV and said that she would be more than happy to support a foreign state provided they enforced strict mandatory TV watching time. A trade of mutual benefit where TV gets a new audience and a great and powerful Emperor gains another ally and way to spread his word to minds all over his worlds.
After that some animated people quickly finished carpeting a room and the theme song played. In all it seemed like a great commercial and I would be happy to buy the product. -
I was watching a very interesting show last night as I slipped deeper into a TV induced coma. I really think it speaks to you and your experience with TV.
It was called "Who wants to be a Millionaire by hunting down Rotten Luck and dragging him back to the warm loving TV?"
Title seemed a bit long at first but I really did not mind. The contestants were entertaining, the super villain types who think elephants are larger than the moon.
I look forward to tonight's episode.... -
Location: Perez Park
Participants: Hellions, Skulls, PPD - Using GM code.
In the interest of having some low-level events, increased activity in Perez, and a way to expand the Hellion/Skulls story line I got to thinking about a gang war event in Perez.
How it would work:
During the gang war normal spawns would be disabled and pedestrians turned to panic run mode. On the map a point will be marked that is the center of the fighting. A 15 minute timer would turn on.
At the 12 minute mark waves of Hellions and Skulls would spawn, set as enemies to each other and heroes. As spawns are depleted new waves will come in to take their place, similar to how Sirens call works.
At the 5 minute mark friendly PPD would spawn and also attack, but with reduced numbers.
At the end of the time limit whatever side lost the most members loses. If the PPD do not all die then they are marked as winning Every person close to the battle will then get a 15 minute buff depending on the side that wins. There would also be badges for x kills of gang war mobs, and a few EBs can spawn depending on the number of heroes in the area to give scaling badge rewards.
Not quite sure how to work the winning side since you cannot attack the PPD. Was thinking of EB spawns at 5 minutes that all fight each other and the last one standing wins, but EB's at that level may be too much for lowbie groups.
The end result is to give low level players an event that can introduce them to some of the future zone events without being too difficult. It would also be a good place to throw some lore about the conflict between he groups -
I just noticed that my name was on this thread. I want to apologize for the state that Time for Reflection is currently in. It is a good story idea that has been sadly neglected by its author, namely me.
I have begun to work on the story again. Need to work out the mechanics of what I am trying to do with it but hopefully I should have a better story soon. -
Kinetic armor!!!
Me want....Me Want!!! -
Quote:Just to add a bit more on the Shield side. At a Mothership Raid on my shield/fire tank, I went to place a bomb after the GM was already down.
The entire spawn of Rikti (mixed of all types and so many i could not see...) that went to the gate and inside the small bomb room could not stop the tank from planting the bomb. The tank is soft capped melee and ranged. Shield does not have a Psi hole.
The majority of Rikti do not use Psi, so that is really not a good test. Most raids I am on are mainly energy or S/L damage.
Unless you get a bad spawn of magusssessss (extra s's because I don't like them)

We live in a game where the majority of our content is within instances. Of course there will be map repetition. A larger map pool would not be a bad thing but overall I think it is a good tradeoff to what it could be.
